Overhaul's voice actor..LEGEND! the guy delivers left and right! These last episodes really hit hard...and the aftermath...amazing season, the best for me.
my favourite arc hands down! season four somehow covers all of my absolute favourite parts of hero aca, and ep 13 is a masterpiece. i remember when it came out, and wondering how they would translate the fight from manga to anime, and they blew all my expectations out of the water. merry christmas lachy, and happy holidays to all!!
"he can just go full All Might now" Nah, bro this is wayyyyyyy beyond what All Might can do. All Might had a good build and great instincts for controlling the quirk which is why he never hurt himself how Deku does, but he never went 100% all the time. He functioned more or less how Deku does and only brought out part of the power, though we saw him use 100% in fights like vs the Nomu. That plus the fact that All for One gets stronger over time. Deku using 100% full cowling is literal cheat codes godmode. No one has ever been that strong, ever, and no one could beat that. It's impossible levels of power.
Yeah people tend to forget how OFA actually works. All Might's OFA is super strong, change the weather strong, when he goes 100%. BUT, OFA is a STOCKPILE of power that gets STRONGER every time it gets passed on, used, and adds more power to the pool. So, Deku's 100% is actually meant to be significantly stronger than All Might. Even here with the way Deku is essentially flying by just kicking the air, even All Might hasn't shown a sustained kind of flight and just hulk jumps around instead.
I honestly miss your haikyuu reactions since it's my comfort anime plus you're my fave reactor 🥰 and watching you enjoying it makes me love the anime more ❤️ HAPPY HOLIDAYS! 🎄🎁🎉 PS: MHA is one of my top fave too 💖
10:51 lol, not sure about that specific shot but yes! Mr Nakamura does animate here for Deku vs Overhaul! I know for sure he specifically does the shot of the fists raining down on overhaul
I absoutely love when the main character instantly becomes the scariest threat. Something so satisfying about seeing him let loose. Also I read a comment somewhere saying that they played All for One's theme during Deku's final punch sequence, and that it became Deku's theme just for that moment. Really brilliant choice
40:03 unfortunately recovery girls quirk only makes peoples healing factor faster. So if someone is too hurt and she uses her quirk in them their body will use all its energy to try to heal and theyd die anyways.
I think its interesting how Eri's quirk can be applied. It kinda touches on how someone could unintentionally be limiting themselves based on how they think their quirk operates. I highly doubt that her power wouldve been fully explored if chisaki hadnt been meddling with it. Not only can she just turn back someone to the state they were in a couple min ago before they were injured. Being able to reverse evolutionary adaptations us crazy, and it doesn't seem too far fetched tbh. Like obviously no one will ever be born with the power to just do this but in a lab setting with embryos? We can still see old traits of our ancestors in the coding for our DNA and visually see it in things like chickens during development. Thats why some people today can still be born with a little tail. Something in their DNA was accidentally reactivated.
10/10 Intro. Bro looked like he had a seizure or was mad drunk opening the door. Just flooped. Eri's backstory makes sense. Imagine your child touched your signficant other & caused them to vanish from existance & rewound to the point before they were born... you'd be mad scared too plus your partner is now dead. Eri's mom just couldn't take that pressure and broke down. The OST that plays during eri-backpack is one of my fav of any anime. Needless to say, now you see why this is my most fav arc for MHA. The tipping point & also the animation hype after deku vs todoroki. Also, now I wanna recommend you to watch naruto & naruto:shippuden (& not boruto) after this as a big shounen series. One Punch Man is also a good medium size anime too, with S3 to come soon so maybe wait for S3 to start airing.
I've been waiting for this fight, for me, PEAK MHA, not a hater, but man, for me this is the best arc, the best fight and my favorite animation in the whole fucking show, from now on nothing would ever reach this arc, this villain, these moments for me.
These are epic episodes, but damn so sad too. It is the perfect end to this arch though. I love who this arch focuses on! I can't wait to watch the next ones!!
HERE WE FUCKIN GOOOOOO the conclusion to this depressing ass arc 😭😭 ONE HUNDRED PERCEEEEEEEEEEENT!!!! 😌 ugh gets me so hyped love the Super Saiyan inspiration sm Edit 1/2: what Shigaraki did to Overhaul was p brutal, but tbh.... Karma is a bitch, so Overhaul deserves it imo for what he did to Eri Edit 3: Nighteye's death breaks my fucking heart every fucking time
