If he was selfish, his assists would go down by say 2 or 3 and he’d average and extra idk 6 points. Imagine that Tmac averaging 38 in an era where defense was the running point. If you watch his games, the commentators never called him selfish he was always praised for being the opposite that’s why I don’t get why people call him that 😂

@@brandonthomas4838 I disagree. U have an arguement for Kobe but Lebron no. Lebron is a great all around player. But when u target one specific area like scoring or man to man defense he's not up their with them. If u say he is then Giannis is a better scorer than Lebron cause Lebron scored most his baskets in the paint same as him but Giannis does it better . His game has changed now with more midrange shots but he still not as good as them. Unfortunately Mac's career was cut short. But if u actually watched him back then he made it look easy. He actually dunked on shot blockers. Proved that No defender can guard him and defended the teams best offensive player. Lebron is great. Kobe is great. Mac belongs in the convo. If he hadn't got injured that year the Rockets took the Lakers to 7 without a doubt I'm sure they wud have advanced and won the chip. Mac never had a team as good as Kobe's teams except for that year maybe. And Lebron had better teams than both of them. Either way as a two way player Tmac was out playing everyone. He was unfortunate in almost every way. Bad health bad teams bad management.

That game 7 against the Jazz (07'), in the Toyota Center. Will forever be etched into my memory. The brotha put up 27 pts, 15 ast, 5 rbs, and 3 stls. And they still lost to the Jazz. The brotha literally broke down after the game when the reporter asked, "Tracy, is there anything more you think you could've done tonight?" Tracy ever the class act, didn't take the opportunity to throw his teammates under the bus.. brokedown in tears.

Unfortunately, and it seems rather cliche as it was basically the theme of the video, but it’s impossible to rank T-Mac historically with any sort of accuracy. Lots of players had great stretches through a few years. Hell, Isiah Thomas was an MVP candidate less than 5 years ago. We just don’t know if that prime form would have maintained, fell off, or, and this is a theory which is just as plausible but rarely discussed, it’s possible he could have ascended to unknown heights. Think about it. Yao Ming was a beast but he didn’t demand the ball. Same with Artest. A healthy McGrady may have realistically gotten 30-35 shots a night on that team. He could have averaged 40 if the stars aligned. Given the makeup and coaching strategy of that team, the sky would have been the limit. He could have hit a wall just as easy. Who knows, personal problems or demons arising as the result of superstardom could have sent him wayward. My point is, the possibilities are so wide-ranging, any attempt to rank him with those who enjoyed full careers is simply an exercise in futility. Rather than grasping at shooting stars and wrapping your mind around the twist in vain saying, “what if,” I suggest simply appreciating him for exactly what he was- which was an amazing player and an equally impressive human being. Hats off to Tracey, thanks for the memories my friend, you were a cold piece on hardwood.

Walter Weir nah bro that’s like saying harden blew it when he left okc...not true at all if he jus wanted to be content and get rings then yeah but if he knew he was that nigga and he wanted to challenge himself and maximize his full potential and show that he was a real franchise max contract player and carve out a legacy then he had to leave.. yeah he might have gotten a ring or two (but idk cause the lakers were jus soooo dominate at that time it was like when the bulls were winning Jordan wasn’t having that shit neither was shaq and Kobe) but we wouldn’t have gotten all those plays that made t-mac a hall of famer... i.e 13 points in 30 seconds the 62 points to win the scoring title... the off the back board in a game (not the all-star game neither) dunk the 33 game winning streak with the rockets... so yeah... plus all those epic battles with Kobe.... I’d say he made the right choice to leave cause as long as Vince carter was there he would have never gotten from under his shadow....cause the media wouldn’t have let him.... you already know look how they did Kobe with the he wouldn’t have won without shaq bullshit when he was jus as important and in some series even more important... so yeah the only bad choice he made was tryin to come back to fast from a serious injury cause the fucking media was talking shit about him and it got to him and he did the same shit kd jus did and got the same result as he did and he was never the same after that...smh...which is some bullshit.... that’s one of the reasons players don’t like the media cause of the narratives they create with no consideration for the players long term livelihood...it’s like they forget they human and they jus say you getting paid all this money and your not showing up...your a bust or this and that...they try did it to d-rose and now they tryin to do it to khawi but he ain’t going for it....so I’d think that he made the right choice... don’t know what your talking about bro
