Finally! After 3 years of searching on RUclips, there’s finally a South African who made a review on this car. A lot of these reviewers from here (SA) make videos about Polo Gtis or just regular cars. You’re highly appreciated Mdu, wish you success on your channel and to grow big. At least I will someday say there’s a RUclipsr I supported from day 1😃❤
Very inspiring. Thank you. I appreciate your support. I will be reviewing more cars that are not always reviewed by everyone in SA. So by all means stay tuned 🫡
I hope you'll have great miles ahead of you. It's such a fantastic product from GM. I wanted to buy one but was swayed away by the reliability issues the engine has through the research I've done. So now my current pick is between Fiesta ST, Clio RS 220 or Focus ST but in ST1 trim.
Although I own an Opel Corsa C 2006 model, I've always had my eye on the Opel Astra OPC. I think it's terribly underrated and it looks great. I like that it's an uncommon vehicle. Great review.
Completely forgot, the Infinity sound system in the OPC is wicked!! There is a subwoofer in the boot, next to the spare tyre. Best standard sound I have ever heard by a thousand miles....
Upgrades 💪. This car is both comfortable and fuel efficient when you need it to be, but if you wanna show someone your tail lights as well. Lol it does the job ✌️
@@umacingwane I am an Opel fan through and through. This is my 5th Opel model, out of 7 cars. I keep trawling the web: my head wants the OPC, my heart (and the wife) want a house. Kwanzima emhlabeni wamadoda.
Stoked to see a SA car review on hot hatches. The new Golf gti's etc. are ridiculously expensive. Kuk ugly too, if youask me. I always buy a few years old hot hatch. Better value for money. I had the previous OPC but that was an animal, to much power through the front wheel. I had a scirocco R, then I was overseas and had a blue 2014 Opc. I did 280 kmh on the Autobahn, true speed and a video of it. Now I am back in SA and I have a red OPC. The slip dif makes a massive difference, somehow you don't feel the power so much. The scirocco felt more powerful but I never got close to 280 kmh. Top was around 257 kmh, west coast road. Even compared to todays cars, scirocco and opc are beautiful cars. They just have these awesome flow lines and look better than most cars on the road today. All the fancy screen's and electronics mean shit to me. Pity the OPC came out a few months before dsg, the clutch is a bit of a bitch, not fun in a traffic jam. Keep up the good work Macingwane!!!
I got mine yesterday, 2014 in blue. No regrets at all, scared the life out of me when I pushed it a bit, but probably because I came from a 1.3 mk1 golf to this. Still trying to figure out all the damn buttons. However I do feel like I'm standing out like an annoying pimple, people do stare which I'm not used to.
Underrated hatch! It s a beast after changing intake, dumpvalve Nd exhaust.Got it new from fabriek, one of the lasts of 2017 made in Russelsheim. I ve also a focus mk2 rs. For me the 2 hottests hatch and you see not a lot.
■ Man, I love Opel/Vauxhall Astra and the latest, which is not available in RSA... sad. .... at least the latest Corsa is something stunning!! ♤ Keep Up The Good Work. You're unique.
@@umacingwane that’s actually my number 1 option I have always loved the st including the fiesta st which is apparently a lot more fun to drive. I will give you an update once I have made the purchase 🤟🏽🙏🏽it’s probably going to be ST3 2016 to 2018 model

It’s really a good car. Best of both. Day to day and also when you need that muscle engine. It comes out to play hey 💪

I have the 1.4 turbo, 2014 model. Happy with the balance of performance and fuel economy. I still want to buy the J OPC and get the 1.6T Astra (K)

Lol kunzima ukuba indoda. My personal advice. Let’s secure the house first though so we can proceed with the hearts desires

You need to add an external mic which you can put at the back for when doing pulls. For better audio
I have the previous opc. Till today i get looks and hoots everytime driving it

its a unique beast.
One day of a roadtrip I underestimated the distance and spend 14 hours driving...I can assure the seats are comfortable even for long distances
Next year I am getting one😊

No lies detected here. It is still relevant till date 🥹
Personally i don't like cars but there's something about the opel opc and 2022 Renault Megan RS. Can you review the Megan next
How is the availability of parts ?
Parts are a big problem i own 1 ,been 6 years now.
@@sbonisomabuza897how is the reliability
This or focus st ?
Honestly my personal preference is the Ford Focus st3 🥹. Spacious but still has the power you need.
@@umacingwanedo you still own that opc ?
It’s in my bucket list of options
ST3
OPC
PEUGEOT 208 GTI
Unfortunately not anymore.
Get a ST3. But that’s my own opinion
