I thank Leslie for this fantabulous song ❤❤❤❤❤😃😃😃😃😃. I can remember hearing that song back forty-two years ago. That song still sounds fantabulous today ❤❤❤❤❤😃😃😃😃😃.
I have always loved this song. Every time I hear this song, it immediately takes me back to the summer of 1982 again. Thank you for giving us this beautiful song!
Should have been nothing less than a Top Ten record back in 1982. A&R department at RCA fell down on this one! This song has all of the elements and "hooks" to keep the listener "coming back for more." Nice harmony and a beautiful key change after the bridge. Love it in 2024 and think of my beautiful wife of thirty years!
I was hoping to see the singer sing it in the video. Got introduced to this song while my dad was dying from Covid. It cheered me up for a moment when I was grieving.
This one was played a whole bunch in the summer of 1982 on radio stations. I had not heard it in probably 40 years, but I played it often when working radio when it was a hit. One of those lost early 1980's songs.
I loved this song when I first heard it 40 years ago. But then, for some reason, I forgot the name of it and couldn’t recall it. Then, last night, as I was going to sleep, it suddenly popped into my head. So glad I found it again.
my folks had this on analogue casette back in the day...and I played it to death...literally.too young to understand the lyrics then but old enough to know a good tune😊
I have LOVED Leslie Pearl and her music since the 80’s! She’s only made 1 cassette that I know of and I had that made into a CD! I love her music and have tried to see where she is but to avail…..if anyone knows I’d love to hear! Thanks
This song has a great chord progression. I've always appreciated that in a song. Chords in the chorus 'progress' with a kind of glorious build up. Almost like religious pageantry. It's hard to put into words, but when you hear it you know. Another example would be in the song 'Limelight' by the Alan Parson's project in the chorus. "Limelight, you were all I ever wanted since it all began" Go to this song in youtube and notice the chords in the words "All....Be...gan" Those chords together would be fitting in a wedding or coronation.
This is clearly Leslie's song, but I would love to have heard a version by Dusty Springfield. Karen Carpenter could have knocked it out of the park as well a la "Touch Me When We're Dancing" style.
I didn’t know Leslie wrote the Folgers jingle- best part of waking up… Too bad her singing career didn’t take off well. But she’s made a living from it.
The only station I remember this song being played on was WNBC (660 AM, WFAN since 1988) in New York. Not really a big hit when it came out in the spring of 1982.
Great song but lousy video. It's just cliche pics of "happy couples" when in reality the song is about doubt and indecision. I would have preferred to see Leslie herself performing in the video instead of generic couples.
This video would not have gone over very well in 1982. I would have preferred to see Leslie perform as well. Great tune with lots of great melodic "hooks" Cheers from Wisconsin in 2024.

Old songs like this one don't come and go. They stay in our memory.
When heard this song in my local radio station 96.3 of phillipines.i really like it sounds like musical full of life and love ❤

Absolutely. I've been listening again lately on repeat.
41 years after its release this song could still bury anything on the radio today.
Agree much ❤
Truth. I love this song. I still treasure my 45. Now that the kids are grown, it's safe to dust off the turntable!
How True!!!
I rediscovered this listening to a 41-year-old “American Top 40” recording tonight. Beautiful. Awesome the song got this video treatment.
This was already a great song 40+ years ago, but seeing all kinds of couples in here just puts over the top! 💯
I was hoping to see the singer sing it in the video. Got introduced to this song while my dad was dying from Covid. It cheered me up for a moment when I was grieving.
I can't help but cheer on every happy couple in this video. The music says it all.
The producers should have included images of people creeping after kids, animals, and the dead. That is, if they wanted to be consistent.
Wow, this song just popped in my head. I had to look it up and listen to it. I missed it. 😢
Leslie, it's a great song. And the video was (is!) genius! So many happy couples to accompany the music. Thank you!
ITt's a HIT!! I'll be singing it all day long!! And the video fits, baby! It's a Hit!!
It's also a one-hit wonder.
I love 80s music like this one from the singer and also the composer leslie pearl ...

I heard it on the radio then. I also remember that the NEXT song played was the very similar "When Will I See You Again," by the Three Degrees.
❤ yeah still a winner!Of course it came out my favorite year of music
I love this song, it invokes memories of a simpler time and my one true love.

I just heard this song right now and immediately searched for the title. Didn't know it was an old song. This sounds so good!
Wow I forgot about this one for 41 years until I was skimming thru my chart book. Mainstream oldies radio doesn't play this one ever.
This one, and “personally “came out about the same time I believe. Both were great songs. Still love them and listen to them often.
at 47, I can still recall when our Teacher taught this song to us, her Grade 1 pupils at MSU-ILS in Marawi City
I love this song , it’s bring back memories, thank you Ms. Leslie ❤❤❤
Great and catchy tune. I didn’t hear this in the 80s. Making up for that.
I heard this song yesterday in taxi in Baguio city. I find this song very beautiful.
my folks had this on analogue casette back in the day...and I played it to death...literally.too young to understand the lyrics then but old enough to know a good tune😊
One of my all time favorite's song in the 80's and now brings back fresh memories.
Thank you for this very memorable song. Still listening and sharing this with my kids in 2023! ❤
Summer of 82!
i love the song.. still listening to it from 1992 upto 2024...
Love this song!!!! A hit all over again!!!!
Sensitive songs like this are under rated but they are timeless in message and endure. Beautiful classic Leslie! Nice video too.
Thank you so much!
Sarap talaga ng buhay kapag kasama mo ang nag-iisang mahal mo...💖🚴♂️ 💏👨👩👦👨👨👦👦
This song makes me lovable.... again ❤...
Wow love this song❤

Hadn't thought of this until I saw it on yt tonight. She has a Wikipedia entry but it doesn't say what she's doing now. She's done two albums.

Thank you for your response, what is her second album called? I only have the one.
I heard the song on 80 s channel on sirius/ xm. Great song

Love it!! Total Hit!!
A very simple song but it's VERY BEAUTIFUL....! THE BEST SONG EVER FOR ME!!!

Official video??? People don’t looks like in 1982
And the video looks like made with shutterstock
Great song... but I really expected to see Leslie in the video. Unless she is and I missed her...

Not sure about the video... Audio awe-some. I had the 45 ✌️

About unpreparedness as well.

Wasn't Leslie Pearl friends with Karen Carpenter?
Catchy song but what kind of apples and oranges put this video together? And Pearl approved it. Foh
Was she a one hit wonder ? 🤔
Wonderful song, awful video.
Agreed why'd you go woke?
What do mean by woke?
Well, at least the male/female scenes weren't nass T. Way to let a 2024 Wokee produce your video.
Beautiful song but the stupid gay video spoil it
