After all these mainstage sets, it's awesome to see Armin playing something more underground, trancy... ASOT radio show is a different story, but after all those big festival performances, it's nice to rediscover Armin's music sense and ability to build up the atmosphere from deeper, low bpm warm up stuff with the progress all the way to the techtrance note. I wish to see this more often from him :(

For me this is how trance music should be played. The Dj selects a great collection of tracks,links them together invisibly and lets the music do the talking. If the tunes are good there is no need to try and be clever as the music will take you on the journey that the dj chooses to send you on. Armin is certainly one of the best in the world at playing great music in a none egotistical manner. You can see and hear that for him it is about the enjoyment for the listener. You make many people smile and feel good Armin,you should be proud. xx

He can't because he must adapt to the crowd and in mainstages people want to hear mostly edm. After when he plays in ASOT is other thing. The only mainstage that prefer Trance all night it seems to be 'Untold'. Armin only adapts to the crowd.

En trance, psy, deep house, progressive house, techno, hard y hasta en edm es un excelente dj. En todos absolutamente todos estos géneros te lleva a otro mundo, te hace olvidar problemas y disfrutar la música electrónica, que es lo que debemos de hacer, disfrutar y gozar de toda la música electrónica.
Finally. Back in the days, dj's weren't mc'ing at all. That was way better. I kinda lost sight of all the trance dj's from early 2000 but this set brings back memories. I don't like all the uplifting trance from nowadays but this set is amazing..
There was a radical shift in the demographic, and he had to tweak the sound of trance to reach this greater audience, but I thinks it's starting to get better again. I really hope so, because I was beginning to get tired listening to sets from the early and mid 2000's, lol.
This is such an incredible set... I keep coming back to listen the 6 hours in a row... maybe Armin's best set ever... it starts with a soft slow warmup and at some point that you can't really tell when, you find yourself jumping or headbanging totally lifted... I wish I was there that very day...
Super proud, that Armin played my Remix of Greece 2000 there. Unfortunately I was not there, but this whole set is just golden. I will definitely come back to this video the next 60 years

I do really enjoy when armin gets to spread his wings n really fly n show us all he's got able to take us on a journey from the progressive to peak time and just love the way he builds up his sets he's such a master mixer and u can tell hes doing it live cuz the beat matching isn't auto correct.

Yep but that was because he was playing in a club, proper place to play Deep, Tech House and Techno to warm up. In a Festival, Mainstages or ASOT Stages is impossible play that music obviously haha. However his Untold 7h set has an amazing techno part (actually some songs of this set) that was a really great sorprise for me.
Solo si la música es buena se aguanta jaja. Y no es porque sea Armin que se quedan, porque te aseguro que si la música fuese mala no lo soportarían igual. Si te fijas empezó las primeras dos horas suave y luego es que se pone más enérgico el ambiente con música más activa. Como era un Club o Disco, se podía dar el lujo de hacer esa mezcla de música suave al principio. Si vas y ves el set de 7h en Untold (te lo recomiendo) ves que como era escenario principal de un evento no podía colocar música suave y fue una locura lo que aguantó esa gente hasta el final con casi todos los géneros posibles del edm jajaja. Al final como te digo, la gente se queda porque la música es buena principalmente. Eso es lo que tiene Armin y los buenos djs de verdad, saben que mezclar y de acuerdo al escenario y público presente.

Al puro estilo de Pleasurekraft, pero fino... Es Armin y si algo lo caracteriza desde sus inicios es su delicado toque en sus sets, el puede tocar lo que quiera, porque al igual que Paul Van Dyk son los amos.
El verano pasado por fin cumplí mi Sueño estuve a un metro de armin Viéndolo lanzar sus mágicos temas en hit un gozada lo sigo desde sus comienzos y verlo tan cerca inolvidable es sin duda el número 1 en el trance espero ir el verano del 2019 y vivir de nuevo esa magia k crea en sus set
The second half is great, but more of the usual a bit to me. Some of Armin's best sets are like the first half of this one. Love Armin and ALL his music... but love him even more when he respects his roots in plays genuine Trance (I know it doesn't sell...not much here in the US anyway, but just saying). :-)
Steven Paul i think he has to play some of his famous tracks and needs to fit them in, so he plays some of those normal tracks. But in general it had a very trancy vibe to it.

You can see his expression in the set that it was when we started transitioning into the more uplifting sounds that he really started to feel it as well! not to say he didnt enjoy the other styles he played but its all about the journey i guess.

There was a radical shift in the demographic, and he had to tweak the sound of trance to reach this greater audience, but I thinks it's starting to get better again. I really hope so, because I was beginning to get tired listening to sets from the early and mid 2000's, lol.

This is such an incredible set... I keep coming back to listen the 6 hours in a row... maybe Armin's best set ever... it starts with a soft slow warmup and at some point that you can't really tell when, you find yourself jumping or headbanging totally lifted... I wish I was there that very day...

I do really enjoy when armin gets to spread his wings n really fly n show us all he's got able to take us on a journey from the progressive to peak time and just love the way he builds up his sets he's such a master mixer and u can tell hes doing it live cuz the beat matching isn't auto correct.

Wow. I've been a long term fan of your sets Armin, but this one is just another level. Great tracks (not just the usual hits you hear everytime), fabulous buildup during the set, many different styles. Magic!
Yep but that was because he was playing in a club, proper place to play Deep, Tech House and Techno to warm up. In a Festival, Mainstages or ASOT Stages is impossible play that music obviously haha. However his Untold 7h set has an amazing techno part (actually some songs of this set) that was a really great sorprise for me.

Solo si la música es buena se aguanta jaja. Y no es porque sea Armin que se quedan, porque te aseguro que si la música fuese mala no lo soportarían igual. Si te fijas empezó las primeras dos horas suave y luego es que se pone más enérgico el ambiente con música más activa. Como era un Club o Disco, se podía dar el lujo de hacer esa mezcla de música suave al principio. Si vas y ves el set de 7h en Untold (te lo recomiendo) ves que como era escenario principal de un evento no podía colocar música suave y fue una locura lo que aguantó esa gente hasta el final con casi todos los géneros posibles del edm jajaja. Al final como te digo, la gente se queda porque la música es buena principalmente. Eso es lo que tiene Armin y los buenos djs de verdad, saben que mezclar y de acuerdo al escenario y público presente.

The second half is great, but more of the usual a bit to me. Some of Armin's best sets are like the first half of this one. Love Armin and ALL his music... but love him even more when he respects his roots in plays genuine Trance (I know it doesn't sell...not much here in the US anyway, but just saying). :-)
Steven Paul i think he has to play some of his famous tracks and needs to fit them in, so he plays some of those normal tracks.
But in general it had a very trancy vibe to it.
The 1st half he went all over the place... Trance and much, much more... The 1st half was inf%^&ingcredilbe...
He never said his a trance dj. We the fans presume that he is a trance dj but he is not, if you check his documentary he talks about that.
@@DrBiBeatz we assume because thats what he is known for. You can see his expression in the set that it was when we started transitioning into the more uplifting sounds that he really started to feel it as well! not to say he didnt enjoy the other styles he played but its all about the journey i guess.
