Man does anyone like Stone Ocean? This is the only part that actually made me feel scared for the characters, it's a thrilling struggle that has some really interesting stands. Also, Jolyne best girl and Jojo.
I've only watched parts 1, 2 and 5, but I've read all of them, and I can't say I hate Stone Ocean as much as everyone says I should. It's a solid 4th place for me, after Steel Ball Run, Golden Wind and JoJolion
I think there's a lot of stigma for part 6 since it kinda retconned part 3 with the whole "HEABAN" stuff, the location hardly changed throughout the part, a lot of the stands weren't very cool or just had weird uninteresting fights (damn you Dragons Dream!), it was the ending to the original universe and many fans were probably mad at Jotaro's death and the fact that fucking Emporio of all people was the one to finish off Pucci. That being said I still really like part 6 and can't wait for the anime

I wish I would’ve known this. I legit would quit it and go entire weeks without coming back to it because I got so bored with it. Meanwhile I was thinking I was missing something because of how popular it was. The ending was great though

@@nueveswordstyle3413 It’s just a slight edge on part 4. Ig mainly because Jolyne gets a little more screen-time and development than Josuke, and Pucci is often more effective and intimidating in his fights than Kira. It could also be just because I was more invested in JoJo by that point though.

Caden Eaker no but even the mistakes that happen happened in Joseph favor like the (blocking kars attack with the red stone causing a volcano to erupt, causing his hand to launch in kars throat sending him to space, and surviving a fall from orbit.) that is much more of an asspull than giorno or jotaro ever did.
Edgy CuckBoi it’s not though. The show said “his body moved on it’s own” and that happens a lot to people who are trained. His mind couldn’t comprehend what he was doing but his body could. I’ve been taking up martial arts since I was 6 and I can confirm that does really happen quite often. Your body just knows what to do. That is nowhere near an asspull like Jotaro
Asian Debris well Joseph is ok. I just prefer Johnny because he’s sarcastic and cheeky, whereas gyro is goofy and headstrong, meaning they complement each other well. Idk I think someone like jolyne is like Joseph but better, as Joseph is cunning but not much else, whereas jolyne has a lot of different personality traits going on. He’s one of the better jojos but not the best for me anyway.

Hamon Doesn't Work On Serial Killers, Or Mafia Bosses, Or Weird Priests, Or Presidents, Or A Fucking Stand That Ruins Your Life. Also hamon didn't have enough time to be taught in part 3, combined with joseph not even being that good at using hamon. Kinda Like Civil War, it doesn't make sense.

First off, until the alternate universe JoJo's went through little character development in there own part (Jotaro and Joseph both developed over the course of multiple parts). Johnny morally gray actions and character development make him my favourite. Gappy not far behind going through an insane amount of self discovery. After that I feel for the most park Araki's writing and characters feel more real and fun in each part. Overall, my favourite villain is Kira because of how real he feels.

Part 4 was like the part 3 "stand of the week" formula only the characters actually develop and grow from their mistakes. That being said I still like part 3 more. (Part 2 is the best overall tho)
well considering part 4 was made on the blood of part 3 because the part 3 anime was intentionally drawn out becuase they were not sure it would be profitable enough to warrant making part 4. If you read the manga, it's easily the shortest part bar part 1 and 2 for obvious reasons. When you watch the anime, you can tell it feels slow in a lot of parts becuase it was meant to be that way. Plenty of stand battles could've been one episode instead of two. In terms of length, part 3 really could have been cut in half almost with only 30 episodes rather than 48.
@@ahnafahmed4951 I've read all the Manga, The anime follows it pretty closely. So I don't exactly see how it was intentionally drawn out. If anything, I'm surprised they fit so much into so little episodes. DIOs arc fight was a good 10 chapters or so alone, and they fit that and the ending into only 3 episodes
Something I love about Steel Ball Run that I don't see brought up much is how the focus changes from Gyro to Johnny gradually. Early on you could easily call Gyro the main character with him getting fleshed out much earlier. However Johnny's subtle character development catches up and he shines during the later stages.
It goes further than that .Gyro was even introduced earlier than Johnny ,and the first chapter had his name as a title . Johnny really started to slowly get attention after getting Tusk , and his development skyrocketed when he got act 2. This whole thing goes to show how Johnny was the most flawed jojo we had so far and he wasn't even deserving of being the MC in the beginning. The more he developed as a person, the more of a main character he was starting to become . Part 7 was perfect
As much as each person has their own tastes, it seems as though NEARLY EVERYONE absolutely loves part 7, SBR, ive only read the first few chapters but everyone and their granny's cat seem to say SBR is one of if not the best part, in a few years the anime will be here so i hope it lives up to these high expectations, but these are just my experiences and thoughts

