I bought mine just over a month ago and have been having a real blast with it, both on and off road. It's a comfortable cruiser that can do highway speeds, suited to light touring and a bit of dirt/gravel fire-trail exploration, while offering enough secure underseat storage to pick up the groceries with about the same fuel economy as a Honda Grom. I've got a few videos of it in action on my channel too!
@@godspeed44 On the road - smoother, faster, more powerful, much more comfortable, a pleasure to ride at highway speeds. Off road - much better suspension, larger grippier tyres, but being slightly heavier it's hard to throw around quite as much as the Grom, and the seating position makes it hard to stand upright. So it's great for unsealed roads but it still wouldn't be a substitute for a dirt bike for real off roading.
Also, being a scooter with no clutch, you can't use engine-braking on big steep descents. You just have to roll while gently squeezing the brakes, which is a bit frustrating while coming down steep dirt roads with rocks and pot-holes.

At only 300 lbs, 31" seat height, this thing might allow for more off the beaten path adventure riding than a 600lb $20k bike. Bring a small gas can and double your range, and you're good to go.
I'm a technician that specialized in suspension and performance upgrades like I did on my 2019 Tracer 900, that is to much for around the village here in Thailand. So I just bought the 2023 ADV 160. It cost just under 3,000 USD here. I ordered a new aftermarket seat and windshield. $50 each delivered. Will use the seat pan to cut and customize simular to what Corbin Seats has to offer for $500.

Critical Error USA versions come with a rear drum brake. In other countries it has a disc. We get screwed in the USA. I wish we could get cool Africa Twin colors but all we can get is that black/gray/silver trim color.
Zac, I never understood what is the point of 150cc motorcycles when you already have 125cc everywhere, is it just for some markets where it makes sense to have small cc bike because of cost or what not or is it because there is a difference between how 125cc and 150cc engines/frame/chassis are made?

What? It was always Adventure. The concept bike Honda showed in 2015 that became the ADV was called City Adventure.
I think it was specifically made for the mix of paved and unpaved roads like the rural roads of southeast asian countries
Or the roads of southern Appalachia or several other remote areas in North America. I think you're correct. It could sell well if it can pull a steep hill. Bit pricey for a scooter, but Honda won't sell anything less than 4kUSD.
Nice offroad review!! Initial thought was this might be nice bike in southeast asia market, nah unless they made it much cheaper. Cool to see something different.
Someone posted in those markets you can buy it for half as much.
It's way cheaper in Asia. Honda selling it in the west with huge profit margins
This bike freaking sick I love mine so far it's more a bike than a scooter plus it looks awesome 😎
Would like to see you driving a ADV350 which is larger and thus more suitable for larger people.
I really just want the CT125 Hunter Cub
Great review, what is the featured riders height?
That's one thing these videos never talk about: Recommended heights to ride this.
that model is now head to head with Yamaha Aerox 155 here in the Philippines. but the cool thing with this is that it can go on trail..nice vid btw
best small scooter for all around condition, its more handsome if change the tires with new dual purpose maxxis tires. love it!!!
My friend just got this! Want to ride with her while I'm on my MT-03. What's the top speed?
Zack! Please do Gromkhana part 3!!! Thank you
Im fairly certain it comes with disc brakes rear.
Critical Error you are fairly wrong.
@@davidbabin4813 Hmm not sure why the one I rode last Sunday had one.
Critical Error USA versions come with a rear drum brake. In other countries it has a disc. We get screwed in the USA. I wish we could get cool Africa Twin colors but all we can get is that black/gray/silver trim color.
@@davidbabin4813 I see. Thanks for the clarification.
I can see myself doing some serious back packing trips with a ride like that
Ah, you got adrenaline, and that makes this vid even better
Zac, I never understood what is the point of 150cc motorcycles when you already have 125cc everywhere, is it just for some markets where it makes sense to have small cc bike because of cost or what not or is it because there is a difference between how 125cc and 150cc engines/frame/chassis are made?
Agreed. For the US market it should have been the 125 since aftermarket already exists.
