I'm surprised noone has uploaded the Channel 4 series which was aired in 1991 called "Classic Cars", I've searched youtube but no sign of it. It was narrated by a series of well know personalities, one of which was ian Holm and focused in one ep on the classic car boom of the early 90s. Odd that there's no upload on youtube, unless youtube are removing them under some ridiculous copyright nonsense. I have mostly every episode of the series.
to say whittle fell out with rover is an understatement! as stanly hooker said had rolls got hold of the project instead to build jets they could have been flying by 1941! nice old cars though :) curious though how small gas turbines that cost millions and how rover made an efficient one that was 2x the cost of a piston engine!
Shame how Rovers fate ended 😭 I still adore my old 2000 cc Rover saloon
my grandfather had a P4 I always remember the smell of leather and woodwork it was a shame he sold it he ended up getting an austin maxi

Rover built a v12 prototype in '62
