Does anyone remember devins and craightons conversation about the 800mm? :D Devin: So right now we are shooting on te Bazooka lens, which is the 800mm Craighton: And I remember when he bought this lens, I don't know what it's called, but I called it the Bazooka lens. It was a few years ago and this is the second time I have seen him use it Devin: Worth every penny :D
Hey. That's a pretty cool way to film without needing something big like a car. Maybe you can tape the throttle to the board so you have both hands. Or just use a solowheel, but that looks like it needs more training.
Awesome! Keep it up, Why dont you edit anymore? Every video on this channel and on your main i check and its always one of the teamsupertramp members that edit now, never you? Also have you moved into the new offices yet?
Hé @devinsupertramp my problem with the Glidecam is when I'm filming with much wind that I can not control the glidecam good😅 How can you shoot well with a Glidecam with al lot of wind? For example, out of the car
+Roel advEnture Cam Well, I'm not the Glidecam master, but maybe I can help. There are three ways that we do it depending on how much time we have. The first way is to change the balance of it so that it drops faster (ie, so there is more weight on the bottom, thus keeping it more upright). the second, and the best way, is to add more weight to both the top and bottom, making it extremely heavy, but keeping that glorious 3 second drop time. This just plain makes it harder for the wind to move. The last way, which we do the most, is to simply hold the center pole a bit tighter and lower. This makes it a bit less smooth, but lets you control it a bit better. It's also a matter of practice, just like everything else. The more you do it, the better you'll be able to anticipate the movements of the Glidecam in the wind. Hope this helps some.
