Mario Galaxy in (I think) 2015 too! My brother showed me some animateds and then I started the Mario Galaxy playthrough and I was hooked

Markiplier is actually the reason I became a Lovely. Back when the first Mario Maker came out, Mark started with Ross’s levels and was talking about Game Grumps so much I knew I had to check them out. Since then I almost exclusively watch the Grumps. They’ve taught me how to follow my dreams and be myself, even if I look like an idiot

It was about 6 years ago when I heard about DDLC and looked for playthroughs on RUclips. The first time Arin said "gEt BiGgEr HaNdS" I said "These guys are my kind of funny."

I forgot the exact year, but I became a fan when I saw their a link to the past playthrough, specifically the moment where Dan hit the chicken and caused the chickenpocalypse. That moment is still one of my favorites, and these moments made me love them even more. They never fail to make me laugh❤😂
The first Game Grumps video I ever watched was their best of 2015 which starts with the Mark Zuckerberg bit. I was on the floor howling with laughter. I went from seeing their videos in my recommendations all the time and never bothering to check it out to binging every best of compilation the same day.
I think it was some time in 2015. The first Game Grumps video I saw was episode one of Super Mario Sunshine. I was watching on the family computer and not even a minute in my mom hears Dan say, "Welcome to the happiest fucking game in the world," and she puts a hand on my shoulder and says, "You need to watch something else."
Months later, I was finally able to watch Game Grumps undisturbed with my own pair of headphones. There were a few close calls but I was never banned from watching them by my religious parents. There was a bit of religious guilt I felt in watching Game Grumps, but that was fixed by eventually, becoming non-religous.
The moment that solidified me as a fan was the Pac-Attack episode. I showed it to my brother and we both cracked up over it.
Game Grumps was one of the things that kept me going as a depressed middle schooler. Knowing that I would soon be home watching the new uploads after being bored out of my skull for seven hours was my light in the darkness.
And today, I still watch Game Grumps with some of my siblings and I even made some amazing friends in the community. It's probably more praise than deserved but, Arin and Dan's humor has gotten me through tough times and I hope that anyone going through their own rough spot finds the help they need.
Tldr, I love the Pac-Attack episode, the Grumps have helped to make my life better through their content and I even made some hopefully life long friends. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
Ah the fun of religious guilt from parents. I was already an adult and moved out in 2015, but if I had been a middleschooler at that time, watching Game Grumps would have probably gotten me in pretty big trouble. Or they'd just make me feel really really ashamed of listening to Arin talk about dicks a lot. My Dad once found my mp3 of a "gay" barbie song parody and he hated that and made me delete it.

I became a fan in 2020 & good lord did I need them so bad back them. Quarantine/COVID along with my high school getting a complete redesign was a super stressful time to me, it eventually so bad I almost considered dropping out, but their insane humor kept me sane throughout my remaining 3 years of high school. Yes even their newer content which many people consider to be the worst because it sounds like their working not having fun, which I beg to differ. Anyway all I wanted to say was that while apart of me does feel bad for being late to Game Grumps I’m also glad that I found them when I did cus they were the only thing motivating me to not give up on my life 😊
Awwww these clips bring me back. The Grumps have been in my life for so long that I still check RUclips three times everyday simply out of habit leftover from their original upload schedule

My cousins showed me a GG animated of Palpatine's "Do It" years before I started following them. Then they guest hosted Good Mythical Morning. It was super funny and I kept thinking I recognized their voices. When I checked out their channel, it hit me that they were the one and the same. I don't remember when exactly that was (slightly before covid I think) but I've been watching ever since! It took me a while to be able to tell apart their voices though haha

My sister showed me the animated clip of “I fired, and I missed” about 3 or 4 years ago and it was my first introduction to them. Since then, she’s shown me other clips and episodes and before I knew it, I’d watched days worth of compilations and series and now have seen more of them than the person that introduced Arin and Dan to me 😂
I have no idea when I was first a fan, but I remember me and my siblings watching the *fuck* out of their Wind Waker playthrough. That playthrough will always be so nostalgic for me. Plus, Wind Waker is my favorite Zelda game, so that makes me enjoy it even more.

My first Grumps video was PT actually. I was obsessed with watching as many playthroughs of it as I could, and finally cracked the Game Grumps seal with that video. I thought Danny was Jon for a little while though, cause I had vaguely heard of the Grumps during Jon era but never heard about the switch
Honesty endless ocean 2 was the first ever game grumps i watched and to this day its still my favorite playthrough

I remember back in November 2015 when I started watching their videos I was working overtime at 3 am and desperately trying to stay awake.
I binge watched almost all of their content and couldn’t contained my laughter. They helped me stay sane trough that awful time.

i’ve been watching the grumps since august 2021! a tiktok of them playing doki doki came up on my fyp and i thought it was so funny, so i watched the whole playthrough. then, i watched the power hour while watching their daily uploads. the first series i watched start to finish as they were uploading the episodes was super mario rpg. it holds a special place in my heart and i’m so excited for the remake 💖

My best friend used to show me and watch Game Grumps with me after choir. He's the best. I always thought it was funny, but I didn't become a true fan until about a couple years ago (during quarantine). Guess you don't know what you've got 'till it's gone

I found their old school pokemon emerald playthrough when I was like 11. I was looking for a normal walkthrough and found them. The humor was so juvenile and I became obsessed and watched them everyday after school. It’s a comfort show now!

