Thank you for your reaction!! This is my first time on your channel, but i noticed that you react to tv shows a lot so i think you might be interested in the story they have in their MVs! (+ they have short films and "highlight reels" which aren't MVs but are part of the story). The storyline has been going on for years and there are a lot of theories, but nothing has been confirmed (it would be cool if you could make your own theory if you're into that!). There's an order in which you have to watch the MVs/Short Films etc. which i'll provide in a list at the end of this comment! (I'll also note which ones I recommend you to watch with eng subs and which ones to watch without subs, since the lyrics are important for the storyline in some videos but aren't in others). (Also ARMYs (BTS fans) correct me if i'm wrong on anything pls!) The order to watch them is: 1. I Need U (Original Version!!) MV (Watch without CC) (There are 2 versions of this MV, but the "Original Version" is the one with the storyline, so pls watch that one and not the other one!!), 2. 화양연화 on stage: Prologue (Watch with ENG subs! No subs in official video so just look for the video title + "Eng subs" and you'll find a subbed version!) 3. Run MV (Watch without CC) 4. Young Forever MV (Watch with CC! There's CC in the official video!) After this there's even more (Wings short films, Blood Sweat and Tears MV, Highlight Reels, Euphoria etc.), but since you said you're planning to react to 4/5 more videos these would be a good way to start. Also don't forget to watch till the end! There's something at the end sometimes! Thank you.
TheTrophyMunchers honey u need to see Run, I Need U, Epilogue, Young Forever then WINGS ERA Fire, blood Sweat Tears, read up on them. Please bts started june 2013 kookie youngest was 15 then V and Jimin like 17 and RM was 18 then Jhope and Suga 19 and Jin oldest 21 now they are 20 to 25
frytjeeeh is #2 HYYH? It's a little difficult to know if you're looking at the right video if you don't know Hanguel. Can you post the link to the video you're taking about? Also, I would recommend watching any videos that have CD with them on. It may not seem important, but when you look at all of the videos as parts of a book, things that seem like they're just boastful or hyper can give clues to the mindset of where these boys about to be men, or young men are in their development. Fire and Not Today are great examples of someone trying to define themselves beyond what society says its needed/wanted of them. Rebelling against that can easily be seen as acting out in ways that get them in trouble. There usually is conflict when someone wants to be one way (good or bad), and others see them as something else (good or bad). The person being defined (judged) can feel misunderstood, which leads to feeling isolated.
TheTrophyMunchers No actually it's was real they show us some the clip and how some scenes were made on a special spoilers video and the floor collapsing was 100% real like the fire, the water
TheTrophyMunchers no there really wasn't any CGI. the room with the falling floor was built for the music vidoe they showed it in behind the scene pictures
dude i'm so shook right now lmfao, this is the last thing i was expecting to see in my sub box from you o: the oldest is 25 and the youngest is 20, but when they started the youngest was just 15! although they make it Just ambiguous enough in most music videos for people who don't know them/casual fans to be confused on what it's about and still enjoy them, they've basically built an alternate universe for a majority of their music videos (+ extra things they've released) to take place in that contributes to an overarching story line, some more metaphorically in the visuals than literal and straightforward. it'd probably be your thing to watch through all the story related stuff, but it can be a lot to take on because there really is so much to it and it's very confusing. either way, i'm happy you reacted to this and i will be happy if you react to them again in the future in some way [:
This video is a continuation of a storyline that they have been doing for the past three yeard. If you ever want to follow the storyline preceeding Fake Love start with: I Need You (19+ version) Prologue Run Young Forever The Wings Short Films: #1 Begin #2 Lie #3 Stigma #4 First Love #5 Reflection #6 Mama #7 Awake Boy Meets Evil Blood Sweat and Tears Blood Sweat and Tears (JPN version) Love Yourself Highlight Reels Euphoria: Theme of Love yourself Wonder I know it's like a lot. These guys love making stories and deep sh**. (ARMY if i forgot something just comment)
Great reaction Joe. Never though I would see you reacting to them. So bts has been around since 2013 and they were at the BBMAs last year and won an award. They were already quite big in 2016, but they really blow up in 2017. 3 of them are rappers, 4 are vocalists. They write and produce majority of their songs and talk about some pretty deep shit like depression, consumerism, media manipulation, the school system, politics and much more (main reason why many love them, they barely have love songs). This entire album is about the dark part of loving yourself. And the storyline for their videos: they have this ongoing story that started in 2015 with the release of "I need U", the video that really made them popular. It's complicated as hell, full of metaphorical stuff, they use a lot of literature and art as symbolism in this story. Not even us, the fans, are sure what is about, but the main theme is the transition between out teen days and adulthood, and everything we face during that time.
pambarab thank you. I though a lot how to give him an overview about it without confusing him+ giving too much away. After all, even us are confused by the theories lmao
Thank u for the explanation I have heard about them last year But I never listened to their songs becoz I really thought k pop isn't me But fake love music video still blows my mind and I m getting obsessed with him now slowly .
Priyanka Kannan I'm glad that you're enjoying them. Besides the MVs, there are dance practices, and then there is BangtanTV, which has a lot of different videos. Their main channel is ibighit. I hope this info will help you get to know the guys, and find out why we love them so much.
I literally was thinking if you would ever react to BTS and then this pops up...DO MY EYES DECEIVE ME???? You should react to Mic Drop, Blood, Sweat & Tears, DNA and Spring Day.
It had subtitles you just had to put on the closed captions. 😂 To understand you would have to go back all the way to their 2015 release 'I Need U' because almost if not all of their music videos are connected to a huge plot and there's so many fan theories. They also debuted on June 13, 2013 so they have been active for quite a while but they have been getting more and more attention after each new release.
idk who you are but i like you, your personality, how openminded you were/are. I hope you react to more of their stuff. Also BTS's videos usually have subs on them just click the 'cc' button, there mv's have this whole story connecting them all so it's ok to not understand what is going on, they use a lot of symbolism and their lyrics tend to get really deep. I hope you fall into the rabbit hole that is BTS! lol :D
I just really like this kind of reactions that ppl concentrate on the stuff they're watching and speak out their real thoughts calmly... Thx for a good reaction.
This is new...I LOVE IT!!! As part of the BTS army, I appreciate this. And also all their music videos have a meaning and are connected to tell a story along with their highlight reals.
