I absolutely loved this! So so much!!! This is absolutely my favorite Beyond video that's been put up. Please, PLEASE make more like this!!! I'm going to have to look up Lou and Travis. I'd never heard of them before this but they're both such interesting people!
Thank you so much for this! Just starting out with learning the craft of worldbuilding and this has helped bring more focus and direction to my initial planning. I would LOVE to see more content like this. Amazing. If anyone can point me towards more stuff like this I'd love to know!
Maps can be like buffets, it’s easy to overload your plate with rice and french fries, it’s easy to add to much too early, you may find yourself spending a lot of time working through cheap carbs without getting to the crab legs.
@@DnDBeyond Yeah! Different names for universal things; like the/a moon! Mainly, I took away the idea that subtle things flesh out the world. Makes me remember that LotR began with the phrase "in a hole in the ground there lived a Hobbit." I'm sorry my comments aren't normally terribly thought provoking. I'm in poor health and get fatigued easily - yet, want to feed the algorithm to promote the channel. Hope all are well 😊

These kinds of talks are great. It helps the community expand their knowledge on how to build and run a world.

I'll be honest. This makes me not want to comment, anymore.
I have trouble envisioning what I want my map to look like in the end.
stealing the nictating membrane for my desert orc tribes...
Really, I'm here to glimpse at new ideas and techniques, what I've heard so far is banal, trite, uninspired.
