    I've had two of their PCs in the past - you are right on every count. 1) The best of the best, and 2) you pay for it. I did decide to build my current PC due to their cost, but my previous one is still in use - by my wife - some 10 years later.

    Hey @Robeytech - glad to see this review. I was lucky enough to work for Kelt at Falcon NW back in the early-ish days (late 90's, early 2000's). I took a great amount of pride in being able to build and craft these things to the very highest standard. Some of my most favorite time in my entire career has been doing the work at FNW. Good times! Glad to see the sprit is still kicking ass!

    With how the market is going, their prices seem more and more reasonable. They essentially force you to buy high end (you should know this if you're considering to buy from them) and if you're contemplating pulling the trigger without building one yourself, the premium starts to make sense. For example, sure Xidax, Maingear, etc. can build a similar build for cheaper, but I would much rather pay for the tank of a case and the added engineering for an extra $500-$1000. When I buy, I buy for the next 5 years minimum. These guys are the safest option out there by far, but that peace of mind comes with a price tag and fairly so. Great review.

    I tried to copy their cable management for my personal build with cable extensions, I got close but couldn't get it as perfect as them. I have never had problems with them until my current one...and they fixed it free of charge I think I just had to cover shipping. Luckily the issue I faced hit me at the 2 year 11 month mark and it was still covered by their 3 year warranty. When I got it back from them it was like brand new again the cleaned every speck of dust off the inside and outside of the machine. This machine is now toward the end of its life as I do not make any upgrades. I am currently pricing a new one as its age is finally catching up and the games do not look as good at they should or the videos I see on youtube. In the past 2 times I tried to save some money and switch to a different builder I tried Ibuypower and Alienware both machines I returned after having issues right out of the box.

    The whole build is impressive… …only problem is that somebody who wants that bottom rear intake fan for that GPU but also wants to add more cards to the desktop will have to get a little creative; trying to keep just one of these features impedes the other one. Fan included in stock, it’s suitable for gaming, but not streaming unless the feed is doubled or you use a Thunderbolt enclosure…

    • @robeytech
      @robeytech  Год назад

      Yeah but external capture cards seem to be the more stable way to go, I am sure you are right there are folks who are for sure going to need expansions, just not sure how mainstream that is.

    • @djtechno95
      @djtechno95 Год назад

      @@robeytech I've just looked up how to turn PCI-E slots into an 80mm fan and according to a US-only Newegg link, Sliger had this technology in the pocket, albeit for server rack configurations (look up Sliger IOCV 180A PCI slot case cooler). So Falcon might've been inspired to adapt this slot-to-fan method towards rear air intake for the GPU, but I think there might be a way to adapt this for current and future horizontal GPU configs in larger cases for not only additional air intake for the GPU, but also taking advantage of the empty vertical GPU slot for expansion from one or two of the remaining non-GPU slots on the motherboard.
      Of course the GPU air intake addition will require sticking the Sliger fan gadget on the bottom horizontal slot covers under the GPU, but if somebody wants to add more capture cards to the system (without using Thunderbolt), they'll need to get one 90-degree PCI-E riser cable for each non-GPU slot and align the cards so they'll slot into each half of the vertical slot. Only problem for motherboards with PCI-E 5.0 GPU slot and only one PCI-E 4.0 x4 slot is that I don't know if there are or will ever be special riser cables that will split the slot from PCI-E 4.0 x4 to dual PCI-E 3.0 x4 slots. And I highly doubt that the Talon case will even be large enough to fit even one slot.
      Maybe this needs further investigation?
