I think his thought was just pick the QB from massive market teams. Tons of people have Fields jersey's and he isn't popular. But Bears back then had defensive guys still to get a jersey for while today, they have no one. Urlahcer, Briggs, Peppers, Tillman, probably Hester were all more popular jerseys back then. Can't really think of many now that out compete Fields. Similar thought process with Sanchez - though like I said with Bears, guys like Mangold, Revis and Tomlinson were probably their top selling guys.

If it weren't counting lost fumbles and it was just fumbles in general Justin fields would've been on that list... 3 years into his career 😂 he just hit like 40 fumbles and career was averaging 2 fumbles a game earlier in the year, he got it down to 1.5/game now though!

Fields is horrible at seeing the field, reading defenses, trusting routes, and most of all protecting the ball!!; but every QB to come through there in a decade (being generous) has had these issues so it's hard to solely blame Fields. It's the perfect storm to have a record breaking losing percentage and # of fumbles for a QB in his first 3 years. At least they're making history in some fashion I guess 😂😣
