I always come away with a few great laughs and either a dope patch or some really helpful tips. By far the best Helix channel on RUclips (and I’ve seen a good deal of them). @@JonnyLeeguitarist Makes me want to upgrade to a big boy helix. The stomp is great for testing how well you can build patches under its limitations but sometimes you just want to go crazy with making a massive patch lol
@@Terribleguitarist89 yeah I still use my stomp now and then , I mainly use it for Bass patches now . Helix is worth the upgrade tho . Let me know if you do it 😎

@@JonnyLeeguitarist Yes, I have tried a couple of your patches as well... THIS idea is probably a game changer I will try in some of my patches... I have some recently that I stack up 2 or 3 pedals to try to get the pre distortion I want but I had not thought about putting a preamp in front of the amp... it sounds GREAT!
@@4tomhenry I’ve had a very good career yes . Mainly tours with tributes and theatre shows , also make music for small films and some TV . Most of it I don’t post because that’s “ the job “ , RUclips is more fun and about sharing . I’ve played guitar for a few “ bigger “ names over the years 😉

Yeah pretty much , the thing with helix is ,there are no rules , the beauty of being able to move stuff around to get the tone in your head is what makes it the best .
This sounds bloody lovely Jonny as i did this the other day and I struggle with do we need distortion pedals when can be done with the amp n cab itself ? When to use pedal is the question is it just for pacific distortion tone?
@@JonnyLeeguitarist I put a train wreck and a litigator preamp in front of a fender twin nrm and it sounds really really good. I love the fenders as pedal platforms so I'm gonna do more experimenting with them.
It can be done, but you’ll need to use the POD Go edit software to export the preset, and change the JSON code in the file. Search for “POD Go jailbreak” or “POD Go extra blocks” and you find the how to videos. The extra-block thing takes a little tinkering but it’s really helpful for things like getting rid of the fixed Wah block
