Great video and info, thank you! However, I still haaaaaaate the new stamina system. I don't get why he had to fix something that wasn't broken. I'm all good with making eating different foodstuffs more important, but he didn't need to rebuild the stamina system to do it. It feels like the balancing is all off, and frankly, it's frustrating. For instance, it shouldn't take so much stamina to use a watering can, and the mines are an even bigger nightmare now. (I'm super glad for the peaceful wish.) Call me stuck in my ways, but I prefer being able to glance at my stamina bar and know exactly how much I have left without having to calculate. The little timers and symbols for your buffs in the upper right corner is awesome, but yeah, not a fan of the stamina system.
Thanks heaps for watching and your detailed comment Kamikaze Kumquat. Are there other particular issues you have with it? You mentioned the watering can (which admittedly I didn’t try as I have my sprinkler system). Does that use too much stamina to water? Is it the iron can or the og watering can? And what is it about the mines? The fighting? Or using tools? Interested to know more.
I like the new system much better, however the in game day were already too short to do daily tasks even with the watch. Now with all the wait in between health and stamina regen just you standing there waiting really not match well. Also this mean you need extra time to prepare for any project as your inventory size stay the same and you can't just hogging this and that foods.
Thanks for chiming in with your thoughts. Understand what you mean about the time lost. Admittedly I have a silver pocket watch which doesn’t affect me so much since I get 2x day length. However I can relate when I play on my new player island (which I’ve been streaming lately).
I haven't had too many problems since the new stamina system came into play. I just down coffee or wattle brew and I'm good to go. I had no idea the Snags increase your bars forever! I've been saving mine for a special occasion because we only get one a year.
hi there Zoe!.. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Mind blown with the snag right!? I was doing the same.. just saving it for the 'right' time. Both of the consumables you mention are great to keep us going!
I personally really like the health and stamina rework, it adds an importance to having a variety of food rather than just downing a lot of one easy to make food. its important to find a good combination of food buffs depending what youre doing. the way health regenerates is also cool to me. adds an extra challenge when fighting enemies especially late game when the op weapons are in hand.
Thanks heaps for your comment Oscar. I think it's been well executed too, like you say making you think about what to grow, craft and eat. Once you figure out what works for you, you're golden!
Interesting point of view Debbos!.. Personally never used one IRL, but on my bucket list :) . My comparable tool IRL is a leaf blower, vs a broom. Thanks so much for watching and your comment!
Congrats on having 1300 hours dom bass! I’m only half way to you and admittedly I’m new to the game. When you say no use for the stamina is of no use to you. Do you mean specifically the stamina or the health?
So I’ve never played this game. My main survival crafting game is Valheim. I love when games make use of consumables and multiple system like Valheim does. I hate useless consumables. Does this system add mechanics and consumable progression? Kind of like Valheim?
Hi there K. I haven’t played Valheim at all but a lot of the consumables give you buffs in game to help and aid progression and quality of life with game play.
Hi there Jok3rface. I used dev commands for this for the purpose of the video since I was restarting many days over. Hopefully you’ve found the bumpy ground areas which spawn ores. Have you unlocked the underground mines yet?
Hello there. I used dev commands to create a test bed for an experiment. I used the “placeItem ID” where the ID was the ones for each of the different ore types.
@@AlexiGiovani oh ok. thank you. I am excited to use your tips. I have watched a lot of your videos. I just restarted because i did a HORRIBLE job on a horrible map so I started over. I got lucky and rolled a map that actually uses the docks as a bridge. That will be fun to work around. I wasnt far enough in my other game to be mad about losing it. Making money is so hard and I want to grow seeds but can never afford them. I plan to follow some of your video tips
@gloriasdaughter940 hopefully you’ve seen my video on making dinks? If not I’ll link it for you. Thanks heaps for watching the videos. Hope they help you!

Ok. All I know is that in real life jack hammers beat up your body. So…. Maybe it’s all fair.

I have 1300 hrs in this game, lol. It was fine before the update. I have no use for the new stamina system.

You’re most welcome
Crispy! Look at that golden rose! 🤩
Yeah getting ore takes like a ton of stamina. It’s ridiculous.
I’m always eating food so I don’t really feel it, but researching/preparing for this video really demonstrated a couple of things.
@@AlexiGiovani Yeah, I need to gather a ton of food myself.
Very Helpful! Ty
Thanks for watching Marie! Glad you thought so! 🙏
how you get all miningstones together? ineed more mining stones.

There’s also the quarry from Franklin which generates 4 ores/items over a few days.
how are you lining up the ores like that? I am a new player

The New Stamina system is great! Way better than the old one.
Thanks for chiming in Adun. Appreciate you watching and leaving your thoughts.
NO
i think yes for newer players
Oh hey BlackEyeGames. I know you’ve started your island and streams a little bit ago. Are you new to Dinkum? How many hours do you have in?
@@AlexiGiovani i got at this time 79 hours played when the game first came out and would say this new system harder for people just starting
