I'm so happy I watched, I just purchased this yesterday through Amazon w 100$ off! I did tons of research, and this one came up several times with near 5 star reviews. That being said, I was still nervous: "Is this a good one?" So watching this absolutely made my day, and I can not wait to start creating!! Thanks for the information 🎉

HolyStone is where I started and had no complaints. This one looks like a great beginner drone.
It looks like a redesigned F11 Pro Gim. It shoots nice video and the price point is nice for those looking to get a decent entry level drone with features not available on the budget DJI mini drones though at this price I would probably lean towards purchasing the DJI Mini SE instead. You can also get the F11 pro gim for about $100 less which is more appealing and a better price point for beginners.
I purchased the HS600 in July and I love the way this things flies, so much fun. The blue and white LED's on the arms looks good and bright at night time and it can record your voice audio on video (through the controller) while flying. I also own a mini 2. I like them both. I'm keeping the HS600 for the speed and long-lasting batteries and extra features.
I have to mini 2 also, but i do like the 600.
I really want to buy this drone the HS600 do you think there is any reason NOT to buy this drone?

@@JAMAICAWALKBY actually I flew it yesterday in very light drizzle, worked fine, I like how it hovers an stay in place, plus the blue an white lights on the are, looks really kool a dusk. If it's ur first drone, I wld recommend it.

I've been trying to decide on this or the DJI Mavic mini (V1) since they are both the same price. I think dollar for dollar this will be a better value. Maybe someday I'll step up to a Mavic pro but I think for a beginner drone this HS600 will be perfect, thanks for the helpful review!

WANT SOMETHING REALLY FUN GET A 25.00 holy stone Hs190 nano drone ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL just look it up I fly indoor competition drone courses with time limits n objectives and I only loose if I make a error a nano drone that can charge in your controller with 3 speeds brushless mini ( n I mean mini ) motors with a 50 meter distance n u can crash it allday it’s a itsy bitsy BEAST

This seems to be a very nice drone. I see it is for sale at Walmart for $339 seems a little steep. I have a problem with groans because I am in a power wheelchair and I can’t Seem to calibrate the compass. I keep looking for a drone calibrate itself. Thanks for your good reviews I enjoy them very much.
I'm also in a power wheelchair and I've never encountered any issues in calibrating *ANY* drone from it.
I use a Quickie Pulse 6 electric wheelchair if it means anything with regards to EM interference.
I wonder if you can rig up a thing to a drone where you can swing it from a string and poke it with a stick to rotate it on both axis' from a distance. A bit weird and a little bit of a pain, but might work.

Captain Please i need some urgent assistance. I made it to upload my first RUclips video, after which i made a little changes to my RUclips channel name. But afterward i try to search my name and it isn't appearing . I have made use of the filter search but still my RUclips name isn't showing up. I have done everything from recommendation in videos online , i added everything , tags, description, title.... etc. But if I search with "channel name ' it doesn't show up. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
If you are new to RUclips, your channel will not show up immediately until you finally get subscribers and lots of views. You will have to send out the link to people at first.

I assume that I need to be away from tall trees and other obstacles for the "Follow Me" mode to work and so drone will not hit trees or power lines, etc., is that correct? I have tall Oak & Palm trees all over my neighborhood so me skateboarding on the sidewalk w the drone behind me will probably not work.
Correct. Your only option would be to fly it above tree top level and hope it doesn’t drop down lower when following you.
I'm wondering if if anyone that owns the hs600 manage to figure out how to switch the landing lights on?
I think they're sensors, not lights
Your phone connects to the Remotes wi-fi, NOT the drone. It has a built-in repeater in the remote for a extended RANGE.

For $400 RTF kit, that seems like a steal.
To me it seems camera mode is just slowest speed, drone rotates slower an there ya go, you can call it camera mode

Hi. It looks good drone in comparison with HS120D, but weight is a problem -1.1Lbs. You need to register your drone + license. The flight test is good, but I expected a test for distance because it is my problem.I need at least 500meters. If it is possible make a test for distance.Thanks.

It seems like an incremental improvement from the SJRC F11 Pro Gim (aka the DEERC DE22 Pro). The big improvement I see is the controller where they added telemetry data. I wonder how visible it is in the sun though.

