I really appreciate your historical fiction! Would love to see even more of it, very entertaining! In my last play through my Kingdom's seat and most profitable/largest city was Zeonica. Seeing it being represented as Constantinople (or , better yet "the big city"!) brings much joy haha

I had to stop the let's play because there wasn't enough interest, but I think one video covering the whole campaign just like this would be so much fun! The campaign is WILD

No episodes missed! They are all on the 2nd channel :) The only thing I didn't record was the smithing and tournament grind. I spend an entire day doing that and there was literally nothing to watching lol I would find a tournament, watch a round and go do chores or workout and repeat :)

I watched this video and now I've gone back and I'm watching the playlist on Strat Plays. It's been really entertaining and I've been rooting you on as I do dishes. Seeing the growth has been fun, but what happened between Season 2 and Season 3? At one point, you mention the empire is collapsing and then next episode you are fighting Canut. A few episodes later you mentioned you had a baby. How did you leave Michael? After being rejected in your proposal for marriage twice, the successful attempt wasn't covered. The battles are fun, but your story telling is what makes it worth watching the playthroughs. Perhaps you can add the footage from 7:25 to 9:05 in this video to the Strat Plays playlist.

Funny you mention that, I do a lot of my RUclips watching while doing dishes as well lol Some things were done to make the story follow the real history - For example there was a rebellion in Constantinople in which the people rose up in opposition to the emperor and Harald was seen as a tool to help remove him. There's no mechanic for that in the game, so I used the character reloader mod to set up that scenario (copied his character model, used a companion to fill the roll, recorded the plucking or his eyes out, then made the real emperor 128 years old so he would die of old age lol). Same thing for the marriage, the Banner Kings mod made it impossible to secure the marriage (had big maluses from culture, not owning land, etc.) so I had to use mods to make it happen. That's one of the problems with showing everything - it's not sexy to say "I cheated the game to make the story move forward" and so I did my best by doing some cinematics with a storyline to make it more interesting :)

Lol true, the setup for this campaign took a while, BUT it was still a lot of fun to play :) There were quite a few big battles that I could have covered, but I simply ran out of time.

The stand alone banner lord game is good but it feels like 10% the potential the game could be. Mods and overhauls are going to make this game so much better
Yeah to be honest, it's like playing a different game with mods! The base game is amazing still - I had like 3k+ hours into unmodded alone, but mods add a lot of fun
Harald Hardrada is my favourite historical character. He's way cooler than Duke William in my opinion and he was just unlucky to be caught at Stamford bridge with his pants down. We'd probably be speaking Norwegian if he won in England (lord have mercy on our souls 🤣).

I also want to do more videos like this to bridge the gap between chapters so it helps people catch up if they want to jump back into a campaign :) I'm curious what your thoughts are for changes like this?
