This is the best performance of 5th piano concerto by the great French composer Saint Saëns! The last movement is so vibrant and beautiful that not all performers can play it as skillfully as Pascal Rogé does here. Rogé's cadence and phrasing, I believe, is the key in making this movement flawless.
Roge is THE one pianist when it comes to Saint-Saens' large volume of concertos. Wonderful artistry, amazing technique, and always in control. Enjoyed his performance of this work with the CSO last year...simply fantastic.

Love this concerto, especially the 2nd mvt.
I especially like the dream like quality of the music at 10:40 til the end of the first movement. Beautiful music, lovingly played.
