    Good video. Thanks.
I don't understand cage designs like that. You can stick your whole head through there and into the prop area.

The cage is designed very carefully, it's mostly good training that keeps body parts away from the propeller. That said, in the future probably there will be fully enclosed cages. Right now full cages are considered too heavy and cumbersome. Smooth Skies

great video :) i would argue having someone help you pullstart it is as dangerous as actually ground starting it though,
if it started and went full throttle that guy would get it in the face/neck/ shoulder as the pilot has no chance of holding it back,
best that everyone keeps away really,
enjoy the videos though they are really well made, cheers

mark675 there is a technique you can use to prevent the student/pilot from going to full power. You can ask them to place their fingers underneath the throttle. Plus the person pull starting the engine should place their hand on the pilot’s shoulder not the cage. These simple techniques considerably reduce any risk to the assistant.

We have a guy (Captain Kirk) in the US that basically says you’re a pussy if you don’t start it on the ground. I agree with you 100% to start it on your back.

It's called anti-tamper, or torque seal. Get it in various colors too.

I've never had a two stroke engine before. When you mix the fuel - do you mix it directly with the fuel in the fuel tank? Or is there another place you put it?
How do you know it's properly mixed in?
Do you give it a shake so it distributes throughout the fuel and not sink to the bottom...or is that not a problem with 2t oil?

Mix the oil in a separate fuel can having measured out the correct amount and then give the can a good shake.

I don’t understand why they don’t have an attachment to the fuel cap, like a lot of lawnmowers and cars.

Guy at work lost a finger. Think the unit fall over and his instinct was to grab the unit.

The amount of people you still see ground starting all the time is bonkers... They always have the same answer: "As long as you do the correct checks first there is no issue".
Pretty sure the pilots with missing fingers and limbs said the same.
