Maceration is also known as the process of oxidising your fragrance. This enables the alcohol in your new bottle of perfume to evaporate. Often, perfume houses will macerate alcohol based scents in their factories and this is a controlled procedure carried out by themselves. But once in a while, certain perfumes may require just a little bit more maceration. You can easily carry out the maceration process for your new fragrance at home if you find the scent too light or faint. Think of it as akin to aerating a bottle of fine wine by decanting it. This allows the wine to breathe and its aroma compounds are released after being stored in the bottle.

I just recently bought this perfume as a vanilla perfume lover and it smells soooo good. It’s my new favorite perfume. It smells like hot coco powder and marshmallows mixed with a little bit of vanilla extract. It’s not too strong imo which I find to be a good thing. The smell is very soft and subtle.

With these arabian perfumes you have to let them sit for them to smell better over time! The longer it sit, the better it smells! I bought this fragrance as well cuz everyone was hyping it up so i fell down the rabbit hole n bought it! Im so glad i did! it does smell like nesquick! I had actually said that in my shorts video. It reminds me of hot chocolate with marshmallows! Its a perfect layering scent! The other day i layered it with midnight amber glow from bbw. It was the bomb!!!
I am expecting mine to come in tomorrow. I'm so excited ! This is really out of the box for me to Blind Buy, but y'all are giving me the feels about this. New subbie!
Hey 🤗 glad to see you back! I just got up and sprayed it lol it’s been sitting on shelf for over a year, I got a blast of alcohol and then settles into a softttttt vanilla skin scent, I use it to layer or for bed 😊 first impressions are usually not that great 😂
I really like this scent, but it doesn’t really have staying power on it’s own. I use the oil and the perfume for scent layering so the scent sticks longer.
I had the EXACT same experience. I smelled almost absolutely nothing when I first tried it. It's been a few days and I haven't given it a 2nd try yet. I've seen several people say that it needs to macerate so I'm going to wait a bit longer and give it another go.

I was thinking about buying it, but was worried about the rose, since - call me weird - I don't like rose notes in perfumes at all (on myself).... But now that you've said it's basically non-existent I'm definitely gonna buy it. Indeed perfect for the winter time - gosh I'm so excited! "Whip out your phone and go buy it right now." - Yes Sir! Had the same experience regarding hating a scent when it first arrives. I bought this local Sauvage dupe and HATED IT. But I gave it a few days and it's now one of my dailies. Regarding choco Musk, I just placed an order for it. I have been looking for something to replace my Axe dark temptation now. I really think this would layer well with my 1 Million clone. It happenes to me also sometimes that I get anosmic to perfume for a day or so, I don't know what cause it but I don't smell anything in that day, even super strong perfumes🤷♀
I've had that happen too with fragrances, strong ones too. I can be guilty of over spraying sometimes. Sometimes you can become anosmic to fragrances if you overspray. Also, spraying higher up on the neck can increase the chances of becoming anosmic to a fragrance because it's closer to your nose.

The oil of choco musk is like a weapon!! It sticks to my skin all day even after a shower!! I wear this any day before picking my YSL Libre Intense!

on me it lasts about 4-6 hours! for all-day wear you would probably need 6+ sprays but it varies from person-to-person!!!!
