I can’t thank you enough for the Bobby pin hack. I’m attempting to Knit with actual knitting needles for the first time. I’m try to make a stocking and when I got the top part complete, it said to fold over so the pearl side is showing and then knit thru the back of the needle… welllllll that yarn is thick wool and I couldn’t get it. I was frustrated enough to want to quit and then it was like I heard your voice saying “get my trusty Bobby pins” 😊 I used it going 1 stitch at a time pulling the yarn thru with the Bobby pin. 60 stitches later and I’m done with that section and back to working “smoothly”. So thank you thank you thank you for practical hacks that can be used in multiple ways.
This new project of yours is gorgeous and I can’t wait to try it!

Hah here you are posting this and here I am having made one the other day! Will be watching your video through though for some tips. Still working on the grafting stitch to close mine up. Really like this pattern set. Makes a lovely look- looks harder than it is!

I am trying this for the third time! Each time I have dropped a stich!!! It is in the fair isle that I am dropping the stitch. I'm tempted to do the fair isle first and then the solid 3 color row of 50 but I'm not sure how that would work. I've written out the fair isle part of the pattern row by row, but it is not easy.

So sorry that you are having trouble. Click on the top right corner of your screen and a gear will pop up. Click on it and choose the option to slow the video down. Watching it this way may help you get the technique.

@@koalaknitsandknacksaddicrochet I'm sorry, Shelley, I meant this for the beanie, not the scarf.............6 times and I FINALLY got it made.......HOWEVER, I messed up right when I was starting the fair isle, but I caught it in time to fix the dropped stitch. Then at the end after casting off there was a mess up but I 'covered it up'. I put it on and loved my 'skull' cap. I thought next time I will make it at least 10 rows longer, and thought 'I will write others to make it longer also'. Lo and Behold, I folded out my 'cheat sheet pattern' I had written out for me, and there were instructions for the NEXT 10 row pattern!!!!!!! I will be keeping this one and hopefully do better on the next one. It is a challenge, but even as messed up as mine is, it's beautiful! Thank you so much for the tutorial.
