Not at all. If you're staying in a small town or village, then 5g will take another 2-3 years to come there (properly). Moreover, 4g will not be discontinued, because apart from jio, every other network providers are using non-standalone 5g(i.e they will use their 4g network as base network to implement 5g). So, buying a 4G phone in India in 2022 completely makes sense.
