Mahé, Seychelles. A moment of Moutya, at night, near the magnificent Creole architectural ensemble of the Domaine du Val des Prés. Between singing and dancing, the artists express what this art of the people, by the people, and for the people, represents for them: an essential element of the Creole identity. A symbolic and sacred expression of African slaves, forbidden during colonial times, Moutya was recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2021.
