Hello from Greensboro. Harvesting and processing, I believe is more work than the actual planting. I spent 4 hours today just doing that and then driving to meet my daughter halfway in Saxpahaw to share some with her and I’m beat. Just put a load of basil in the dehydrator and hung onions in the shed, with sage drying under the pergola and I’m ready to call it a day. Will be back at it in the morning to get more tomatoes and peppers and squash.

Wow your garden looks so healthy just a awesome garden so neat and what a harvest. When I grow up I want my garden to look just like yours. Im always fighting some kind of bug and some kind of disease. Im fairly new at gardening and never had a green thumb killed every house plant ive ever had decided I wanted to try to grow my own food in my upper years and its hard work at least for me but I wish just once my garden looked like yours this time of the year. Fighting blight on the right mosaic on the left I love growing my own food and eating it but it wears me out and I guess a new lesson every year I did get a great corn harvest and tomatoes, beans a few zucchini before the vine borer got a hold to it. But hopefully ill learn something from you. Sorry so long god bless and keep growing and showing us how to get it right 😁

Great video as always man 👍. Your pepper harvest are always awesome, those Marconis look perfect. Tennessee is 97 with a real feel of 106 and humidity sitting at 74%. The only plants in my garden that are happy at the moment are watermelons, hot peppers, and sun sugar tomatoes. Everything else is frying in the afternoon sun. I think I've made up my mind to invest in some quality sun shades for next year. The sun is literally burning the skin off of all of my sweet and mild peppers, such a disappointment after nurturing them since January.

Hi. Another satisfied Zip lock n Rubber Maid customer. I know you usually post the names of the produce grown, so you are forgiven for not posting on all produce harvested. How do you use the dehydrated tomatoes? Your food n produce is always so stylistically pleasing to see. Now we need cooking videos using your produce. Are you having skin issues this year in your garden? I've never seen you use gloves while gardening before, but you have in 2 videos so far. Yes, we watch that closely, not stalking. Are the cukes n Zucchini always that large, for that variety planted? Or it just shows what a great gardener you are using your methods!!! Peace to you and yours

    • @BubbleBeet

hi, i put dehydrated tomatoes into soups and salads during the winter. I wear gloves when harvesting beans because the vines and leaves are really scratchy. Its best to harvest zucchini and cumbers a little earlier sometimes because when they get large the internal seeds are fully formed and not easy to eat. thanks :)

Is it true that veggies from the garden taste different than the ones at the store? (I may have asked this question before and forgot about it... my memory isn't the best) Like I don't like cucumbers, but I wonder if my distaste for them is based on ones that have no flavor. I wonder if I'd actually like cucumbers if they were grown in a garden. Lettuce, too... I don't really like the stuff in stores. I eat it anyway since I know it's good for me, but it's just not tasty at all. Again, though, idk if that's because store stuff is crappy.

Some Veggies taste better when you grow it yourself Tomato, beans family, fruits, potatoes. I grew a different variety of Cucumber which is not found in the store it was good, tastes a bit sweeter.
Just grow something you like first then go from there.
There are different varieties of Cucumber you can choose from, just like any other vegetables to grow.
      Good luck.

@@cek7940 Thanks, I love red beet but have been thinking of trying to grow the white one to see if it taste good.
This is my second year of gardening. Last year was a lot of miss than hit but I did enjoy growing vegetables, this year I'm hoping of doing things differently and try to be more organised.
I get carried away with trying to plant a lot of Vegetables. I'm planting in foam boxes the result is not that great, only the beans family and Asian greens grow well but the rest not so much. I'll try pots this year and hopefully it will be better.
