The guns with the model number beginning with 4AM are the ones where the accuracy issues have been fixed. I have had no issues with mines. Shoots just as accurate at 20ft as it does at 5ft.
i loved the gun so much i jumped and bout one as well, a mid ange 4am serial number, and i used the iron sights at my indoor range and so far i havent seen these flyers people talked about. i think the gun issue has been fixed. ill get my optic set up in a few months and they when i zero my optic ill really sit down with some of those bags to set the gun on to zero at 25 yards.
After owning the newer version for about 6 months now I have put roughly 7-800rds through mine shooting both suppressed and not. Little to no zero shift when suppressed and zero flyers. I’m a decent shot but can keep a 2inch group at 50 yds consistently. I own many “higher end” pdw type firearms but the SMG is hands down the smoothest and softest shooting
I have advice about the mags not feeding. Brand new ones need to be broken in. I overloaded mine to 27rounds and let them sit for a month and I've never had any feed issues again. I have a Gen-1 and have never had any accuracy issues but everyone is saying the Gen-2(Serial Number starting with 4AM) have fixed the issue with stray flyers and grouping.
They still seem to have serious accuracy issues due to tilting barrel design. Wish they’d go to fixed barrel piston driven. 4-5” at 20yds is unacceptable, esp for duty/defensive use and for $2500-3000
The first few generations of the SMG45 had the accuracy issues that were unquestionable. “Supposedly, LWRC has since fixed them. If you have a serial # that starts with 4AMxxxx, that is apparently the serials for the corrected guns. When in doubt, call LWRC to have them verify the manufacture date and serial.
Accuracy/flyers have been a problem with this gun since it’s release. I was hoping after 3 years they’d have worked the kinks out. For the price, this is unacceptable.
I have a fresh production of this gun (made in August of 2022) and it has zero issues. Over 600 rnds and not one malfunction or flyer. Was shooting out to 100 yards with it sighted at 25 yards.
There are some serious accuracy issues. Those groups from a rest are horrible. LWRCI has some winners in terms of products and some duds. This is to me a reputation destroying offering as you got what appears to be a 40MOA PCC selling for that price is insane. They've continued to produce this thing, and no reviewer can get it to shoot straight. How do they ship these out the door? Its a real question of QC when you think about it. If they'd ship a built gun in this condition can you trust anything they make anymore? And its not like they haven't sold the same dysfunctional offering for 3 years now. It is not the action, as we have many weapons that have been made with the action. Its a serious QC issue. Its a sexy looking PCC but what a dangerous implement with that accuracy. Every bullet has a lawyer attached to it guys, and you can't trust this one.
Why are you doing a newer current review on the Gen 1 model that we know has problems? That is complete redundancy and makes no sense at all. The newer second gen models have been out for quite a while now, I have one. Why don't you get a Gen 2 and do a real review instead of doing the same review that we have seen over 3 years ago, bizarre.
Well if you buy a used gun with previous issues there is probably a reason why he sold it in the first place.. I purchased mine last year after they supposedly fixed the issues. I purchased it in Hope's I'd get lucky, I did! Mine works flawlessly with no issues in functionality or accuracy.. I did outfit mine with a gemtech lunar45 suppressor and an Aimpoint compm5s... I LOVE IT!!!
There is no issues with the new ones. I have every pcc smg on the market and this is hands down one of my top 3 it’s amazing and just a bad ass gun without a doubt. I’ll never get rid of mine.
Yes I own the second gen yes with the 4am model number, they have fixed the problems , it’s actually a great gun

There is no question about this gun being a great firearm.

What is the first 3 of your prefix? SMGxxxx ?
The new generation has no issues that the olds ones did. They are amazing!

@@torranceparsons5216 I personally own 2 of the new 4AM models and have shot about 500 rounds each. I've had zero accuracy issues

Agreed! Awesome gun but the accuracy issues are exactly that “unacceptable”

For 3k there shouldn't be many issues with it.
Very true.

You must got the first set because the new 1 are better
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll try and get my hands on a newer model.

I've been considering this for years...but I keep hearing nothing bad reviews about it. Glad I just picked up a cmmg banshee in 45 acp instead....
Smg 45 is not even comparable to the banshee lol ! I have both and the banshee is like a Glock compared to a staccato.
Thank you for the video. I can take this off of my must-have list I don’t want it anymore
