Is the hit detection better now that our connection speeds are much faster than they were back when these games came out? I remember lag being a big problem back then
I want to say yes, I think it's more consistent but I do have these periods of time where I can't hit anything but that's probably more of a testament to me lol
what is your look speed and acceleration at? i wanna perform better
I'm definitely not the person to imitate but I do have good games sometimes lol but my look speed is about 85%, acceleration is maxed, and deadzone is about 5%. Sensitivity will definitely vary by person though.

It actually kind of never went away in a weird way, basically Sony pulled the plug on their servers around 2013 or so and shortly after there were people who made LAN servers and stuff, but today we have an actual online server that resembles the online server of the past so you can log on today (with the DNS numbers) and it'll be exactly as you remember it! (Except we no longer do US EAST, US WEST, etc it's General, Clan Battles, Etc)
You can play on a PS2 but you need a free mcboot memory card (Ebay for about $15), or on Next Gen Xbox, or controller on PC which is how I play, check out this video for more details: ruclips.net/video/x9zU1hjmFY0/видео.html
BTW, being a tryhard is not a bad thing...a try hard is someone who tries hard...all the time...having skill doesn't mean your a try hard. Playing casually is what we all do lol
I totally agree, I don't recall the conversation in the video but maybe I wasn't clear. There's a difference between a person who is giving it their best, or someone who wants to stomp the lobbies.
I have 0 issues with a person who's trying their best, but when a person is just trying to pub stomp then that can be annoying as a person who's trying to play casually.
On the same note, some people are just heads and shoulders above everyone so they may not be trying very hard but they naturally destroy everyone and a person who's being destroyed by them may feel like they're being a try hard, I'd say it's subjective.

You can play on a PS3 but you need to ask someone in the Discord how, I'm not sure how.

Yeah I've heard of SiF, I used to watch some people stream it but I haven't in a while maybe it died down, if you have a gaming PC you can play SOCOM 1, 2, 3, Combined Assault, and Confrontation on Emulator now.
I think that community kind of relied on nights where they organized to get on in their Discord otherwise you couldn't find anyone on.

Oh lmao that makes more sense, you mean the 10 seconds you had from the start of the round to jump from the SEAL mountain. We had that on SOCOM 2 on this server, and I did it all the time, then one day I was explaining to a person how to do it and I died. I was like uhhh I guess they removed that.

I mean let’s be honest ps2 players are at a major disadvantage playing at 12 frames per second. Doesn’t matter if you get the drop on someone. You aim at the head and unload 2 clips and they turn around and one shot you cause they’re on pc lol. It’s all good though I’m just happy to play.
I completely agree, a similar skill PS2 player is at a disadvantage against a similar skill emulator player, but a better PS2 player will beat a average emulator player imo, I get owned by PS2 players all the time lol
But yes I agree, emulator has its advantages.

I recommend anyone who plays on ps2 to definitely try to play on a smaller screen crt tv rather than an hdmi converter or the 3 plugs into the hdmi tv. It looks and plays like pure ass
I agree, playing on a HD TV on a PS2 looks awful, CRTV is the purest way to play unless you play on PC on emulator. Doing all of the HDMI converter and everything just looks bad.
yea those are both bad, but component cables into a retrotink 5x.. that's the best i've ever seen ps2 look on a hdtv@@RazorDak92
