Great video! I started collecting laserdiscs and VHS back in January for a retro movie room I made with a projector and 100" screen. I have almost 500 laserdisc titles now. I've really been enjoying the experience learning about this format that I couldn't afford back in the 90's being in my late teens. There's so many unique titles like The Best of the Grammy's Vol 1 and 2 that I love just for the archived video of special events. Keep up the great work bringing us these videos and your insight!
Thanks for watching! Glad to hear you're enjoying the laserdisc journey so far! Yeah, there's an amazing amount of interesting titles out there flying under the radar. I should make a video about the random quirks of the market. Years ago, a film like RAD or The Wizard would've fallen in value on LaserDisc once a Blu-Ray release came out. But now, it doesn't really matter as long as the film still has a following and/or a cool factor.
@Culturedog Tank Girl is another interesting case. The newest bluray seems out of print and goes for a lot but the LD (with great cover art) is still pretty cheap.

Yeah, I've upgraded this title a few times (DVD, Blu...) but still appreciate having it on LD. Lots of great memories spinning my OG copy! Hope you trip across a reasonably priced copy of the 4K!
Very interesting. Warners rarely seemed to do many re-issues for AC-3 Dolby Digital, unlike some of other studios, at least according to LDDb. Big Warner Bros movies like Lethal Weapon, Superman, & The Fugitive have no documented AC-3 reissues. I'm always thinking in the back of my head that there's a possibility that LDDb likely doesn't have every major release documented. Always a sliver of a chance something exists that's not on there.
Yeah, they seemed to put out AC-3 reissues of random catalog titles in small pressing quantities. Japan did get an AC-3 box set with uncut versions of the first 3 Lethal Weapons, but it's another fairly pricy later release. It's definitely interesting to find out how many discs are still missing from LDDb. Not so much for U.S. discs, but there's a ton of Southeast Asia releases that keep getting discovered.
