Beautiful tank, beautiful lighting, beautiful fish... it's all so beautiful.... and then you put that tacky fake rock and coral garbage in the tank....
If I had a tank custom made by them and had enough money to do it big I would make a specific request to make it a freshwater tank and to plant it all out, a carpeted bottom would look amazing at a large scale.
Pro lific yes they have a 5 part series on their channel that covers them getting this tank plus picking up an additional tank donated from the Bellagio casino.
coral adds a whole extra level of difficulty, higher maintenance time and cost. The lighting is more expensive, lastly it limits the species of fish you can keep(most Angels and Butterfly fish will eat away). the corals would cost more and wouldn't work well with rushing stuff and the overstocking they do. As someone with a coral reef tank i agree nothing looks better than real coral but for now I can't have my favorite Butterfly fish (the double saddle) in the tank with out loosing money on coral.

It's really annoying to see the amount of people whining about plastic decor. Like I don't think they have any idea how much JUST THE TANK was alone- LIVE coral is insanely expensive for just a small handful. If you can afford enough to fill that tank after the cost of the tank then good for you, if not- stop whining. Not to mention the cost to make all the filtrations for such a large tank and heating if needed. Yea plastic sucks and I prefer live plants but it's also insanely expensive and very hard to maintain perfect conditions for coral.
Wade and Brett i hope you can do some freshwater aquarium fish...so we can enjoy looking at it... just like your other awesome projects... a avid fan here...
Simulating the sea with plastic corals is probably more realistic than it was planned. Still no criticism of the work, it looks great, you are doing a great job. Just as inspiration, I think with your knowledge and skills you could also build beautiful and exclusive fish tanks, with only use natural materials. You are doing as well as you will be able to reach a large clientele with natural fish tanks and be able to scale your business well.
Jackfruit Leaves are nicely-shaped, high quality leaves that bring a very nice "tropical" aesthetic to the aquarium, as well as that tint we love so much around here! They will last a pretty long time- not quite as long as Magnolia, but longer than Catappa and Guava, in our experience. They are pretty good-sized, too! When we tested them, after one month submerged, we found them to be almost as "solid" as the day they were placed in the tank! They will recruit biofilms on their surfaces, which ornamental shrimp love to feed on- as well as consuming the leaves themselves as they soften. They look great either on their own, or as a component of a mixed leaf litter bed in your aquarium! Our Jackfruit Leaves provide many benefits for tropical fish aquariums. When submerged in water, the leaves will release tannins and tinge your aquarium water in beautiful golden-brown color. They are perfect for recreating black water habitats. Additionally, like many other botanicals, they will lower the pH and release other beneficial organic compounds such as humic acids and flavonoids. These substances are understood to have antimicrobial properties and may also absorb and detoxify other harmful compounds or heavy metals sometimes present in tap water such zinc, copper, and aluminum. For these reasons, all fish will benefit from the presence of the Jackfruit Leaves in their habitat. Can serve any quantity of Jack tree leaves for customize orders as well. Lmao most people after they hit their head once hard, they learn their lesson. But for Chris I think he lost too many braincells to remember to watch his head
Is there a way to design a pressurized fish tank that can house deep sea fish? And the reason i say pressurized tank is because the tank would have to simulate the pressures of the deep constantly so the deep sea species could live in it, and when it was time for the tank to be cleaned there would need to be a pressurized mini aquarium underneath to house the species while cleaning the tank if someone made that it would be really cool to house deep sea fish in peoples living rooms
I tried four different nitrifying bacteria brands to cycle my tank and they were all crap! SeaChem Stability, Tetra SafeStart Plus, Petsmart and Petco brands and nothing after 5-6 weeks. I then tried ATMs Colony and my tank was cycled in three days.
Stability, Safestart, DrTims, etc. They all work but they lose a lot of bacteria in shipping and being kept in poor environments in lfs’s. It’s best to order yours direct from the company for the most potent results.
