This is the first time I see one of your long form videos and I love it. 15 year chef myself and I love your content, its thorough, thoughtful and well communicated. Best cooking content I've seen in years. Great job chef!
i love these videos. everything is so well explained, its all done in a very chill manner; no explosions, insane editing, distracting music. keep up the great works andy!!
Yes, they use garlic in the original dressing but use lime. Still a hotel there in Mexico and still make it table side. Awesome channel, Andy! Love it!
That turned out fantastic, I wish that I had the time in casual restaurants to plate everything properly and pay more attention to each component like you can with home cooking. I’m on my way to working in a real kitchen one day and I can’t wait!
Thank you for sharing the history of Caesar salad. The restaurant still exists. Everything is made exactly the same as it was in the 1920's. I can't wait to experience it. I'll be visiting Tijuana soon.
Andy, we live in San Diego and have been down to the hotel where the restaurant still operates. I think Caesar was a waiter at the restaurant who made the salad. There is no raw garlic but anchovies are a must. It’s very simple as you say, and delicious.
It was made by: World-famous Caesar`s Salad was born here, in Tijuana, in 1927. Created by Cesar Cardini, by then the chef and owner of Ceasar´s Restauran
A restaurant near my former office used to do a killer Caesar Salad that's pretty similar to this one, always loved it. Will definitely give this recipe a try
OMG!! Absolutely love a great Caesar salad. Tasting History with Max Miller does an excellent job of covering the history of this salad. So going to try your version of Caesar Salad soon. Thank you so very much for explaining in such great detail how to get extra crispy bacon. Requesting fried green tomatoes for Christy.
I agree. When a good quality chicken breast is cooked with care and the skin is 'rendered' well' it is a thing of beauty. Delicate texture, moist and flavourful. Mouth-watering. Paired with all the umami goodness of a crisp, well dressed salad w bacon/parmesan... choice!
I wish my Nana had chickens! Also, I eat raw eggs pretty regularly. Whether it be in cake or cookie batter, or just a raw yolk in some ramen... 38yrs old and never gotten sick from it in my life. Tbf though, if I ever do, I probably will never eat them again! 😂
Found you from a short making this dish. Love it. Curious, am I the only person who likes tomatoes added to my Caesar salad? I always add it. When I do the croutons, I heat the oil with a few cloves of garlic in it first before putting the oil over the bread. Perfection!
Def one of the best home cooking channels. Andy you could do something about your lighting for the shots when you're at the bench. In this vid you have the natural light maxing out behind you and it's distracting. Natural light looks nice on the stove shots but we want to see you and your cooking not your overexposed window
Classic - "save the whites for pavlova or keep in the fridge and throw em out in a week's time when you realise they've been there too long !! That's me LOL.
That is the most delicious looking Ceasar salad. I might try making that without anchovies tho cos I'm just not a fan. Made your stroganoff last night amazing and I'm not a chef!!! Easy to follow, great to enjoy. Well done mate.
Chicken Caesar Salad has been my ultimate favourite dinner since I can remember. I loved the way my dad used to make it and I love the way I make it now that I’m the cook. And now I just can’t wait to try out the way you do it. Awesome video, so easy to follow, deffo trying it this way soon 🍽️
Caesar salad is a favourite, and I also have learned to do mine myself. I never use chicken or egg though, but bacon and fried mushrooms and sometimes half a mozzarella in slices, otherwise pretty identical to Andys. The most important part for me is the dressing. Take no shortcuts and be generous!
I was watching another video and saw this and had to watch. When you cook in that restaurant setting, where is that. It has a neat set up. Restaurants have some of the coolest kitchen toys. Not sure why seeing you cook so much in cast iron at that restaurant surprises me. At home yes. For something so simple it is hard to find a good Caesar salad. Appreciate the video.
I’ve always loved the history of this salad. Here is the reason we have it today. It is said that Caesar was short of supplies and didn't want to disappoint the customers so he concocted this salad with what was on hand. To add a flair to this he prepared it at the table. ❤🎉
Hey! as someone who has watched, and learned alot from following your videos here on youtube ( and tiktok), the one thing i miss from you is the student life style, though it can be hard to recreate, as different ingredients and raw food costs are different across the globe, something that taste good, doesnt need to sit in a smalll fridge for 100 hours nor cost a 100 quid to make could be cool to see. might even be better to make it as a "spend as little as possible for as much taste as possible" type of video. Anyways, cheers from Norway, the pizza dough video elevated my meals, lets hope this salad one does the same :)
Could you explain the reasoning behind putting the chicken in cold oil and bringing up to temp, vs. putting oil into a hot pan? I’ve always done the latter. Thanks!
I smashed that like button and I'm already subscribed, but it looks like you are doing just fine. love your channel and damn almost 3.5M. Tip of the hat
The Worcestershire sauce is the only non-traditional ingredient. Otherwise bang up job sir. Only add I have is if you don't use the Worcestershire you'll definitely want add salt and probably a bit more garlic. And a neutral oil would lend itself to taste for seasoning.
I cant believe we both posted chicken caesar salad videos today!! 😂 looks amazing Andy and I love all the extra bits!!
2 favourite youtube chefs making similar videos is as close to a collab we're probably going to get considering the distance!
Crazy aye!
I watch both of you guys… I 2nd that collab! 🎉
I actually thought the same thing when I got both notifications at the same time
What’s up with his Nan not sponsoring his videos for using her chicken eggs!?
This is the first time I see one of your long form videos and I love it. 15 year chef myself and I love your content, its thorough, thoughtful and well communicated. Best cooking content I've seen in years. Great job chef!

