I love how enthusiastic you are in every video. I can tell you love what you do and that's s very important to have a successful channel, which you definitely do. I love your channel so much
I do like the bigger board but I think it might be better for the Daikaiju if you only use 1 maybe 2 for the max for any number of players as that will make it less luck based and the players have more room to play.
Already know how to play, and just picked up the game yesterday. Still gonna give you a Like. You're that good, and I wanted to show my support. :) Looking forward to a potential play-through.
FANTASTIC GAME AND EXCELLENT INTRO: Thanks Rodney ( no typo this time) it took me 2 hours to read the rules but 20 minutes of your video is all it took!! Take care and i wish you and family great health!
Just had this delivered today, thanks for the run through saves a lot of time spent interpreting the instruction. Looking forward to the first game. Great channel and great content, my go to on game instructions and over views.
@@WatchItPlayed your welcome, thanks for showing how its played! I believe this video is pretty much a Let's play playthrough😁😎🤓Just like when you played Tsuro with your kids😁
I avoid recommending games. It's really going to depend on your preferences and the people you game with. I suppose, since you can play regular Tsuro with Tsuro of the Seas, maybe that gives you the most options?
***** Thank you for your reply. I understand that you try to avoid recommending games, makes sense. After I read more comments and the fact that the Tsuro of the Seas can be played both ways, that also makes more sense! Plus, I really like the blue game board :-) Thanks again!
I know you said you can’t put yourself in these situations, but is it permissible to strategically place tiles to drive other players off the board or into a daikaiju?
How much bigger is this from the original Tsuro (if only has the absolute outer edge extra, could you just remove that amount of tile?)? And are the slight rule differences (eg. being able to sail past another ship in the opposite direction) explained? Great vid as always though!
AlanTheLabcoat They don't specifically write out the Tsuro rules seperate from the Seas rules, but the rules are the same, once you ignore all the extra tiles and such (as far as I recall).
My sister made an infinite loop on regular tsuro once. First we all accused her of cheating and re-tracked her trail many times, then we just figured she won.
Hey Bill, I don't think she cheated, but it was likely an accidental placement. A loop in regular tsuro would be impossible, as all paths in regular Tsuro start on the edge of the board, and that can never change. Think of it this way - wherever you are in regular tsuro, you should always be able to make a path back to the edge where you started from - and that would be impossible in an infinite loop. If an infinite loop happens in that game, it's likely just that someone moved their piece to a different track when placing their tile.
Wait so do you roll once for all daikaiju movement or separately for each daikaiju? Also, when daikaiju drop below 3 do you add new daikaiju all the way back up to the set up number (5 for a 5 player game or whatever)?
Hey Nick, happy to help with any questions not answered in the video, but isn't that first question answered here: ruclips.net/video/3RmC6M-wIxA/видео.html And yep, you replace back to the set number based on the number of players.
We played this wrong also, guess my English wasn't good enough) the rules say: To determine how EACH daikaiju moves, roll a single die... I read it like: roll a single die for each daikaiju... Roll 1 die for all daikaiju would have been more clear in the rulebook :) So thanks for your video mr. Smith
@@Spellenreporter I don't think it's that your English is bad, I'm a native speaker and I would have interpreted it the same way with it having said EACH like that. Roll 1 die to determine how ALL of them move would have been a lot more clear.
+Watch It Played in original Tsuro there is a dragon tile, which is used when there is no tiles left in the draw pile. To indicate which player that will be provided the first tile if any new tiles are added to the draw deck. However i wonder if this feature is not included in Tsuro of the seas.
+Andreas Dahlqvist Ah, of course. Sorry! I blanked on that for a moment. In Tsuro of these Seas you don't need the dragon because you cannot run out of tiles. Tsuro of the Seas has more tiles.
Oh yeah, you end up on a little semicircular loop, then a Daikaiju pushes the tile you came from out of the way, enabling you to place the other half of the loop. Meddling Daikaijus.

