Ha! I like your video more than Reno King's ones because you're so honest! I had the same issues w Lemonfridge, so I guess their IDs really have poor timeline planning and the carpenters are really questionable in using common sense sometimes. ID was hardly in the house to check on works and it was usually us who will find out things done wrongly, and we had to pay for their mistakes zzz. Our reno took 6 months too.
But I have to say that their designs are really nice and I do love my home now but I wouldn't recommend Lemonfridge to anyone.

Like I mentioned many times, there's no perfect renovation, we are very aware of that. One man's treasure is another man's thrash. I understand there are people unhappy with lemonfridge, but my personal experience with them has been great. It's just like everybody thinks Chicken Rice at Maxwell is the best, but i avoid it like a plague. It's just expectations and preference :) - and we ARE honest, we just don't want to be too negative about it.

@@overkillsingaporehi! Just want to explain that I find sneaky sushi's review more honest because he presented both the good and the not so good parts about lemonfridge. I don't find his review negative. Like he also said, the design is really beautiful. This is very similar to my experience w lemonfridge too. Space planning and design etc the IDs we are given are really good. But that's about it. Like you also say, no reno is perfect and I really feel if you were to present it like sneaky sushi did, your viewers may find you more credible. Sometimes when you oversell a sponsor's offerings, it can be a bad thing too as us paying consumers will have a higher chance of being let down as you have raised their bar so high.
Anyway, this is just a small feedback from a nobody. I understand your limitations as someone who has to stay on the sponsors' good side but I also hope companies who hire content creators can be more open-minded to both good and not so good feedback when content creators like sushi give well-balanced reviews. It is an opportunity to think about better solutions to serve their customers better. 🙏 And I really hope the sponsors don't see it as detrimental to their name. Even if the content creator doesn't say it, word of mouth from actual paying customers will still eventually make its rounds. And when word of mouth is so different from words from a content creator, eventually both the company and the content creator's credibility will be questioned.
@mamemo359 I am facing the same issues now with 🍋. Very poor timeline planning that keeps postponing (original due date was end Mar, now it’s looking more like mid-Jun). Carpentry works a LOT of mistakes & poor workmanship. ID is also very very unresponsive & doesn’t visit the unit. We are also the one who will find things done wrong, take pic & send her, and she will just forward the pic to the contractors. We also kena asked to pay for their mistakes.
I will never ever ever ever recommend them to anyone.

I used lemonfridge for my reno this year. Their contractors are really terrible especially carpentry. Coupled with ID taking a more hands-off approach, the kind of defects we had to deal with was super disappointing.

Sponsorships are commonplace these days. You'll never know for certain if they've managed to seek permission to give way for these types of renovations to commence.
Just like TV ads, radio ads, expo etc, social media is just an alternative way to advertise. Often in a longer, more detailed form :) It's almost impossible to avoid social media marketing nowadays because to put it bluntly, it's cheaper, more effective, and covers both production and platform airtime

It will be, but getting a sponsor is not as easy as you think. We actually have to work and provide deliverables for it.

I really enjoyed the video; it was really insightful!❤ I've watched many of Ryan’s house tour videos and often find myself questioning whether the total renovation costs presented are achievable without sponsorships. Is it possible for you to provide an estimated total cost for a renovation like this one, assuming everything is paid? Realistically, it seems like it would be more than $150K, including items provided by sponsors. I'm just trying to gauge and set some realistic expectations for my own renovation next year. Thank you 🙏
Hello! For the renovations, what we quoted is retail price! So it's accurate, it's just that the talents are often sponsored to a certain degree so they may not actually had paid that price, but the price we mentioned are always retail :)

ok anyway serious comment now - yeah, makes sense that it was a pain in the ass. actually I realise that the industry is just generally really bad across the board, and an ID doesn't really solve renovation woes (unless you really pay the top end kind that caters to the 1% type - only then do they really jaga everything and you can totally hands off), so even though u get sponsorships, ur paying for it elsewhere (hassle of coordination, etc.). anw, it looks great lah. and good that you take care of ur mom and bro. whataman

I always wondered who in the world of this current economy would spend more than 20K on their renovation. Rack on more debt as prices increase? What are these influencers advocating... 🤷🏻♂️ Is it really for your gain or their self gain?
I can answer this question for you :) Different people have different spending habits. Personally, I don't buy pop marts, I don't buy clothes, I don't buy Starbucks, but I will not spare a cent on renovation because I spend a lot of time at home, and I strongly believe having a nice house to return to enables you to rest efficiently and have something to look forward to. I believe there's a lot out there. These videos serves as a guide so you know what exactly you should be spending on , or what you should be saving on, nobody is forcing you to buy!
I personally do not advocate taking a loan for renovation, renovate within your means :)