Your videos are very informative, especially for market research for our first drone. It really helped me to narrow down the list of drones that we would get. The top runners are the Holy Stone HS600 or the KF101 MAX drone for that sweet sweet range.
Any major factor to choose one over the other (not factoring in the price)?
When you buy a drone for under the $300 US price tag, they are all considered entry level, so picking one over the other won't provide too much difference, perhaps just different features.
I paid $400 for ruko f11 gim 2. I am new to drones and thought I was investing in a good drone manufacturer name. This is the same drone as the Ruko. These same drones are sold by many different Chinese companies. When you are paying $350-$400 I find this unacceptable. You want to be investing in a quality name at that price point. I bought the F11 GIM2 and the Mavic mini SE and here is what I found. Although the F11 GIM 2-This drone, boasts level 7 wind resistance it doesn't handle as well as the mavic mini SE which boasts level 5. The Ruko has better day time video recording in my opinion. Low light conditions and the video is garbage though. These drones should be priced at $200 tops. Anymore than that and you should grab a mavic mini SE. The mini Se is steady as a Rock. Still thinking about sending the Ruko back. It is a fine drone, I just know it isnt worth what I paid. I would have been better off paying an extra $50 to get the Mini se 2.

I have a HolyStone hs510 and a 720e both failed and went crazy in about 5C, crashed both times, so do not fly in cooler weather, contacted holy stone and they never returned my many emails, asked if I could get a repair unit or where to repair and no customer service, they will talk to you when you are a unknowing buyer but if you have a problem they are no where to be found, this is my experience, so if you want to do a review do it in cooler weather, not 0c but say 5c which it should fly

I believe in the app, you can record your voice through your phone as you fly.

What would "Headless Mode" be?
That is a mode for people that can't get the hang of flying a drone. Since a drone can face in any direction when flying, new drone pilots get disoriented and their brains get mixed up when the nose of the drone faces them and everything becomes reversed, so HEADLESS mode makes the drone fly in the direction of the RIGHT joystick no matter what the orientation is.

This bird is pretty nice, but pretty overpriced also. I'd rather pay a bit more, but get a FIMI X8 SE 2020. Well, it's already not a bit anymore for me, as I already ordered lens filters, antenna amplifiers, hard case and all that in advance, and plan to bust additional $350 to $500 just on batteries alone, but is any of that available for the HolyStone? I mean, it's pretty expensive for a starter, and there's only C-Fly Faith 2 Pro to compete with; yet, you get a better experience adding just $70 on top of this drone's price. Batteries cost about the same, props for SJRC based drones can be more expensive than for FIMI (a fun fact!), you can't (easily) use a lens filter on both Faith 2 Pro and HS600, and you lose hell of a lot of range and several minutes of flight time from each battery underpaying these 70 bucks just for the aircraft itself. The only application I see with this drone is a starter for those who want it as smooth as possible, but that's about it. It's still a trainee bird, yet a top notch one. You can't reliably film with that in mountains, in city, or over forests, where you need a really good control and video signaling system, you can't get a pretty picture with that in a sunny winter day because there's no button “ND32-PL mode” anywhere in camera settings; and if there was, it would work horribly bad compared to real thing. But flying HS600 is still a lot of fun, I guess. Maybe I'll get one when they come to used market, but I'm definitely not getting it right now, like it was with Bugs 16-that one still kinda fits the toy price range, so you can buy that for kids and not be worried that they will eventually smash too much money into a tree or lake, while teaching them on a very decent flyer.

Hey DJI Lovers, The Mini, the Mini 2, and the Mini SE Don't have any tracking ability, don't have waypoints, sure those drones could be had for less but they offer less features. This is the first budget drone that matches the mini 1/Se in video quality while offering more features then DJI at the same price.... IF the mini SE could do RAW, Follow ME, Waypoints then YES it would be the better deal but it can't and the mini 2 also can't so good luck waiting for a mini 3 and or buying a zino mini pro if you want those features.

TOTAL beginner but ordered the HS600 last night after watching your review here, as my VERY FIRST drone ever (I mean for my daughter for Christmas - yeah, it's really for me). Having watched some of your other super helpful beginners' drones videos, I'm aware that the HS600 is more than just any old beginners' drone. Would you have any advice (even just linking to other videos you've done perhaps) on how I can look after it and NOT fly it into the sea within the first 6 months or preferably even several years of trying to enjoy and learn with this drone when it arrives?
GPS Drones are very easy to fly. Just fly in a wide open field until you feel comfortable with everything.

Are there FPV Goggles for the HS600?
I am interested on this Drone, but i will use fpv goggles too ;)
These type of drones can't use the true FPV but they can use those $30 VR goggles you get off of AMAZON.
Looks like you can find them on EBay
