      @@peakdavidHi, Is there a difference in academic writing when it comes to undergraduate and graduate school?

    • @peakdavid
      @peakdavid  9 месяцев назад

      Good question. In general, on the master's level, yes. More research, more original insight, better writing. That said, a lot depends on the course and professor. On the master's level, undergrads and graduates can be in the same class, with more expected of the master's level students. On the doctoral level, depending on the degree, you will do more independent research and study that should be of publishable quality.

      @@peakdavid Thanks for the response. What is the difference between a research paper and an essay. Also, should I include the definition of my topic in my introduction?

      The difference would depend on the assignment instructions. Normally, the "essay" is most often associated with a thesis supported without referring to outside sources. The second uses outside sources in support of the thesis and is sometimes called the "researched essay."

    Sir could you plz make a video on “How to write an academic book chapter”
    I am first year PhD student & I am getting opportunities to write book chapters but I am a little bit confused about the layout scheme, format and what to add what to not….etc.

      There are two answers: (1) Ask the person giving you the opportunity to provide guidelines and examples from previous authors. (2) Study the chapters in previous books published in this discipline.