Kinda funny that you thought an earlier cut was Nakamura (cube guy) when he was indeed actually in the episode just at a different point. If you couldn't guess already, the cut from Deku throwing out the barrage of punches until that final punch was all Yutaka Nakamura. He's pretty much the MHA team's ace animator who does most of the big climax cuts.
i thought a lot about why some future can change and some cant and best i can come up with is that Night eye's foresight works based on informations he knows. So when something beyond his comprehension happens he can't predict it. I feel like future he saw is the one where overhaul escapes as deku dies to eri's quirk (as she cant control she would just rewind him into non-existence). But deku realizes situation he is in so he constantly breaks his bones by using 100% which is insane thing to do. As someone who broke multiple bones multiple times on accident and on purpose i can tell that willingly breaking bones is much harder than people think because of brain's self defense mind block. So the idea of what deku did is beyond nighteye's comprehension so he cant predict the future where someone would willingly do what deku did.
I always like to think that since eri's quirk rewinds, it messes with future sight specifically because nighteye will see the future of deku losing, but just as deku "loses" he gets reversed to full hp again which breaks how the future happens over and over again 💀
Also I think Night Eye’s prediction are off because he’s not accounting for the insane potential of One For All and how it builds up each generation. To him and his predictions Midoriya is just a budget all might in training, but in actuality Midoriya is and always has been something new to All-Might.
The thing about Foresight is that it does't take into account what Nighteye thinks. We were shown he used it on a total stranger and it worked as intended. In truth, I actually would've loved if the reason the future changed was because of both OFA's "unnatural properties" and Eri's quirk constantly rewinding the subject of that future, creating different outcomes, but no, the author chose the boring "everyone's collective wishes saved the day" and because no one else questioned that later on, we have to take it as what actually happened.
Lachy don't read further! I HAVE to ask a question to the manga readers. So don't read past this point Any manga readers, does this 100% deku, win or lose to the current faux 100 deku? End of season 7?
Manga reader here 👋 The manga doesn't really go that direction but I can give my personal opinion, which will include spoilers for the latest season of the anime. While true 100% Deku is most likely more powerful "technically" I think the Deku we see in season 7 is a more powerful hero in practicality. What I mean is that while a pure 100% Deku may punch harder or generate more measurable force, he's only using one quirk. By being able to tap into multiple quirks and create a faux 100% Deku is able to use his strategic strengths to their maximum potential and becomes a force to be reckoned with due to his unpredictability and flexibility. Hope that reasoning makes sense but yeah my opinion is that Deku combining all of OFA is more powerful than a pure 100% smash
@hollyhahn2399 that's what i was thinking, it felt like s7 is far superior, but for different reasons, and shows his potential is far higher. I appreciate this response 🙏🏼
“You’ll become a finer hero than anyone else” hits very different with what we know of Mirio now
Legendary item equipped: Eri Backpack
HAHAHA I love this
"if i cant save one small girl right in front of me how can i become a hero who saves everyone." hardest line in the anime
Literally gave my goosebumps goosebumps
@@lachyywhite they make me cry every time >.
these episodes are tearjerkers!! deku's kindness to eri always moves me, him and mirio's determination to save her makes me weep lol
So so true, deku and mirio are such a good duo
Eri makes me sob every time, that’s literal daughter.

One of my favorite arcs in the whole show. It's so good.
Been waiting on this one! Thanks for the update as always.
Thanks so much for watching legend, it was such a good episode

It was suchhhh a good arc! I loved all the animation, fights and villains but I definitely loved the character growths the most

15:25 this reminds me of the kh1 final boss
I’m excitedddd for season 5 despite the hate, we are almost there
Not to spoil anything, but the irony of some things you say is hilarious knowing what's coming in future seasons lol
4:18 immediately sus, as you should be
This one is my favorite episode
I hope my banana juice is an acceptable replacement for water today
Send me some
I don’t think customs would be to happy importing food but I’ll give it a shot!
Quick correction: its not that overhaul stands no chance against all might, its that he stands no chance against *Deku*
Love this episode

I'm not sure if its available in Australia, but if it is you gotta get ole trapper beef jerky, especially the peppered one. Puts jack links to SHAME.
Yo ima look for it now
how has nobody told you yet that the title says OVERHUAL
Thats crazy hahahah
