Just had a convo about this on FB & had to post both versions for a clear comparison between Tamia & Ashanti...
Here's the breakdown...
1) Tamia did the original- "So Into You"
2) Fabolous sampled the song and had Ashanti singing the chorus and titled the song "Into You"
3) Irv Gotti owned the label Ashanti was signed to & didn't want her to do the video for the song. Fab got pissed and decided to get Tamia (since she sang the original). They rerecorded the song and titled it "Into You Remix" and put Tamia in the video.
The version with Ashanti was released on the radio first. When the video was released & became popular, radio switched over to the version with Tamia...also people naturally assumed it was just the remix of Tamia's "So Into You." Not realizing it was actually a remix of Fab's "Into You."
Tamia, Ashanti, Irv Gotti & Fab have all discussed this in interviews
There you have the facts! 😘
Wow thanks!
Muchas gracias por la información, amigo.
GET TO THE POINT!
@@jahill8086 get better comprehension SKILLS troll
I've been looking for this explanation for so long. Thank you.
These are ASHANTI vocals used in Tamia video, after Irv Gotti said no to it being released as a FABULOUS AND ASHANTI COLLABORATION,
TO INCLUDE THE VIDEO PERFORMANCE WITH ASHANTI.
Definitely Ashanti.
Ashanti Legacy's continue 💯😍🔥👌👌🧡
Brazil 🇧🇷
I'm still listening in 2020.
Ashanti, what a wonderful voice.
Pop Smoke, I miss you
💔
He sampled
Ashanti beautiful amazing
FABOLOUS AWWWWW COOL 😎 👌 👍 ♥ 😌 😄 😎 Rock on 🤘 ♥ 🎶 👌 😎 👍 🤘 ♥ 🎶 👌 😎 👍 🤘
She sounds so much on this song.🔥🙌👍
Ashanti always loving you trust...
Thanks you the best
UMA ÓTIMA MÚSICA !
That’s dope
My favorite music
Muito legal esse vídeo demais
2 versions and this is definitely Ashanti on this one.... her vocals are not as strong as Tamia’s. But she still sounds good 👌
This is Ashanti.
This is Tamia
You’re right definitely Ashanti. They have 2 versions.
I thought this was tamia!!!!
This is Tamias song she did it first in 1998 this is a remake from 2003 on fabolous album they did the video with tamia using her version since ashanti wasnt able to make it
wow realiseer me net dat ronnie flex hier z'n sample vandaan heeft
Yeah this is most definitely the Ashanti version, Tamia’s voice is shakier and higher. However I saw Ashanti on Sunday and she sang this song and she sounded phenomenal ☺️
Glad Tamia replaced Ashanti in this cover of Tamia's original version.
This one sounds a little flat to me
You sound dumb
I like both,just 2 different singing styles.
Sounds like my phone
I actually like Ashanti better on this.
Prefer Tamia. She sings during the whole song.
It's purely sad that some fools on her can't distinguish the difference between Ashanti and Tamia. I was disappointed af to learn of the Ashanti version. Because Tamia's soul was crying out to Grant Hill on the original. Some remakes simply don't make sense. Tamia's owns the Contralto and Falsetto A technique. Ashanti sounds like a decent kareoke.🙄 version
This is Tamia on the vocals!!!
This Ashanti on the vocals on the rerelease and fabolous album but the original from 1998 is Tamia very distinctive voices Ashanti doesnt have that extra punch Tamia has
Nope, this is Ashanti on this cover. After Ashanti couldn't stay on, they just sampled Tamia's voice from the original song that she had done. Radio currently only plays Tamia's cover.
Tamia sound much better
NOT ASHANTI..TAMIA
This is Ashanti he has two versions due to their schedules
This is the original version that featured Ashanti. The Tamia version is a remix that she recorded over because Ashanti was blazing hot at the time and couldn't do the video.
@@donniealexander993 nah Gotti pulled her off BUT this is 100% Ashanti vocals fabulous never used Tamias period only on her album but Ashanti could not do the video cause Gotti said no and at the time what He said went as being her " manager" Ashanti missed out on a lot of other opportunities due to THIS
@@stayingsweet101reviews6 Now that's the REAL scoop! I appreciate schooling me on that. I agree, Ashanti missed out due to Irv Gotti handcuffing her. Definitely hindered her career but at the same time we don't know what was in the contract. Contracts have all this "fine print" that artist don't understand. Basically things were hidden in plain sight. Gotta have a lawyer sift through the contract before signing.
That cannot be Ashanti she does not sound like that that's Tamia
tamia is the remix
@@knephsabir3245 girl it's Tamia
@@fabiejd look up the album tracklist or if you have it
@@knephsabir3245 I do its Tamia sis
Its Ashanti... She did a interview about this she had already laid down the vocals for fabulous Gotti was not too happy about that and when it came time to do the video Gottie said Asanti couldn't be in the video that was when Tamia came into the picture.... Cause they had to have a video Tamia later confirm a lot of this when she discredits fablous saying she had throat surgery and Tamia said I NEVER had anything done to my throat 8 albums later Tamia stands firm on that so she does ALL but say she was only a stand in for the video THAT is the truth AND the song that made it to # 4 on billboards back then was and IS Ashanti vocals PERIOD
Unless this is a remix which i completely doubt that is not Ashanti on this track at all. So into you was song on Tamia's album that came out a while before the chipped tooth bastard tried to ruin the song with his ignorant and untalented lyric. It was tamia singing on this track.
Cameron This is the album version which features Ashanti. The single/video version features Tamia
This Asshole drunk fabolous did justice on this track .
Yep it's Ashanti open your ears, they both sound totally different, Tamia has a strong voice lol
@@Tim_Shu but he's right the video version featured Tamia
His version is iconic
