This dude so right...... my " managers" like the ones, that are two steps above everyone else, like district management. So those ones, they get the job without ever doing or knowing what the jobs under them entail, how long they take to do it. I was literally told I was the "best cart attendant they had ever had", and I was a heroin addict, I.V. , the entirety of my tenure there. 2½ years there. During this time I was told I needed to come in, on the same day my 2 year old puppy had a mental break. Im talking he was a puppy mill pup and we didn't know. He started running from room to room, forgetting where he was as he entered. He didn't remember my whole fam. Vet said there was nothing we could do he was just suffering.... they still wanted me there. Eventually, I didn't give two shots bout this job and it showed. They sent me packing one day when they stopped requisitions drinks for the Cart Attendants. I would just snag one then. I'll admit I knew what I was doing was wrong. I won't justify my behavior either. Probably why I just got sent packing. Best thing that ever happened to me. I got clean later that year and 1 ½ years later I was working as a CNC machinist. Im almost at 6 years sober from that day (2/14/17--》2/14/24).

I used to have a hardass manager in a minimum wage job in taking inventory for stores that hired third party. Needless to say that they learned very quickly on a day that took my shift way longer than it should have. We stayed over for seven hours longer than planned due to a vengeful manager being told in advance that they were letting them go. My dad who gave me a ride to work had not heard from for almost fourteen hours and left a series of voice-mails that got progressively angrier as I was not allowed to make a quick trip out of a deadzone (the store we had todo inventory for) and relay to him what happened. Needless to say, I got called in the next shift and heard all of the voice mails. I simply stated that the individual was my dad, and I could have avoided the whole mess, but I was not allowed to notify him ahead of time. I wasn't fired, and hardass manager never got their spine back after hearing an ex-force recon marine yell soul crushing words of where is my kid and that he better hear something or else the police will be involved.
revenge is a bitch, glad that manager got what they deserved