YEESSS JOE 😍 All of their music videos are really high production! They write and produce their own songs. Most of their songs have really beautiful and deep meanings behind them. They have talked about mental illness, societal problems, female empowerment, and many more important topics in their songs that other kpop bands haven't (same with writing and producing their own songs) which is why they're the most kpop band that has blown up worldwide. They practice their choreographies for 12 hours a day. Also yes they're all in their 20s! 20 till 25. Their music videos connect and form a storyline, so you probably won't really understand the story lol. Other music videos of theirs you really should watch are Mic Drop, DNA, Blood Sweat & Tears, Not Today and Spring Day. And to everyone saying have you turned on the cc, i already told you about the cc on twitter but I recommend you don't turn them on the first time though and just enjoy the song! It's more enjoyable that way the first time. Loved your reaction and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Also they have songs of almost every genre! They really experiment with their music and don't stick to one sound, so if you don't like one of their songs or it's not your style, you'll most likey like the next one, or the one after that! x
Well they’re a 7 membered group under big hit entertainment which is a relatively small company that only has two artist under them bts and a vocal duo. It consists of 4 vocalist: jungkook, Jin, V and jimin and 3 rappers: RM, suga and Jhope. Their music videos are always high quality. This mv is also part of a storyline that’s been spanning over the last 3 years so my best bet for you would be to react to the entire storyline and that’ll make that patreon probably very happy. The mvs go in this order: I need u (original version) Prologue Run Epilogue: Young forever Wings short films (there’s 7 of them) Blood sweat and tears Highlight reels
Of course you don’t have to react to them at all, it’s just a suggestion that I feel like you’ll enjoy bc there’s loads of theories surrounding these mvs that are very in-depth.
If you're looking for hype songs by BTS: 1.) Not Today 2.) Danger 3.) FIRE 4.) DNA 5.) Dope If you're looking for beautiful songs: 1.) Save Me 2.) Butterfly 3.) The Truth Untold 4.) I Need U 5.) Young Forever If you're looking for more aesthetic: 1.) Blood Sweat & Tears 2.) DNA 3.) Serendipity. 4.) Prologue 5.) All the short films for WINGS What am I kidding? They're all hype, beautiful and aesthetic.
There are 4 vocalists and 3 rappers. Vocalists: Jungkook V Jimin Jin Rappers: RM Suga Jhope Age range: 20-25. You should react to BTS I need you and spring day. Also the Gogo live performance to get an idea of what they do. Maybe some funny compilations, they're amazing people. Loved your reaction! Quality right there!!!
i never would've thought that you would react to this, thank you!! BTS are really at the peak of their careers, and they truly deserve all their sucess
Wow I am following you for a while now and you are reacting to BTS 👍 The MV is related to previous ones and they are following a storyline. I think they said that they didn't use CG for the explosion and the water. Plus the floor was really falling but Jungkook (the one running) had a harness for security. So idk how much it costs but it must be a lot of money 😂😂😂
In love with your reaction *-* like, so genuine! There's a whole story line leading to this one! Fun fact, there was no CGI here, we've seen a bit of the behind the scnes and it is confirmed by the company. Also, every MV has eng subs! ♡ BTS's lyrics are always very deep it is a very important part of they music. They write and produce most of their songs. And always take part in it. ♡
Awh.. Thank you for the reaction! I apreciate how you pay attention to it. So far i think you are the most respectfull first time reactor these days. And yes, they are early 20s. The youngest is 21, the oldest 26. And its okay, u dont know much. Thank you for willing to know. Ah, one of the precious thing about this band is their lyrics and meanings behind them. Anyway.. Enjoy💜
its actually a really long story I need you (19+ version) prologue Run young forever blood sweat and tears (korean version) blood sweat and tears (japanese version *dont react to it coz of copy right* ) begin short film lie short film stigma short film first love short film reflection short film mama short film awake short film high light reel euphoria singularity fake love i guess this is almost the story line in order thats what i remember songs you can react to and like i guess are: fire blood sweat and tears Mic drop ft steve DNA Not Today i dont know if you watched with subs or not but all bts MVs have sub also the members names are (stage name + year of birth): RM (leader 94) JIN (92) SUGA(93) JHOPE(94) JIMIN(95) V(95) JUNGKOOK(97)
It's good to see a different type of reaction to something you don't usually react to, respect for that. BTS not really my style but they have a lot of fans so more power to you guys.
Hey thanks for giving them a listen!! This MV can be very confusing for new people because it ties into a storyline they’ve been developing with other MV’s and short films since 2015, but as a very general explanation: all but one of the guys are in rooms that represent their fears which also kind of ties in nicely with the lyrics, another thing you should know is that in all their official MV’s they do have cc in english and in RUclips you can find pretty much any of their songs with traductions in case you are ever interested. Honestly their lyrics are one of the main reasons I first became a fan and now here i am, hope you give them another shot.
the storyline of this music video actually goes back like 3 years, it's a huge concept spanning over like 2 albums. they are all between 20 and 25 years old. they have a huge hand in the creative proces, production and writing of their music. The full album is also petty good, it encompasses a lot of different genres. they've been around since 2013, working their way up since they come from a very small company amidst a sea of the saturated kpop industry which is dominated by three big multi-million dollar companies
Thx for ur reaction. Interesting fact, most BTS fans are NOT Kpop fans either. We see BTS as artists who happen to be v proudly Korean. We're proud of their roots but it doesn't mean we have to lump them into a stereotypical & limited box/genre, nor are we obliged to stan EVERYONE in it. We're here for BTS & their music as artists in their own right.
Yes, my favorite thing about BTS music videos is that they almost always leave me curious about what the true meaning about each one is. The symbolism in each video is absolutely insane and the theories never end. I would love to see what you think about what the whole "alternate universe" behind their music videos is talking about since I always enjoy gaining new insight. It'd be interesting to hear your insight :) Kpop has never been a genre I've enjoyed, but BTS is really something else. Thanks for the video!
