So, look. I’m an almost 40 year old dude. This is not my strength. But I can’t pretend that having a snazzy reading journal like this wouldn’t be awesome. I’m jealous at your time management, tracking discipline and creativity 😂
The first reading journal I saw was @SlimeAndSlashers back in late-July which I am SO thankful for, because if I had first seen one of those flowery, scrapbooky versions I might not have even *wanted* to start a reading journal since that's typically not my aesthetic at all. And if I *had* wanted to start one up I DEFINITELY would have been too intimidated by their elaborate elegance to try it for myself. I've since started my own reading journal but haven't been able to find very many that are remotely close to my aesthetic, so HUGE thanks to Kelsi for including you and your journal in the list of awesome and unique reading journals to check out. I will definitely be utilizing a similar Upcoming Releases tracker in my future setups. So cool.
You’re Journal is 👏🏼 so 👏🏼 fun 👏🏼. I appreciate that you committed to your theme, gave us some color, and more importantly, kept it simple to your style. Like you, I would compare myself to the journals who were more artistic. I can’t paint, but I’m still very crafty. We need to see more journals like this. I think is a great journal for a beginner to follow. I think it’s helpful to hear your commentary on what you use a lot and what you will tweak for next year. I appreciate that you also change things up every month until you find what works for you. Non fiction I would recommend: The Crossroads of Should and Must, Crying in H Mart, Educated (or any memoir narrated by the author), and Atomic Habits.
Thank you so much!! I have read Atomic Habits and loved it! I"ll definitely have to check out your other recommendations because I'm failing at my non fiction goals.🤣🤣
I just shared this video on discord and realized I NEVER COMMENTED back when I watched this when you first released it! I'm so sorry! I LOVE YOUR JOURNAL! I am actually going to try out some things you did in the first 6 months of your journal. Love how you tried out different ways of doing the monthly spreads and reviews! LOVE! You have one of my all-time fav reading journals EVER!
Stickers are my friends when it comes to my reading journal. I've been doing it for years and I still haven't figured out how to document my books. 😂 I'm at 203 right now and it's just difficult balancing function with aesthetics. I've already started working on my 2025 journal so that doesn't help either.
I have a You Serious, Clark sweatshirt! 😉 my reading journal is far from the heavily designed, artsy aesthetic journal I've seen many journalers do. Those are awesome but you're right, the main thing is doing it, and making it you're own! Love the 80s stuff on yours. 😊
I started a reading journal last November and mine is not so creative and amazing like yours. I got it at B&N. So, the set up is already there the Title of the book, author name, how many pages, etc. but my handwriting sucks! 😅 I try to write neatly but then my hand hurts. Can’t wait to see another book journal video 😊

🤣 I’m actually surprised by my consistency,
I’ve never kept a reading journal this long into the year.
I like your style and that you’re trying a bunch of different styles of spread! Each one brings you closer to finding your ideal layout 💖
Thank you! Hopefully, I'll find one I can stick with. It would definitely make it easier.🤣
I think changing the format each month is actually a great idea, keeps it fresh and fun. 😊
I think so too! I'm having fun with it. ☺️
Your journal looks great! I love all the colors.
Thank you!🥰

Yay!!! So glad you started a journal!!! That’s awesome!!
thanks for sharing your journal! I feel like I have a similar style of doing whatever I want at the time in my journal. Lets call it mood journaling!
Mood journaling, yes to match my mood reading!🤣
looks fun :D
Thank you!
I love seeing reading journals. I think about doing one myself, but I can barely keep up with my goodreads.
I definitely have some catching up to do for July.😬🤣

Wonderful seeing your process through the months. Would appreciate the link to the creator that inspired the layout @15:30. Thanks.
Thank you!! Sorry about that,
I forgot to add the link. I just updated the description. It’s @jenniemcgarvey☺️

Thank you!😊 I’ve tried the pre set up journal with prompts and I quickly rebelled against the prompts. 🤣