Thanks for the kind words Sam. Glad you're enjoying!
thanks for this how-to video. I have been looking for one for Tsuro of the Seas that is concise and complete! you're the best!

Thanks for the support Keegan!
I just found a copy of this game at a Goodwill and wasnt sure how to play, thank you for posting this!
You're very welcome - hope it helps!
This guy has fantastic rhythm of speech to give a lesson.
Thank you for the kind words!
You're back! You've been missed. I hope you had a great vacation with the family!
Very well explained. The best video out there that actually explains the new elements of the game in full detail. THANKS!
You're very welcome Richard, glad you liked the video!

Tsuro is such an elegant game of strategy. One I'm terrible at, but definitely respect!
Extremely helpful for a game night and flummoxed rule-readers. Thank you!!
You're very welcome!

I hope you have a great time playing Tim!
Finally I understand the Daikaiju. I tried playing this with my family yesterday and we ended up just playing classic Tsuro without the Daikaiju.
Very glad this was helpful - it can be a tricky part of the game to make sense of at first.
best explanation online ever. thank you. now I understand this game!
So glad to know it was helpful!
Great video! Thanks. The monster dynamic makes Tsuro of the Sea much more interesting than the regular game. I wanna buy this now.
Glad you enjoyed checking this out!
Great tutorial. As usual. 7 years ago!
Where did the time go?! Glad you enjoyed :)
In other words this is the set to get! Basically getting Tsuro and Tsuro advanced...
It does give you some extra options.
I REALLY WANT THIS TSURO GAME! IT LOOKS soooooo fun😎🤩😍
Thanks for checking it out!

So, just to be clear: players are not eliminated by colliding? Only by going "out of bounds" or meeting a monster (in one way or the other).
Or ending up in the same location as another ship, going in the same direction: ruclips.net/video/3RmC6M-wIxA/видео.htmlfeature=shared&t=317
I bought this game based on your review! Will you have a video for Sushi Go Party in the future?
Glad you enjoyed the video. For info on future possible games, see 5:44 of this video: ruclips.net/video/EdtDuvIUa6A/видео.html
Very nicely done video.
Thank you Lisbeth!
And now I'm planning to the veterans of the seas expansion
I've been looking into both of the Tsuro games but now cannot make up my mind as to which one to get. Which one would you recommend, or like better?

Yes.
Great, your review made me change my mind about getting Tsuro........
I got Tsuro of the Seas instead. :)
Glad you found this helpful!
Can you play it with out the Daikaiju and play it as the classic Tsuro?
It's been awhile since I shot this, but I believe so!
Thanks to say to me how many road tiles you have? and how many daikaiju tiles because i don't have the same tiles that it's written on the box
I wish I could help with that, but I don’t have my copy of the game anymore.

Do you mean are those rules explained in this video, or in the rulebook for the game? Yes to both.
Tsuro of the Seas is a 7x7 grid (versus a 6x6 grid)
I meant "are the original Tsuro rules included in tsuro of the seas to allow you to play it as authentically as possible?". And ty :)
AlanTheLabcoat They don't specifically write out the Tsuro rules seperate from the Seas rules, but the rules are the same, once you ignore all the extra tiles and such (as far as I recall).

What happened with the dragon from the original Tsuro? Why is there no such tile?
+Andreas Dahlqvist Hey Andreas, I'm not sure exactly what you're referring to.
+Watch It Played in original Tsuro there is a dragon tile, which is used when there is no tiles left in the draw pile. To indicate which player that will be provided the first tile if any new tiles are added to the draw deck. However i wonder if this feature is not included in Tsuro of the seas.

Pretty sure you can't end up going in an infinite loop.
With this version you can - it's mentioned in the rule book, so I mentioned it here too. Don't ask me how you do it - but they say it can happen :)
Oh yeah, you end up on a little semicircular loop, then a Daikaiju pushes the tile you came from out of the way, enabling you to place the other half of the loop. Meddling Daikaijus.
Henry Ordish If you do end up in a loop you lose.