Honestly I'm not surprised about part 3 placement at all. What I'm surprised about it part 6 placement. That's one of my favourite parts after Part 7 & 5! Very surprised about part 5 placement too. I'd say pt7 and pt5 are tied for number one for me. Pt6 is 2. pt4 is 3. pt2 is 4 and pt3 is 5, with PB being last.
Honestly, I really love Phantom Blood, it's cause of characters like Will Zeppeli or Bruford that are signs that you don't always need a ton of depth or screen time to make a character enjoyable and convincing. It's by no means my favorite part (DIU or SBR), but, i will always love PB
Phantom Blood took me some time to watch JBA until part 2 battle Tendency. . .part 2 is the reason why i continuously watch JBA it's the best part for me and star crusader
Here's my favorite to least favorite. Mine is a bit weird because I haven't started reading 7 yet despite keeping up with 8. 4 - Best Villain, setting and general cast. Loved the relatively low stakes of this one. This is where stands become really interesting. 2 - Best JoJo, best pacing and it really laid out the groundwork for how battles would be structured going. Every fight with Whamuu is amazing. 8 - Lots of potential. It could go a number of ways but I'm loving it. Mamezuku is a contender for best Jobro despite his relatively limited screentime. 6 - Has perhaps the 2nd or 3rd best JoJo and one of the better main villains even if things get a bit messy towards the end. 5 - A better Part 3 essentially. This has some of the best fights in the series like with Grateful Dead and Beach Boy or the one with White Album. Bruno and Mista are some of the best characters in the series. La Squadra houses some of the best minor villains though the part has one of the weaker main villains for me sadly despite how crazy King Crimson is. Some characters feel like missed opportunities and could've used more screentime like with Fugo, Trish, and Narancia. Gold Experience is stupidly overpowered even without requiem. The way Giorno uses the snake at the end of the Illuso fight is hands down one of the dumbest moments in the entire series. 3 - Solid but nearly every other part outshines this in nearly every way. The formula gets a bit boring at times. Avdol, Kakyoin, and Iggy are kind of underused and Jotaro feels a bit like a Deus Ex Machina at times. Most of the fights towards the end are really solid though. 1 - Enjoyable but not that great. Dio pretty much carries this entire part.

I find most of the parts to be pretty standalone outside of some setup which each part explains pretty well so skipping parts doesn't really bug me at all and I never found myself confused because of it. Especially with the alternate universe parts. I'll get to 7 soon enough. Just not in the mood to read it yet.

My rank was -Part 1: 7/10 -Part 2: 8/10 -Part 3: 9/10 -Part 4: 8/10 -Part 5: 9/10 It's my personal rank so it's okay if it didn't make sense(i didn't read part 6-8 so i don't rank them) My review -Part 1: it was Fun, it introduce many things that will be important in the next part like the Joestars bloodline and the one that Doesn't like the Stone mask, and Hamon it also introduced dio which is my favourite JoJo(don't ask) -Part 2: masterpiece, I like Everything about it, Joseph was my 2nd favourite Character since he's the only Joestar that Could make me Laugh, Kars was also interesting, he was More Cunning than Dio was - Part 3: i ranked it higher than part 2 just because it was the first JoJo that i watch, i like Jotaro but he's kinda *e d g y* but still Cool, it also introduce 'Stand' which was one of the best part about JoJo, Also Dio's Return -Part 4: Just like part 2 this part was Amazing, Josuke was fun as a Character, this part also explain the Origins of stand!, I also like Kira, he wasn't really a bad person it's just his hand Obsession -Part 5: Just like part 5 it was Great, Diavolo was a Great villian too.
Part 1 was really good. I do admit it was pretty standard compared to other jojo parts . But if you look at it separately you see that it was a decent show.
Personally, my rankings go Part 7 > Part 6 > Part 5 > Kira in Part 4 > Part 8 > Part 2 > Part 3 > Part 1 > Most of Part 4 Not really a fan of Slice of Life stuff, but Kira's great.
Honestly I feel the same about Part 4... I loved all the Kira bits and wish there was more but we had a lot of fucking around which isnt a bad thing but its just not my thing
idk something just did not hit right for me when reading sbr. in my ideal list I would have 7 and 5 swapped because I felt way more intrigued because every battle was one to the death and the setting of ital was absolutely phenomenal
when i read Stone ocean i was inlove with Jolyne, she's arguably the best jojo in terms of WILL POWER but in the end it left me speechless. idk how i feel about it. she went through a lot and i wanted to see a jotaro/ jolyne moment and talk, but the alternate universe thing didn't sit right with me. its like i know these people but i don't know em.
Honestly part 2 is my favorite the story was amazing and the fights were amazing (though the info was over whelming though that's evey anime and jojo ever in general) the characters were great joseph is by far my favorite jojo he was young and immature leading to actual improvement of the character to learn his abilities unlike every other part especially crusader to where jotaro just knew how to use his stan the whole time.
Even though JoJolion isn't finished, it's already by far my favorite. The same happened with part 5, I loved it so much even though it wasn't finished yet. Then the ending happened, and it fell down to maybe my 3rd ranked part lol.
After reading multiple theories on Reddit, I have come to reason that Kira is the villain of JoJolion. While he may be a counterpart of the main protag, there are moments where you can notice Kira's feelings dominate, especially in chapter 93. Gappy feels the urge to do anything just to save Holly, even if it means killing off those who get in his way (i.e. Damo and his gang). In 93, Gappy's feelings for Holly are overtly noticable. I've hypothesized that Gappy is Part 8's villain; he has the willingness to slaughter the doctors who planned on mass-producing the Rokakaka (to treat people with seemingly untreatable illnesses and injuries) in order to get what he wants, which is to cure his mother's disease.
As someone who has only watched the anime I would say 5. Phantom blood- good enough 4. Battle tendency- fantastic 3. Diamond is unbreakable- slightly better than battle tendency so still amazing And I can’t decide between stardust crusaders and golden wind for the number 1 spot
I’ve only watched the anime so far, but for sure am gonna read the manga soon, but for me battle tendency is criminally underrated I loved it a lot, it’s what originally got me into jojo. I thought part 3 was meh, DIB is probably my favorite though I loved the characters in it and really liked Josuke a lot and the bonds he made with other characters felt meaningful because they persisted throughout the whole part. I liked part 5 a lot , but Giorno was a little boring I mainly enjoyed it for bucciarati’s crew and the interactions they had. I wish that we could have stardust crusaders characters with the writing of golden wind I would be so happy BC stardust crusaders had my favorite characters so far, especially jotaro and polnareff, loved the video 💕
The so called "problem" of part 5 is that Giorno didn't have that much of screen time, but I think it's better because all members of Bucciarati's team had their stories explained along with Giorno and this is personally one of the best things in Part 5, since the main villain is obsessed with "killing" the past, everyone of the main cast and also his past gets theirs explained I hope you understand, I'm not that good in english since I'm italian (and this is also why I love Part 5, since Italy is ZE BEST COUNTRY IN ZE WORLD!)