I continue to be impressed not only by your recipes but your technique and attention to cleanliness and sanitation.
Rapidly becoming my new favourite cooking channel, keep up the great content
Yeah he is good. Just down to earth.
The plating is always so top tier. It somehow looks like a magazine cover and something I could make at home🙌
That throw it away in a weeks time comment hit way to close to home
The reality of trying not to waste things (sometimes) 😂
a big fan of this channel. I think Andy is one of the best chefs of Australia !
Thank you bro!

I love ceaser salads with and without chicken. Could you do a American Cobb salad please.
I made this today and my goodness, delicious. And the chicken! Fantastic. Thanks @AndyCooks 👌🤌
Love that the whisk escaping from the bowl wasn't edited out. It seems to be a common occurrence in kitchens 🤣
"Nana's chickens...not sponsored" LOL
🤣
Banger salad Andy! 🎉
Darn that looks good! never seen bacon cooked in water, your expiations as to why were right informative. Thanks cobber,
I love how this man keeps his fumbles in. I appreciate it ^_^ Looks tasty! thank you Andy, your a legend
Looks great! I do mine very similar, but I start the croutons in the pan after cooking the chicken in the fat before I put the croutons in the oven.
"or put them in the fridge and throw them out in a week's time when you realise they've been there too long" ..... haha, so true!!!

Down to Tijuana that is.
There are conflicting stories on who technically “created it”. Max Miller does a history episode about it. ^_^

Awesome! Let me know how you go with the bacon.

That's the best looking Caesar salad I've ever seen.
This is so much more substantial and interesting than a "classic" Caesar Salad!
Wow! Looks great!
Thank you!
Classic - "save the whites for pavlova or keep in the fridge and throw em out in a week's time when you realise they've been there too long !! That's me LOL.
Love this dish 😋

Love Caesar salad, my favorite
I asked for ceasar salad weeks ago. Finally. Looks delish 😋
My favorite salad!
I’ve always known the dressing to traditionally be made with smashed or grated garlic. I’ve understood that to be the “correct” way.
Very nice verdion of one of my favorite salads. Great accompanying story, too.
May I suggest a recipe for mopping up the leftovers?
Rissoles, please
Anchovies are 100% critical to a good dressing!
Love his videos
Thank you

Made this as a side for lasagna sans chicken and bacon. Went really well. Cheers.
im so happy i found you when scrolling through tiktok. absolute legend of the game.
Thank you!

Looking good andy
looks amazing, love caesar salads and your vids. I would make the croutons a bit smaller, but other than that I think this is perfect.
Just made the dressing in this recipe, simply amazing 👌 👌
Thanks for the Chef Tips Chef... fyi, that water thing works great with turkey bacon too, you jus gotta add a little olive oil to get it crispy.
I had it recently in Mexico city, my home with flakes of parmesan cheese on top... delicious
Mmmm, yammi yammmi, my favorite salad ever 😊
you really have to best content and style!
Love your Ceasars salad. It's already a meal in itself! I'll try it next time.
Bon Appétit!
I’ve discovered your channel today, I just watched a couple of videos and I’m ready to try these amazing recipes. Thank you! New subscriber here ⬆️.
Chef! Looks amazing! Peace ❤
In the original Caesar salad, they use garlic, rubbed in a wooden bowl. Also, there is no anchovies in the original.
Your salad looks amazing
It would be awesome if you did a cooking class that we can buy tickets to get out spots and get a up close lesson on the art of cooking
Thank you
Thanks for watching!
My mouth was watering before you even started eating!!!
I made this it was soooo good!
So glad you remind us to hit like at the start of your videos, makes me remember to do it! 👍

Andy Cooks (and rules.) Gonna make this for dinner tonight!
Nice 👌

Dressing was bomb af
Amazing. Can’t wait to make a big bowl of this and watch a movie with the Mrs 😍
Awesome so yummy
Thank you :)
Andy, can you make a video that includes how to peel soft boiled eggs. I can never get it right!
I smashed that like button and I'm already subscribed, but it looks like you are doing just fine. love your channel and damn almost 3.5M. Tip of the hat
Yammy, thank you
Terrific salad ... love those eggs! Could you please do Lamb Moussaka!?
Excellent as always! Can you please make Potato Soup for Marty?