Wow i never expected this but im beyond happy lol. This mv does have a meaning, reacting to bts is actually very close to reacting to a movie or tv show because there actually is a story. If u want to actually try to dive into this story this is the order you should go. "I Need u"(Original Ver.), "On Stage Prologue"(make sure u find eng subs), "Run", "Epilogue:Young Forever", "Blood Sweat & Tears" - if u only want to do 4 or 5, but the story continues into short films. If u don't wanna dive into a story that u probably won't finish then here are some fun music vids u can watch instead: "Save Me', "Dope", "Fire", "Mic Drop". Also be sure to hit the cc button before the video so u can know what their talking about. And to answer ur question their ages range from like 21-26 so early 20's. :)
They're 21-26 in Korean age, but internationally they're 20-25 😊 i had to check haha because i always mix up their korean ages with their international ones 😂
I really appreciate you reacting. It's my first time watching your channel, but you were really chill and it was cool seeing a genuine response. You're right in that this video is tied to alot of their other videos, so you wouldn't get it's meaning by watching it alone. Honestly you won't get its meaning even having watched the others. Just know that they are exploring the concept of youth and coming of age, and kind of the death of childhood innocence, and since 2015, with I Need You, they have been weaving this imagery throughout their videos. And in this video you see kind of easter eggs from all their previous videos from the past 3 years. There are alot of intricate theories, but none are confirmed. We're all just along for the ride. As for recommendations: Save Me, Fire, Mic Drop, I Need You, and War of Hormone. I Need You and War of Hormone are 2 of their older songs, but WOH showcases interesting one-shot choreography and INY shows the beginning of their theory videos. Save Me is also a very simple video but it's a one-shot with excellent camera-work and choreography as well. Fire is a really fun video with intense choreo and Mic Drop is also a strong hiphop song with strong choreo. Last Note: Hot the CC button on any of their MVs and you'll have english subtitles so you can understand the lyrics, if you want
Their music is very versatile in regards to genre, and some music videos and best highlight that are probably I Need U, Save Me, Spring Day, Mic Drop, and Blood, Sweat, & Tears. They have captions in all of them, btw! So you can know what they're singing about next time xx Getting into them can get a bit overwhelming, and the fans can be....um, intense. But they're really good. Also, don't try to put names to faces via hair color. They change their hair all the time. My advice, if you really enjoy them and want to know names to faces, is to separate them by rappers and vocalists. The rap line is only three of them, and the other four is the vocal line. Oh, and most of them have stage names on top of their real ones. For example, the one lying on all the snicker bars? His real name his Hoseok, and his stage name is J-Hope. Yikes, sorry for the long comment. Hope you enjoy the other videos you react to!! xx
Sooo... to understand much of anything other than the amazing dancing and aesthetics you have to watch their other music videos and a bunch of short films BTS has made. They all intertwine to tell an ongoing story. Even then a lot is intentionally left open to personal interpretation. One of the great things about BTS (and actually all of kpop) is there is no "one guy" or "favorite guy." They all share the spotlight equally and are all equally talented, although in different areas. Some are better lyricists, some better dancers, some rap and can't sing, others sing and can't rap. The point is that they come together to make this incredibly strong team where no member gets a big ego because they all rely on each other. To answer another of your questions, right now they are ages 21-26 approx. although when they debuted they were 15-20
How'd you find it? If you liked it, I suggest you check out their other music, too. :) Not Today, Fire, Dope, Mic Drop remix are hype songs. If you're into slower ones, try Save Me, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Spring Day. Those are my favorites. You can turn on the subs for each video for English captions. :)
Don't feel bad for not understanding the message behind it, it's actually quite deep and difficult to get because it has so much connection with their other music and videos
I think the videos you should watch are I Need u (original version), Blood Sweat and Tears, Spring Day, and Mic Drop Their ages from youngest to oldest are- Jungkook ( 2:51 )- 21, Taehyung (stage name V, 4:09 ) and Jimin ( 3:38 )- 22, Namjoon (stage name RM, also the group leader, 3:15 )- 23, Hoseok (stage name J- Hope, 3:24 )- 24, Yoongi (stage name Suga, 4:49 ) and Jin ( 2:27 ) - 25
It is a bit different in BTS than in other groups...there is no such thing as the most popular member, even the members themselves hate to hear sth like that. You can say everyone has their own field in which they shine in the group and I usually preferred by ppl who are drawn to those fields or personalities. Namjoon =RM - leader, great rapper, extremely smart and a caring leader Yoongi=Suga - rapper and producer of many songs, providing extremely raw and deep lyrics j-Hope - the mood setter rapper, the sunshine of the group and the arguably best dancer Jin - the vocal, the visual , the funny guy Jimmin - the vocal, the dancer , the "I m a literal angel" guy Taehyung - the visual, the actor, the deepest voice of the group Jungkoook - the main vocalist, the golden boy who excells in everything together they are..LEGENDS
Thanks for your real reaction. Actually, some of their music videos are connected to a huge story(concept). Maybe after you watch I Need U, Butterfly, RUN, WINGS Short Films, Blood sweat and tears, Love yourself Highlight Reel, Euphoria and FAKE LOVE trailer (I’m sorry there are so many videos), you can notice that many scenes of FAKE LOVE MV is connected something, it’s meaningful scene (Like the water, fire, chocolate pool’s scene). I love their music and got so much fun from their story (music videos). They are also famous of their dancing. Like MIC Drop, Not today, Fire, Dope, DNA, FAKE LOVE etc. Their music video’s transition is also awesome. If you are interested in it, I hope you can enjoy it. (Their music video had subtitles, you can open the captions. The lyrics is also nice.) Thanks for your reaction video. Sorry for my poor English lol.
One song to hype: not today A beautiful song: spring day A lot of MV are telling an ongoing story. The last one is fake love and the first one is I need you (+19 version). Then the prologue and run. (If you want to follow with the story next is Young forever. Then all the short films from wings album. Then boy meets evil, Blood sweat and tears. Then the highlight reel. Then Euphoria and finally it would be fake love) I think you'd love these videos and be hook with the story. But even know I still dont understand everything. There are a lot of theories and most MV has references about books When I discovered BTS I only wanted to learn their names and then you enter in a black hole. The one in the room that explode is Jin,the oldest one. The one in the burning room is Yoongi=suga The one in the room with water is Jimin. The one with snickers is J-jope. The first one rapping is RM = Namjoon The one running is Jungkook, the youngest one And the one with the phone is V = Taehyung Also, all MV has subtitles Just one more thing they are performing fake love tomorrow at the billboard and nominated for top social artist Sorry for the long coment :)
No CGI. 20-25 years old but they debuted in 2013 and were trainees before that. Fake Love can be understood as changing yourself, hiding yourself, to please someone else and realizing that that isn't real love. But it is probably best understood as loving yourself, being true to yourself, and learning to love the authentic you.
Thanks for reacting!! You’re right, there’s a lot to take in because BTS loves incorporating tons of symbolism in their body of work. If you would like to know the meaning behind their songs, please watch their music video in this order that reflects the progression of the story! :) I NEED U (19+ version) > On Stage: Prologue > RUN > Epilogue: Young Forever > WINGS short films > Blood Sweat and Tears > Love Yourself Highlight Reels Other than these, you should definitely watch MIC DROP, Not Today, and Dope too! Enjoy!!
