Btw, I met Mario the other day at the Festa di Santa Rosalia, and he really is 100% - he speaks the Palermo dialect of the Sicilian language fluently 🇮🇹

@nowhere289 Yes. I was born in Palermo and came to the U.S. when I was 18. I was at the Festa di Santa Rosalia in Brooklyn back in August, and I saw Mario there and said hi. Turns out he speaks the Palermo dialect of the Sicilian language fluently.
If I'm honest, I think they like to mess with Mario because of his Sicilian descent. I noticed it during this episode when he said "scupa" (broom in Sicilian, and in reference to the card game of the same name) and they started insulting him because they are unaware that it is scupa in Sicilian instead of scopa. Just an observation
