I expect Anbernic to start releasing updated versions of their current models without slowing down, essentially to have a yearly cycle with minor improvements.
It would be awesome to see some major players enter the android gaming handheld space. Specifically with controls fully integrated rather than just tablets. With the rise of the x86 devices I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they smell the money to be made from retro gamers, streamers, etc. on an android device. Hopefully as well we would then get more native android ports of major games etc. I love Android as a platform but it could do with a lot more ports of indies and maybe even older triple a games.
I predict 2025 the performance will not be much higher as the ban of the IC technology to China is getting the way. Qualcomm is not a company that will sell their chip cheap. Currently the cheap sub-100 IC is mainly from China. This year dont see any new China IC appear / announce with much performance gain.

Finally Gamecube for under 100 dollars is what I hope for.
Buy a cheap ipad and sideload dolphin ios. My ipad is very old and runs all gc and wii games at 2-4x resolution. Apple has very powerful chipsets