*😭😭 loved your reaction! Pls react to more BTS! FYI a lot of their videos sort of link together creating sort of a story so that’s why sometimes a lot of new reactors to them are a bit confused or miss the symbolism and story in the music video❤️*
Hi Joe, this is my first time watching your videos. Thank you for having an open mind and checking out BTS and "Fake Love." Others might have already answered your questions, but just in case: BTS is not Kpop. They experiment with different genres and write and produce their own music. Their lyrics are relatable, and they talk about mental health, depression, struggles of youth, and it being ok to not have a dream as long as you are happy. Please rewatch "Fake Love" with the subtitles on. Everything BTS does has a meaning even the dance. The choreography at the end was inspired by the Three Wise Monkeys "See no evil, speak no evil, hear no evil." Can you see them covering their eyes, ears, and mouths? They are saying that if you're not true to yourself, the love you experience is fake. The only CGI are the petals floating. Jimin is actually standing there when the water is rushing down. Jungkook is really running for his life as the floor is falling (the set and backgrounds are real). The fire is real, but Suga is edited into the scene. Jhope is lying on all those Snickers (When he was a kid, his mom abandoned him and left him with a Snickers bar. It symbolizes his fear and pain. This is fictional! BTS music videos are connected and tell an intricate story.) Armys (our fandom name) don't have one favorite member. To be an Army, you have to love all seven members and once you get to know them, you'll see why. Each member is crazy talented, humble, and kind with an amazing personality. Armys are not just a bunch of screaming fan girls who like them for their looks. Many fans are in their 30s and 40s too. This shows their struggle to get to where they are now: ruclips.net/video/sMkRmnkI8kE/видео.html (They have a true underdog story and succeeded through determination and twelve hour practice days.) This video is a good introduction to each member: ruclips.net/video/D62PIbbNmXU/видео.html If you can, please check out their new album Love Yourself: Tear>> open.spotify.com/album/2jJfnAZE6IG3oYnUv2eCj4 3% of album sales goes to their UNICEF campaign to support youth and end violence. Thanks for taking the time to read my comment! Also, you have nice hair, and I think you like Jin's hair (he's the one in the room when things explode)
dang, did not expect this from you o.o I just want to quickly say that one of the things BTS are very famous for is their deep and complex videos, and how most of them are connected through an actual storyline (and a handful of theories). Not saying you have to watch them, but if you're interested in diving into the very deep, very dark fictional universe of BTS, here are just a few of the videos; -I Need U (there are two versions of this MV, the original one is more graphic.) -Prologue: On Stage -Run -Epilogue: Young Forever -Euphoria (-Fake Love) and then there's the 7 WINGS short films, which explains their characters more. But again, you definitely don't have to watch these if you're not really into BTS or this stuff. Thanks for this, at least! refreshing to see something new from you! :) keep it up, dude
Thank you for your reaction :) BTS debuted in 2013 but they were not that popular at this time. Since they won the Billboard Music Award for TopSocialArtist in May 2017 they are gaining more and more recognition worldwide, and they deserve it because they worked very hard to be where they are today. The group consists of 3 Rappers and 4 Vocalists: RM, JHope, Suga (Rappers) and Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, V. The youngest of them (Jungkook) is 20 and the oldest (Jin) is 25 years old. Also you can turn on the subtitels next time, so you can understand what they are saying:)) And their Fans are called 'ARMY'. Sorry if it was too much information:)
Jojo Music Kid, I understand why army has that reputation... Read well or you are not capable? How I'm jealous, salty or immature? You think they are the only ones who worked like that? There are actually 100 groups in kpop who did the same(or even worse) but you didn't even heard of them, not in just kpop but in the whole world! Yes, they made it, good for them but is not like they did it just because of the hard work or because their talent. You are living in your little world where just BTS exist? Oh please, come in the real world. I didn't even said something about them, I said a fact about the all artists from the whole world. I have more than 13 years in kpop, now comes an kid who tells me I'm immature hahahaha Just shut the fuck up and have some sense, you are really selfish if you don't the fact that I mentioned!
Ig I know but you said like this is the reason for their fame and is not completely true, there are many other groups. This is a cruel truth. Like I said, I was just saying a fact, is not a big deal.
not many groups were treated like complete trash by almost the entire kpop community, purply because they came from a small company and worked their way up, being one of the first to do so
They've had a story going on for about 4 years based on the novel demian and the short story Omelas by Ursula le Guin. Its basically an in-depth story about alternate universes and trading in your mistakes for a better future but things keep going wrong until they can face their mistakes, forgive themselves and learn to "love themselves" so fake love is about the love they give themselves everytime they trade in a mistake for redemption and true love is forgiveness.
I think watching their short film from album "wings " will help a lot, they trying to express their personal feelings and meditation towards the world as a young generation through their music and performance, that's the core of BTS (bulletproof boys scout/beyond the scene)
Nah fam, "Favorites" Are not a thing in BTS. We love and support all 7 of these angels. When you first see them, you might think they're some normal band, bit once you dig into their personalities, you understand why people of all ages and ethnicities love them (and celebrities also adore them AKA john cena fucking loves them lol). Trust me, before I knew who they were, I was so closed minded and ignorant, I thought they were some Chinese boy band (they're korean). But I dug into their amazing music, which all of BTS music have a beautiful message) and I watched their videos. I noticed they were quite different. The relationship they have with each other is amazing. It's real friendship. They are literally the kings of memes, and they are REALLY dorky. Not only are they all EXTREMELY talented, they're all so fucking beautiful. Their aesthetic is juts so pleasant I CAN'T. And you just can't compare them to any artist out there. They are the most humble and caring people, which was another reason I fell in love with them. Also, of you become an ARMY (their fans) just know that in Korean culture, it's normal for two boys to be touchy without it necessarily being "gay". So please keep that in mind. And it's okay if you think they're cute lmao. They have a lot of fanboys. I see most fanboys are Jimin stans (the guy with streaks on his hair. Or the one in where the water was falling in) And I honestly see why/ Most idols really love Jimin. He's just so charming and cute, how could you not love him? But please love all of them. It's okay to have a favorite as long as you love and support them all. SORRY FOR WRITING TOO MUCH. I'M OUT.
