  • The Palace of Parliament is the biggest project of the romanian dictator Nicolae Ceaușescu. Started in 1963 it included the Palace, the park next to it (ment to be the Versailles garden of Bucharest) and the big boulevard in front of the building (longer then the original Champs-Élysées in Paris with 50m and 1m waider). The palace was totally finnished in 1996.
1st place in the world: the most expensive administrative building and the heaviest one
2nd place in the world: the largest administrative building after Pentagon
3rd place in the world: the biggest building after a building that resambles rockets in Nevada and the pyramid Quetzlcoatl in Mexico.
The fountain show in front of the Parliament, at Unirii square is amazing. All summer in weekends after 21,30. Don.t you miss that! ;) Cheers!
