Regardless of the fact that this just sounds like Never Meant, I think it's impressive that you did something in CGDGBe tuning that didn't sound really heavy (Since the only times I've seen this tuning used is by Soundgarden and a Foo Fighters song).

This tuning is so close to CGDAE pure fifths. In fact, it's almost literally that, but the A is split up into two strings that are a 4th interval from the other strings near to them. I don't play guitar, but I'm assuming that _probably_ is what makes it "work" it's just that I can't refrain from thinking in linear symmetry.