South Korean boy band BTS (Bangtan Boys/Bangtan Sonyeondan or "bulletproof boy scouts" in Korean) blend dance-oriented K-pop with hip-hop influences. They talk about important things such as mental issues, woman empowerment, school, society, our generation, equality, about achieving your dreams etc. Combining love ballads and rapping with topical lyrics, BTS connected with similarly aged fans and set themselves apart from the K-pop industrial machine. Formed by producer Bang Si Hyuk, BTS debuted in 2013 with the first installment of their "School Trilogy" series, 2 Cool 4 Skool. A few months later, they released part two of the saga, the EP O!RUL8,2? The group's final installment, Skool Luv Affair, was released around Valentine's Day in 2014. Later that year, BTS released their full-length debut album, Dark & Wild, featuring the single "Danger." As their fan base grew and international tours sold out, they released The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 1 in April 2015 and the follow-up, Pt. 2, some months later in November. They embarked on a massive world tour as The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Pt. 2 topped a record-setting six international music charts, including Billboard's World Albums chart. After four weeks, they set a record as the first K-pop act to achieve such a feat. The group continued to break records with the release of its sophomore LP, Wings. Released in late 2016, Wings not only became the first BTS effort to debut atop both the Korean album and song charts, but BTS also became just the third K-pop act to land in the Canadian Hot 100. However, the album's impact was most apparent on the Billboard charts. The best showing to date for a K-pop act, Wings debuted in the Top 30 of the Billboard 200 -- both their highest U.S. chart debut and most sales to date -- becoming the first K-pop artists with three albums to enter the main album charts (Wings became their sixth Top Three hit -- and second number one -- on the World Albums chart). They also became the first K-pop act to spend four weeks on the charts. Wings continued the artistic and creative growth for the septet, featuring seven solo tracks that showcased the personality of each member. Four months later, BTS re-released the album as You Never Walk Alone. The updated version added four new songs to the original Wings track listing, including the singles "Spring Day" and "Not Today." With their presence in the United States continuing to expand, the group went on to win the Top Social Artist Award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards. Their fifth EP, Love Yourself 'Her', arrived that September and became the first K-pop album to debut in the Billboard 200's Top Ten, entering the chart at number seven. BTS is from a small company that doesn't have any popular artists besides BTS. They were doubted, underestimated and belittled by other people telling they that they won't succeed but look at them now, they started out using their own staffs things (like cars) in their music videos and worked for almost two years with continuously having comebacks until they received their first win. But no one would have imagined that they'll blow up and reign the music charts with all kills, all of their track of the album charted winning a lot of awards which is probably due to their incredibly large international and national fan base. *To fully understand what I am trying to talk about, I suggest you react to BTS 'Nobodies to Legends' 2013-2017. BTS Dance Practices BTS What You Didn't Notice on Dance Practices BTS CRACKS BTS INTRODUCTION TO EACH MEMBERS (Squishy Min Yoongi's Channel) LIVE PERFORMANCES LEGENDARY FANCAMS BANGTAN BOMBS BTS has alot of meaning, in Korean they are called BANGTAN SONYEONDAN which translates to BULLETPROOF BOYSCOUTS. But the English meaning for BTS is BEYOND THE SCENE. And an inside joke on our fandom for the meaning of BTS which is "International Kpop Sensational Sunshine Rainbow Traditional Transfer USB Hub Shrimp BTS"
I was definitely not into Kpop nor do I like Western Pop. But BTS is its own niche in my personal taste which tends to be alternative and indie rock. Love them! Somehow I was converted into someone called a Kpop listeners...facepalm. They opened the door to try other Kpop bands...and I quickly SHUT that door. I like BTS and consider them my own genre💕
Hey! Hi! Saw this is in my recommends. Thank you for listening without prejudice ^-^ Perhaps the meaning of the MV is not that obvious, because it's connected to their previous works. They have a storyline that is happening since 2015. So yeah. You might want to check out their Blood Sweat and Tears + Wings MVs (kinda short-films). And honestly. There are too much going on, so I bet it's better to talk about this later, if you will enjoy them :) But yeah. I recommend to check out Spring Day and Run :3 They are my favorites so far.
I only know that one of their latest MV, DNA, cost hundreds of millions and uhhhh.... my god. They upload behind the scenes of all their MVs so you can check that out too if you're further interested how they do the effects etc! Just search those with "eng sub" ~
I like your honest reaction! I'm curious about your further reactions to their videos, so I'll subscribe to your channel. (Also for most of their videos there are english subtitles available - and if you look around on youtube you can find tons of theory videos to the storyline which has been connecting all their Music Videos through the past few years :) )
the story in this mv is a continuation of their overall story you have to watch their previous videos from the last two albums + the short films and the highlight reel and the first teaser of this mv shows how they exchanged their fears with 'fake happiness'
It IS connected to a story that goes alllll the way back for yeaaars, starting w the MV “I NEED U (19+)”. The song meaning by itself means (along with its new album Love Yourself: Tear) fake love lol. Which means not true to yourself, not being true to others. MOST BTS MVS HAVE CLOSED CAPTIONS ! Just click on CC on the bottom corner :)) - Maybe next reaction, since you don’t normally react to MVs, maybe you can react and listen to the whole Love Yourself: Tear, and search up lyric videos. BTW heads up, most of their songs have some kind of literary/myth/poetic reference that may confuse you unless you search it up or know it.
Also BTS has this thing with their music and MV's. Each mv since "I need u" has a story, so all of them are connected (another thing I find unique about them), creating a storyline. So this explains everything if you see long ass theories on Twitter referring to the storyline. It's a crazy puzzle.
"We wanted to discuss the sadness and the tears and the honesty of love because sometimes we turn away from certain situations in love and life. It’s not a fairy tale we always have a dark side and so we want to talk about this dark side." -RM (BTS Leader) Fake Love is about the dark side of love, If your not being true to yourself and who you are the love you have for others or for yourself is fake. here are some lyrics: for you I could pretend like I was happy when I was sad For you I could pretend like I was strong when I was hurt I wish love was perfect as love itself I wish all my weaknesses could be hidden I grew a flower that can’t be bloomed in a dream that can’t come true. Love you so bad, love you so bad Mold a pretty lie for you Love it’s so mad, love it’s so mad Try to erase myself and make me your doll _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ There is not one side to love. It’s not always the happiness and contentment that’s demonstrated in BTS' previous album Love Yourself: 承Her. This is what Bangtan’s focus is for this era. Despite factors of love seeming perfect, there is still elements to it that are darker. This side is often overlooked, but it still constitutes to love as a whole. Love cannot exist without the darker side of it. This painful side however causes people to distaste it because it is often sold as strictly a positive concept when it is in fact not. (taken from genius.com)
*For a person who isn't familiar to BTS, you should watch (in my opinion) the following BTS videos for a more holistic view of them:* - MIC DROP (Get their recent Hip Hop side) & DOPE (Get their younger Hip Hop/Pop side) - House of Cards or The Truth Untold (both showcase their vocal line--the vocalists of the group) - Cypher 4 or Outro:Tear (showcases their rap line) - Spring Day (emotional song) - Not Today (empowering) - Danger - Fire - Save Me - DNA & Blood, Sweat and Tears (their saturated pop/EDM side) - Boy in Luv (to get a feel of their choreo, I recommend watching the dance practice) BTS is known to vary their style and experience while producing quality songs/albums. They started very hip hop/rap and integrated to pop, r&b, harder sounds to ballads, saturated pop, EDM to more r&b/soul and then to a bit of latin *If you are interested to know a little more about them:* ------They DO NOT have 1 distinctive style. However, they seek to make each song have meaning with a message. ------There are 7 members (Jimin, RM, V, J-Hope, Suga, Jin and Jungkook) ------4 vocalist (Jimin, Jin, Jungkook and V) ------3 Rappers (Suga, RM and J-hope) *- They tend to follow a pattern with their albums:* -----A member introduces the theme of the album with a song that kicks it off. For example, their most recent album (Love Yourself:Tear) had V (A member of BTS) in Singularity (a R&B/soul song) ------Most of their songs are written by RM (rap monster, their leader who is part of the rap line) and Suga (also part of the rap-line) ------They balance choreography, singing and rapping in all of their songs

(Also ARMYs (BTS fans) correct me if i'm wrong on anything pls!)
