As sacrilegious as it sounds, this makes me picture a demon posing as a preacher and reveling in people's confessions. I love it.
Let me give you a different perspective, in atheist circles satan is often seen as humanitarian while god is seen as authoritarian, though we see them as fictional characters.
So things like "give me your prayers up on your feet" hits like its okay to ask for help, but tou are still a man, stand tall your are not subjugated.

I'm a sucker for 3/4 time signatures but this song goes above and beyond by transitioning into a 2/4 time signature at the 3 minute 22 second mark. Glorious. I've never heard a song change tempo like that before.
Check out "Next to You" by Dirty Loops, it goes from 85 bpm 4/4 swing to 170 bpm 12/8 near the end.
This is the type of song you can't get tired of. All the different parts and the different voice pitches, just pulls you in. Heard about this song from a friend of mine a few months back and haven't stopped listening to it. I love this song so much more than anyone I know loves the song. Just when he goes "give me your fear" and the guitar does the thing... I cry. And the end? Oh, don't even get me started. Overall the best song I've ever heard, makes me want to scream every time. This band deserves so much more love.

According to Spotify I've listened to this album for 2,925 minutes since May 2021, which is the equivalent of two entire days of Burn the Ballroom, and I finished my very first fiction story on the wings of these guitars and lyrics. This song has gripped me in a way that I've never experienced before. It totally shifted my center of gravity.

Whisper came up in a Spotify mix a few weeks ago and goodness me, I'm in love with this song! It's got such a unique feel to it that mixes wonderfully well and is sitting nicely in my brain - not a "this song is stuck in my head _aaa_ " way, but an "oh, I remember this song, it's really good! This really is one of the best rock songs I've ever heard. It screams "My Chemical Romance" with hints of Avenged Sevenfold guitar and just a smidge of Meatloaf storytelling. When I saw this was 9 years old I thought "damn, I bet they aren't active anymore" and was super happy to see y'all were. I don't know if this song was supposed to be super inspiring or terrifying but it does make me feel like everything is gonna be okay. My wife and I were in a gift shop and she showed me a stone that was supposed to bring good luck. I had an earphone in my left ear playing this song and just thought "I don't need that" and moved on.