It’s kinda hard to rank, they’re all good. My favourite part is Vento Aureo though, and I’m really enjoying JoJolion. Joseph will always be my fave protagonist though, unless Josuke does something amazing in the next few chapters.
@@GambleMontessori That's a valid point. As someone who didn't have a great father figure growing up, I largely look up to Jonathan, and somewhat idolize him as what a man should be, which is really why I love part one so much
Mango Riko like I said, the biggest reason I like it is because I like Jonathan. Sure Joseph is funny, but I hate how unhonarable he is, and that kills the character for me, and drops part 2 down to my lower rankings. I also prefer the more old time setting of part 1. I don’t know why you say it does everything better when they are so different, it’s like saying an apple does everything better than an orange, makes no sense!

There's more comedy to break of the stagnant dark tones. Compared to Jonathan's one dimensional character. The walls of texts that were the "fights" and the dark medieval setting(tho this is just personal preference) I just can't see part 1 as anything but inferior to part 2. Though I still respect your opinion.

valid opinion. i would say stone ocean is close to steel ball run but steel ball run is just slightly better in terms of writing wise, it also has some good fights and arcs.
Wamuu is nice, even tho his "I am not sentimental"-schtick is annoying at times, esidisi is whatever, Kars sucks in my eyes even tho he had potential to be great, santana is wasted beyond belief and Straizo was killed off way too quickly. So between 5 antargonists/villains, we had half an enjoyable personality. Even Dio beats that and he was literally written as evil from birth.

I like all of the parts, but I definitely like some more than others if I were to rank them: #8 Phantom Blood #7 Stone Ocean #6 Diamond is Unbreakable #5 Battle Tendency #4 Stardust Crusaders #3 Golden Wind #2 Jojolion #1 Steel Ball Run Phantom Blood was fine, but just a little dull and kind of a slog to get through. Stone Ocean was much more interesting than Phantom Blood, but I thought the minor villain's stands got fairly convoluted and made for some weird fights, and I thought the main villain was pretty average as far as the series villains go. I also dislike how underdeveloped several members of the main cast are and the ending just felt rushed to me. I like Diamonds is Unbreakable. I think Josuke, Okyuasu and Koichi are some of the best characters in the series and Kira is one of the best villains. I'm just not a fan of slice of life, so as good as the second half of it is for me, its bogged down by the first half. Battle Tendency was super enjoyable. Joseph and Caesar are two of my favorite characters in the franchise and I think the dynamic they have with each other is just wonderful. The story is interesting, characters have character growth and Whamuu. I know it's not for everyone but I really enjoy the format of Stardust Crusaders. I liked the stand battles, I like the character interactions, and most importantly I liked getting payoff for watching part one. Golden Wind takes everything that I liked about Stardust Crusaders and does it better. I feel like Jojolion is DiU at its best. It's full of mystery and interesting characters with more interesting stands. It also helps that Gappy is my second favorite Jojo. Steel Ball Run is the peak of the series. It has my favorite JoJo, JoBro, and Jofoe. It's plot is great, it's characters get real development, and It has my favorite stands in the whole series. Like said in the video, it really is Araki's Magnum opus.