The order to watch them is:
1. I Need U (Original Version!!) MV (Watch without CC) (There are 2 versions of this MV, but the "Original Version" is the one with the storyline, so pls watch that one and not the other one!!),
2. 화양연화 on stage: Prologue (Watch with ENG subs! No subs in official video so just look for the video title + "Eng subs" and you'll find a subbed version!)
3. Run MV (Watch without CC)
4. Young Forever MV (Watch with CC! There's CC in the official video!)
After this there's even more (Wings short films, Blood Sweat and Tears MV, Highlight Reels, Euphoria etc.), but since you said you're planning to react to 4/5 more videos these would be a good way to start.
Hi! I translated " Fake Love " on my channel, if you want to see it 💚
Everything on this video is real.
No CGI. And they have subtatiles
Pretty sure it was CG when the floor was collapsing ha, maybe I was mistaken
TheTrophyMunchers No actually it's was real they show us some the clip and how some scenes were made on a special spoilers video and the floor collapsing was 100% real like the fire, the water
TheTrophyMunchers no there really wasn't any CGI. the room with the falling floor was built for the music vidoe they showed it in behind the scene pictures
And sorry for my English I from Belgium
TheTrophyMunchers the floor falling wasent cgi it was a mechanical floor that split into 3 parts and dropped they showed in the making of vid
dude i'm so shook right now lmfao, this is the last thing i was expecting to see in my sub box from you o:
the oldest is 25 and the youngest is 20, but when they started the youngest was just 15!
although they make it Just ambiguous enough in most music videos for people who don't know them/casual fans to be confused on what it's about and still enjoy them, they've basically built an alternate universe for a majority of their music videos (+ extra things they've released) to take place in that contributes to an overarching story line, some more metaphorically in the visuals than literal and straightforward. it'd probably be your thing to watch through all the story related stuff, but it can be a lot to take on because there really is so much to it and it's very confusing.
either way, i'm happy you reacted to this and i will be happy if you react to them again in the future in some way [:
the youngest, Jungkook, was 13 when he joined BTS and 15 when he debut.. that is just crazy..... omg.
okay now you're definitely my favorite youtuber
moonlight omega. 😂😂😂😂😂 me to
moonlight omega. Yea
fun fact: they did NOT use any CGI
Even when the floor collapsed? ;)
TheTrophyMunchers yes even when the floor collapsed 😁😁😁
That’s so crazy!
yeah BTS rarely uses CGI, most of their sets are real
Yup, Jungkook was hanging from a wire while running.
This video is a continuation of a storyline that they have been doing for the past three yeard. If you ever want to follow the storyline preceeding Fake Love start with:

Hi! I translated that song on my channel, if you want to see it ♥!
What's more terrifying there's hints of the storyline in Danger from the previous year >_
Great reaction Joe.
Best and most concise explanation of BTS and BTS Universe that I have ever read.
pambarab thank you. I though a lot how to give him an overview about it without confusing him+ giving too much away. After all, even us are confused by the theories lmao
Thank u for the explanation
I have heard about them last year
But I never listened to their songs becoz I really thought k pop isn't me
But fake love music video still blows my mind and I m getting obsessed with him now slowly .
Priyanka Kannan I'm glad that you're enjoying them. Besides the MVs, there are dance practices, and then there is BangtanTV, which has a lot of different videos. Their main channel is ibighit. I hope this info will help you get to know the guys, and find out why we love them so much.
It really means a lot that you take your time to react to BTS so thank you😊
I literally was thinking if you would ever react to BTS and then this pops up...DO MY EYES DECEIVE ME????
I hope you fall into the rabbit hole that is BTS! lol :D
Blood sweat and tears, and Not Today. Two of the best
The mvs go in this order:
I need u (original version)
Prologue
Run
Epilogue: Young forever
Wings short films (there’s 7 of them)
Blood sweat and tears
Highlight reels
Of course you don’t have to react to them at all, it’s just a suggestion that I feel like you’ll enjoy bc there’s loads of theories surrounding these mvs that are very in-depth.
"he's my favorite" -> Jin is my FAVE TOO! He's the eldest !
Jhope is also golden, he does all of that too 💕💕💕💕
#JhopeGoldenHyung
I agree with that...jk is the golden boy ..
If you're looking for hype songs by BTS:
1.) Not Today
2.) Danger
3.) FIRE
4.) DNA
5.) Dope
If you're looking for beautiful songs:
1.) Save Me
2.) Butterfly
3.) The Truth Untold
4.) I Need U
5.) Young Forever
If you're looking for more aesthetic:
1.) Blood Sweat & Tears
2.) DNA
3.) Serendipity.
4.) Prologue
5.) All the short films for WINGS
What am I kidding? They're all hype, beautiful and aesthetic.
the production is higher than you thought? boyyy, bts vídeos are another level
BTS - blood sweat and tears! Production is sky high.
OMG I SO HAPPY sorry it's your first time watching them and your watching Fake Love I've been looking for this type of reaction.
They are extremely diverse in their music, their style ranges from hip hop and rnb to pop and EDM
There are 4 vocalists and 3 rappers.
Vocalists:
Jungkook
V
Jimin
Jin
Rappers:
RM
Suga
Jhope
Age range: 20-25.
Wow I am following you for a while now and you are reacting to BTS 👍
The MV is related to previous ones and they are following a storyline.
Anyway.. Enjoy💜
its actually a really long story
I need you (19+ version)

i guess this is almost the story line in order thats what i remember
songs you can react to and like i guess are:
fire
blood sweat and tears
Mic drop ft steve

i dont know if you watched with subs or not but all bts MVs have sub
also the members names are (stage name + year of birth):

JHOPE(94)
JIMIN(95)
V(95)
JUNGKOOK(97)
It's good to see a different type of reaction to something you don't usually react to, respect for that. BTS not really my style but they have a lot of fans so more power to you guys.
I have a feeling the rest of the ARMY will approve of you.
I'm glad you gave BTS a listen and were so open-minded about them! It's refreshing af
the storyline of this music video actually goes back like 3 years, it's a huge concept spanning over like 2 albums. they are all between 20 and 25 years old. they have a huge hand in the creative proces, production and writing of their music.
John Scott yes....❤️
They're 21-26 in Korean age, but internationally they're 20-25 😊 i had to check haha because i always mix up their korean ages with their international ones 😂
same ishhh... -_-
OMG!! I was waiting for that. THANK YOU❤❤
I really appreciate you reacting.
So you can know what they're singing about next time xx
Getting into them can get a bit overwhelming, and the fans can be....um, intense.
