Hi William -good to hear you were among some nice fish up in the harbour - i was down at the Heads surfcasting Monday night in Windy conditions and got a nice snapper - first for a few days i must say and fishing quite patchy down there - been up here at the camp since mid August and fishing most days and are finding conditions so different to last year - do you think this years El Nino weather mean that the fish are slow to come up harbour - water temp down.?

Hey mate, yip as the current was running otherwise the bait will be on the surface. They snappers have there head in the sand eating crabs and what not so if you can have the bait hard on the boat it’s ideal

At a guess I would say Oysters. They farm on fixed wooden frames whereas Mussels are suspended from floats. Could be wrong tho, according to wife I've never been right .
