Manipur's Kuki Groups have brought their fight against the Chief Minister of the state to the national capital. They say leaked audio clips prove that the CM was responsible for the outbreak of the ethnic violence in May 2023 and was complicit "beyond an iota of doubt" -Kuki MLAs.
In the purported tapes, the 10 Kuki MLAs of the state say the Chief Minister can be clearly heard exhorting the Arambai Tenggol - an armed militia group and assuring them that he will be arrested, before any of them would be.
The state government has called the clips doctored
Kuki groups say they are shocked at "inaction of centre'- they have urged the centre to start a commission of inquiry and demanded the CM's resignation so that the probe can be fair

Lamjathang house was attacked not solely because he preach peace with the genocidal Meiteis. I am not defending the fact that Michael's house was attacked. But let me tell you the truth. His house was attacked not because he acted as a mediator between the two communities.
