So basically, golf is scored by how far you are from 0. Two strokes less than par is an Eagle, one stroke less than par is a Birdie. If the par is 3, for example, and you complete the hole with 3 strokes, you're on par. A Bogey is when you complete the hole with one more stroke than par, and a Double Bogey is when you complete the hole in 2 or more strokes above par.