I'm super late getting to this video, but I still want to share! a friend of mine showed me the sonic '06 freak-out in middle school, but the humour didn't hit for me. the same friend also showed me luigi's ballad, which I DID love, but I was too stubborn to watch the show itself. I actually started watching myself in late 2014, not long before the second starbomb album dropped. as a side note, I remeber watching the videos of them in the studio and I'm so sad they were privated :( but anyway, i had watched them occasionally starting with their 2014 monopoly playthrough (I can't remember why that's the first one that got me), but then sonic boom and leisure suit larry 6, along with the second starbomb album, sucked me in forever ❤ it's wierd, but that christmas break was a really terrible time for me... losing the aforementioned friend, an absolute jerk of a boyfriend, the general transition from middle school to high school... so I'm glad these guys came back into my life when they did.

I remember when I became a fan. The year was 2012. I was living on my own for the first time ever. My apartment didn't have internet and the landlord wouldn't let any get installed because he didn't want "people drilling wholes in my walls" so all my internet came from my cell phone. A cell phone that couldn't get internet reception in my apartment. So I would go out to a park near where I lived after I finished my closing shift at Macy's. I remembered loving Metal Gear Awesome from when I lived back home on Newgrounds so I decided to search RUclips to see if I could find it. Find it I did on Egoraptor's channel. There I saw a new video that was a trailer for a let's play channel he had just started with JonTron. Oh hey, look at this, they are playing one of my favorite games from my childhood. Kirby Super Star. The Yogscast may have kept me from un-aliving myself a year earlier but Game Grumps made me want to strive for more. I might not like some of their modern episodes but gosh darn it I love them.

I think it was September 2016 when I became a fan. My best friend at the time showed me the episode of battle kid that a bunch of animators collaborated on. They definitely changed my life. I would watch them constantly, and while I still loved them, I did stop watching them cause I was busy or wanted to watch other things. During the Backstreet Boys reunion tour my passion of them reignited and it felt like I was hanging out with my old friends. The grumps have always been there for me when I needed a smile, even if I hadn’t watched for a few months. They will forever be my favorite
i became a fan this year/end of last year actually!! super new lmao, i was watching one of my favourite twotch streamers & they talked about them a fee times(and even collaborated !! lets go!!) and when i saw a youtube short from the microwave power hour and finished the sonic bom playthrough i knew i was a changed person
I became a fan in late 2015 when they were playing Ross's mario maker levels. I had watched markiplier for years before that, and he was making references to it. Endless ocean 2 was my first full video. Hooked me instantly. Portal 2 was my first series.
I remember losing it at the daring game for girls and the teletubbies play through, I showed my then best friend and it became a tradition to watch the daily episodes during our lunch break at school until she left, but I kept watching them!

i think i became a fan around 2019-2020, i believe from their sonic heroes playthrough? maybe even mario galaxy 1, honestly i can't remember because it feels like i've been a fan forever. they really helped me through quarantine and gave me a bright spot in an otherwise shitty time in my life. they've been a great source of comfort through graduating high school and starting college (not to mention the help their vids provided while pulling all nighters). it's been a blast to watch their content and just have a good laugh each day :)

I became a fan back in 2012 before I had an account. My kid self had the tendency to search random game names onto Google when I was bored just to see what would come up. One day I decided to search "pokemon emerald" and part one of GG's LP, which only had a small handful of parts uploaded at the time, was one of the results. Despite my kid self not fully understanding a lot of the jokes, I had to keep pausing the video because I was laughing too hard.
Very briefly stopped watching after the Danny switchover until a random funny moments or whatever compilation someone showed me had convinced me that maybe he wasn't so bad after all. Modern GG just isn't the same. Still subbed but I haven't clicked on a video in a long time.
I became a lovely after listening to an audio clip on tumblr of the "what kind of overalls does mario wear". I instantly HAVE to search for the source and I've loved them ever since.

I became a fan after I somehow stumbled across the Arin/Jon Animal Crossing “Tom Crook” animated in late 2015. I was in the library in my first semester of college. The next whole video I specifically remember watching was definitely Suzy playing The Lion King. After that, I gradually watched more and more often alongside studying and homework. I became a fan back in high school. I think the first Game Grumps video I saw was the Animated of Craig Penderson, followed by watching the whole Mario Maker series.
I became a fan back in 2015ish after I got dumped by my high school sweetheart (I'd gone off to college and it didn't work out), which is kinda funny considering he was the one who said I should watch NSP and GG in the first place and that I'd like it XD I just never got around to it until after we split. GG got me through a lot of depression and became a go-to pastime. Can't remember what series I watched first... Maybe Galaxy or Wind Waker?
Came for the comedy, got ensnared by the realness and more introspective conversations. Not sure when I became a true Lovely but it may have been Steam Train's Undertale playthrough? Who knows :P I gotta catch up on their recent stuff, though! Haven't watched that much this past yearish for whatever reason but comps like this make me wanna go binge some!

My freshman year of college a new friend from my calc 2 class asked me if I’d heard about how horrible the new sonic boom game was. I hadn’t so he told me to watch the grumps play though of it which was my first exposure to let’s plays. They only had a few episode out at that point but I got hooked and stayed for that whole play through and many many more ever since ❤
I've been watching egoraptor since I was seven, so I've seen GG from the get go.

Lovely since 2012, that last one always kinda bugs me though because Arin was making a joke about how dumb the AI was while him and especially Dan were getting bankrupt and losing turns by saying "Is there a W?" and of course the puzzle did indeed have a W. I get weirdly hostile about WoF content.