To answer another of your questions, right now they are ages 21-26 approx. although when they debuted they were 15-20
your way of thinking was wise . i loved this reaction
It’s my first time too
How'd you find it? If you liked it, I suggest you check out their other music, too. :) Not Today, Fire, Dope, Mic Drop remix are hype songs. If you're into slower ones, try Save Me, Blood Sweat and Tears, and Spring Day. Those are my favorites. You can turn on the subs for each video for English captions. :)
Ooh how'd you enjoy it?
Magel thanks 🙏
Anita Gautama I liked it
one of the best songs is mic drop
SKimsS yesssss
Ew no
YES
cvwm fuck off
Nah
Don't feel bad for not understanding the message behind it, it's actually quite deep and difficult to get because it has so much connection with their other music and videos
JOE , YAAAAAAAAAS
i'm so happy you reacted to them it was really unexpected x)
Yass react to more maybe:😂
Mic Drop remix
Fire
Best of me
and more lmao
React to Spring day and Blood sweat and tears and Mic drop !!!!!!!
Wow I didn't expect this!!! I always loved watching your reactions to tv shows.
I think the videos you should watch are I Need u (original version), Blood Sweat and Tears, Spring Day, and Mic Drop
Their ages from youngest to oldest are- Jungkook ( 2:51 )- 21, Taehyung (stage name V, 4:09 ) and Jimin ( 3:38 )- 22, Namjoon (stage name RM, also the group leader, 3:15 )- 23, Hoseok (stage name J- Hope, 3:24 )- 24, Yoongi (stage name Suga, 4:49 ) and Jin ( 2:27 ) - 25
Oms i never thought this would happen.
Lmao this was the last thing I expected but I LOVE IT!! AHH BTS my faves ugh I love them😁
And yes, there are no special effects in this MV, they shot everything.
React to FIRE, SAVE ME, NOT TODAY, MIC DROP AND DNA
It is a bit different in BTS than in other groups...there is no such thing as the most popular member, even the members themselves hate to hear sth like that. You can say everyone has their own field in which they shine in the group and I usually preferred by ppl who are drawn to those fields or personalities.
Namjoon =RM - leader, great rapper, extremely smart and a caring leader
Yoongi=Suga - rapper and producer of many songs, providing extremely raw and deep lyrics
j-Hope - the mood setter rapper, the sunshine of the group and the arguably best dancer
Jin - the vocal, the visual , the funny guy
Jimmin - the vocal, the dancer , the "I m a literal angel" guy
Taehyung - the visual, the actor, the deepest voice of the group
Jungkoook - the main vocalist, the golden boy who excells in everything
together they are..LEGENDS
Blood Sweat and Tears, DNA, Not Today, Mic Drop, Dope, Bulletproof pt. 2, Save Me, Spring Day, the list goes on forever lmao. Just watch them all. 😂😂😂
Didn't expect this from you, worlds collide "BOOM"! Lol, thanks for reacting :)
The lyrics is also nice.)
Thanks for your reaction video. Sorry for my poor English lol.
BTS Blood Sweat and Tears, Not Today, Spring Day, Fire, Dope, etc. They have so many great songs and MVs.
One song to hype: not today
A beautiful song: spring day
A lot of MV are telling an ongoing story. The last one is fake love and the first one is I need you (+19 version). Then the prologue and run.
(If you want to follow with the story next is Young forever. Then all the short films from wings album. Then boy meets evil, Blood sweat and tears. Then the highlight reel. Then Euphoria and finally it would be fake love)
I think you'd love these videos and be hook with the story. But even know I still dont understand everything. There are a lot of theories and most MV has references about books
When I discovered BTS I only wanted to learn their names and then you enter in a black hole.
The one in the room that explode is Jin,the oldest one.
The one in the burning room is Yoongi=suga
The one in the room with water is Jimin.
The one with snickers is J-jope.
The first one rapping is RM = Namjoon
The one running is Jungkook, the youngest one
And the one with the phone is V = Taehyung
Also,all MV has subtitles
Just one more thing they are performing fake love tomorrow at the billboard and nominated for top social artist
Sorry for the long coment :)
No CGI.
20-25 years old but they debuted in 2013 and were trainees before that.
Fake Love can be understood as changing yourself, hiding yourself, to please someone else and realizing that that isn't real love. But it is probably best understood as loving yourself, being true to yourself, and learning to love the authentic you.
i got so surprised because i just watched your 13rw s2 reaction and refresh the yt page and saw this bts video reaction wow
Thanks for reacting!! You’re right, there’s a lot to take in because BTS loves incorporating tons of symbolism in their body of work. If you would like to know the meaning behind their songs, please watch their music video in this order that reflects the progression of the story! :)
I NEED U (19+ version) > On Stage: Prologue > RUN > Epilogue: Young Forever > WINGS short films > Blood Sweat and Tears > Love Yourself Highlight Reels
Other than these, you should definitely watch MIC DROP, Not Today, and Dope too! Enjoy!!
singularity (highly recommended), mic drop, not today, blood sweat and tears, save me.
Omfg this is so unexpected both of my favorite people in one video
*😭😭 loved your reaction! Pls react to more BTS! FYI a lot of their videos sort of link together creating sort of a story so that’s why sometimes a lot of new reactors to them are a bit confused or miss the symbolism and story in the music video❤️*
Am I dreaming? Are you really reacting To them? I'm so happy I'm going to cryyyyyyyyy😭😭😭😭
Hi Joe, this is my first time watching your videos. Thank you for having an open mind and checking out BTS and "Fake Love." Others might have already answered your questions, but just in case:
BTS is not Kpop.
BTS music videos are connected and tell an intricate story.)
Armys (our fandom name) don't have one favorite member. To be an Army, you have to love all seven members and once you get to know them, you'll see why. Each member is crazy talented, humble, and kind with an amazing personality. Armys are not just a bunch of screaming fan girls who like them for their looks. Many fans are in their 30s and 40s too.
This shows their struggle to get to where they are now: ruclips.net/video/sMkRmnkI8kE/видео.html (They have a true underdog story and succeeded through determination and twelve hour practice days.)
This video is a good introduction to each member: ruclips.net/video/D62PIbbNmXU/видео.html
If you can, please check out their new album Love Yourself: Tear>> open.spotify.com/album/2jJfnAZE6IG3oYnUv2eCj4
3% of album sales goes to their UNICEF campaign to support youth and end violence.
Thanks for taking the time to read my comment! Also, you have nice hair, and I think you like Jin's hair (he's the one in the room when things explode)
4:50 YOONGI BIAS YEEES
Im really enjoying this slow drop into the rabbit hole.
fire, not today, dope, mic drop, dna --> best bts songs
dang, did not expect this from you o.o
I just want to quickly say that one of the things BTS are very famous for is their deep and complex videos, and how most of them are connected through an actual storyline (and a handful of theories). Not saying you have to watch them, but if you're interested in diving into the very deep, very dark fictional universe of BTS, here are just a few of the videos;
-I Need U (there are two versions of this MV, the original one is more graphic.)
