why make the distinction between love and giving? giving is not only Money! He Gave life,healing,freedom ect.... is the church GIVING these things?tithing is old covenant. a pastor is not a levite. tithing was for israel. the jews don't take tithing because there is no store house anymore,the temple was destroyed. why does the church practice it? what did jesus say about obedience? he said LOVE, LOVE meets a need. tithing is public. giving is in secret Matthew 6.....
Thank you for your comment :) You're right - giving is not just money! We can give time, energy, and all kinds of resources - including money. However, financial giving is a biblical concept in the NT as well as the old, and God cares what we do with the money He's entrusted us with. It's wrong to focus totally on money, and it's wrong to totally ignore it.
@@FaithFamilyOH I agree giving is in both covenants and its biblical.NT says to give however your heart purposes and to do it in secret.No church leader today should use malachi 3:10 that scripture is rebuking the priests for stealing yet its used to teach the church to give tithing. tithing is old covenant law for Israel.Jesus did away with the law. Giving is a Fruit of the Spirit and we all should give. the church of acts didn't have a building like yours and didn't blow the trumpet on how much they gave,in fact you should divide your church earnings,donations and wealth evenly with all your members, as for individuales,if you see a need meet the need.THAT'S the true Ecclesia established by The LORD JESUS. blessings