-Prologue: On Stage
-Run
-Epilogue: Young Forever
-Euphoria
(-Fake Love)
and then there's the 7 WINGS short films, which explains their characters more. But again, you definitely don't have to watch these if you're not really into BTS or this stuff. Thanks for this, at least! refreshing to see something new from you! :) keep it up, dude
Tkanks for the reaction 😘
I would love to recommend, 'Save me', 'Best of me' as well
Thank you for your reaction :) BTS debuted in 2013 but they were not that popular at this time.
Also you can turn on the subtitels next time, so you can understand what they are saying:))
And their Fans are called 'ARMY'.
Sorry if it was too much information:)
If we have to talk about hard work then there are many talented artists from the entire world who deserve it, this is a cruel truth. Just saying.
Hades 88 I know that other artists exist who also work hard. But he reacted to BTS and not to another group so i told him some facts about BTS.
Early to mid 20's.....there's so much behind this song & MV...😱
I think watching their short film from album "wings " will help a lot, they trying to express their personal feelings and meditation towards the world as a young generation through their music and performance, that's the core of
BTS (bulletproof boys scout/beyond the scene)
You should do “Spring Day”, “DNA”, “ I need u” and “Save me”
Nah fam, "Favorites" Are not a thing in BTS. I'M OUT.
I never expected this from you omg thank you
BTS is know for using Practical Effects to create cool shots and their overarching story is quite intricate.
South Korean boy band BTS (Bangtan Boys/Bangtan Sonyeondan or "bulletproof boy scouts" in Korean) blend dance-oriented K-pop with hip-hop influences. They debuted on June 13, 2013 as a hiphop group but as time goes by they changed concept and tried different genre of music.

The group members also produce, compose, and write their lyrics themselves.
It's a video about how they worked hard to reach where they are now.*

BTS has alot of meaning, in Korean they are called BANGTAN SONYEONDAN which translates to BULLETPROOF BOYSCOUTS.
But the English meaning for BTS is BEYOND THE SCENE.
And an inside joke on our fandom for the meaning of BTS which is "International Kpop Sensational Sunshine Rainbow Traditional Transfer USB Hub Shrimp BTS"
You already I jams this song 24/7
I was definitely not into Kpop nor do I like Western Pop. But BTS is its own niche in my personal taste which tends to be alternative and indie rock. Love them! Somehow I was converted into someone called a Kpop listeners...facepalm. They opened the door to try other Kpop bands...and I quickly SHUT that door. I like BTS and consider them my own genre💕
Hey! Hi! Saw this is in my recommends. Thank you for listening without prejudice ^-^
Perhaps the meaning of the MV is not that obvious, because it's connected to their previous works.
Omg yesssss! Please react to Save Me! Also you might enjoy their dance practice videos. Their live performances are always amazing as well.
I only know that one of their latest MV, DNA, cost hundreds of millions and uhhhh.... my god. They upload behind the scenes of all their MVs so you can check that out too if you're further interested how they do the effects etc! Just search those with "eng sub" ~
thx for ur reaction❤️hope to see more
I like your honest reaction! I'm curious about your further reactions to their videos, so I'll subscribe to your channel. (Also for most of their videos there are english subtitles available - and if you look around on youtube you can find tons of theory videos to the storyline which has been connecting all their Music Videos through the past few years :) )
Oh this really was a very pleasant reaction, you are so nice
the story in this mv is a continuation of their overall story you have to watch their previous videos from the last two albums + the short films and the highlight reel and the first teaser of this mv shows how they exchanged their fears with 'fake happiness'
The floor thing wasnt cgi btw they confirmed it. BTS dont really use it that much. Even the places were real
You should react to their comeback stage to this, the production is also very good and it's normal for kpop MVs to have that kind of quality.
Just click on CC on the bottom corner :))
-
Maybe next reaction, since you don’t normally react to MVs, maybe you can react and listen to the whole Love Yourself: Tear, and search up lyric videos. BTW heads up, most of their songs have some kind of literary/myth/poetic reference that may confuse you unless you search it up or know it.
just so you know, the water the fire and the floor dropping are all real !!
Their best MVs are
Blood Sweat and Tears
Mic Drop

Fake Love
Also BTS has this thing with their music and MV's. Each mv since "I need u" has a story, so all of them are connected (another thing I find unique about them), creating a storyline. So this explains everything if you see long ass theories on Twitter referring to the storyline. It's a crazy puzzle.
"We wanted to discuss the sadness and the tears and the honesty of love because sometimes we turn away from certain situations in love and life. It’s not a fairy tale we always have a dark side and so we want to talk about this dark side." -RM
(BTS Leader)
Fake Love is about the dark side of love, If your not being true to yourself and who you are the love you have for others or for yourself is fake.
here are some lyrics:
for you I could pretend like I was happy when I was sad
For you I could pretend like I was strong when I was hurt
I wish love was perfect as love itself
I wish all my weaknesses could be hidden
I grew a flower that can’t be bloomed in a dream that can’t come true.
Love you so bad, love you so bad
Mold a pretty lie for you
Love it’s so mad, love it’s so mad
Try to erase myself and make me your doll

There is not one side to love.

*For a person who isn't familiar to BTS, you should watch (in my opinion) the following BTS videos for a more holistic view of them:*
- MIC DROP (Get their recent Hip Hop side) & DOPE (Get their younger Hip Hop/Pop side)
- House of Cards or The Truth Untold (both showcase their vocal line--the vocalists of the group)
- Cypher 4 or Outro:Tear (showcases their rap line)
- Spring Day (emotional song)
- Not Today (empowering)
- Danger
- Fire
- Save Me
- DNA & Blood, Sweat and Tears (their saturated pop/EDM side)
- Boy in Luv (to get a feel of their choreo, I recommend watching the dance practice)
BTS is known to vary their style and experience while producing quality songs/albums. They started very hip hop/rap and integrated to pop, r&b, harder sounds to ballads, saturated pop, EDM to more r&b/soul and then to a bit of latin
*If you are interested to know a little more about them:*
------They DO NOT have 1 distinctive style. However, they seek to make each song have meaning with a message.
------There are 7 members (Jimin, RM, V, J-Hope, Suga, Jin and Jungkook)
------4 vocalist (Jimin, Jin, Jungkook and V)
------3 Rappers (Suga, RM and J-hope)
*- They tend to follow a pattern with their albums:*
-----A member introduces the theme of the album with a song that kicks it off. For example, their most recent album (Love Yourself:Tear) had V (A member of BTS) in Singularity (a R&B/soul song)
------Most of their songs are written by RM (rap monster, their leader who is part of the rap line) and Suga (also part of the rap-line)
------They balance choreography, singing and rapping in all of their songs