Ironically the setting is what makes me like Stone Ocean. Not specifically that it's a prison, but that the characters stay in one place and we as the audience can actually become familiar with a location for once
honestly. most people hate the prison setting because stand fights are "restricted" and they said it's boring. but that is actually what makes it different from other parts. this ain't a stardust crusader where yall fight in an open area in a desert or some shit. this is about someone trying to breakout from a prison in order to defeat someone. 💀 man, even the viviano westwood fight in prison still one of the best fights in jojo.
I agree with you regarding battle tendency, one of the funniest parts to read for me as well. Regarding stone ocean, I enjoyed it a lot when reading it for the first time. Maybe it's because I don't dislike the prision setting as much as you do, but I liked a lot the main cast, the fights were also very, very good and I think I would put it above Part 3 at the very least. *1: Stardust crusaders* I must say I greatly disagree with what you said regarding Part 3, the fact that we got so many innocent moments is what to me made thr part so memorable and actually played a huge role in making the finally so tragic and incredible. It also serves to be what the remaining crusaders remembers most when thinking about the trip always talking about “how great of a trip it was” DIO was the sole drive but that the characters had moments of respite where the world was just fun little moments or talking about different cultures really sells the idea of these men spending so much time together really getting to know eachother and care for eachother. Also the point about being an enemy in every episode felling repetitive I think has to be blamed on the way we percieve the trip. Every other part also has a new stand user ever episode to challenge the heroes but the difference between part 3 and the others is that they are always on the move so the setting changes along with the enemies making it stand out (just my personal theory) *2: Part 5* Just a great part overall, amazing villain and stand ability, great setting amazing group. Just solid overall. *3: Part 2* Its just great. Best Jojo imo. Funniest wackiest group of villains, nazi’s! Its just a fun short part. *4: Part 6* I actually greatly enjoyed part 6. Jolyne is one of my favourite jojo’s and the characters and the story is memorable aswell as the stand fights. *5: Part 7* I did wanna put it much higher as its clear that Araki has grown in writing capability specifically with Gyro and Johnny’s friendship really feeling realistic. Main villain is also funny. But I do think the ending really hurts this part. It just feels so unfulfilling on so many things and also really drops the pacing after The Valentine fight. Would have put it much higher if the payoff was better. *6: Part 4* Great part. Again really like it but the slow pacing of the 1/3 of the part really bores me. The lack of a main goal really hurts the part I think. Its only after Kira is introduced that the plot truly begins imo. But after that it is just an amazing part. *7: Part 1* Pretty much what you said is my view on this part aswell *8: Part 8* Are only a few chapters in so I might change the ranking once I get further in.
Davin Rucker Yeah, sorry. Johnny felt like a side character that was sidetracked. I guess I was expecting Lucy and him to get together at the end due to Part 1. Which I guess kinda added to my disappointment. I think Valentine getting defeated so far from the end was weird and stupid. Watching Diego use The world was awesome and it was great to get a final Brando/Joestar showdown for old times sake but It should have been a penultimate fight. Valentine: Great villain, criminally underutilized. I didnt like how Johnny’s entire motivitation is build on a self serving goal of being able to walk again. There was no grander purpose like not allowing a singular country to posess a holy corpse. Also while Diego being defeated by Lucy was unexpected and kind of cool, it once again really Robbed Johnny as a character.
@@hitrapperandartistdababy part 7 has two protagonists, both Gyro and Johnny are the protagonists. Also there is another fight with Diego because Araki didn’t want the same situation he had with GER, because GER is a Deus ex machina because he only has one fight and has no weakness, so he gave TUSK4 2 fight and showed a possible way to counter it. Also valentine’s fight doesn’t end in the love train ark, it ends once Diego is dead, because Diego was his last bid for the corpse parts.
Golden Wind is my favorite, Battle Tendency was my second favorite, and Diamond is Unbreakable is my third favorite. Also I thought I was the only one who did not like Stardust Crusaders. I love the characters but the pacing was terrible and it dragged on. The last fight with Dio was the best part of the series.

I think because he is facing infinitely stronger opponents. He's smart, scrappy, and even stupid lucky. He isn't necessarily OP and his personality is flawed in ways that makes his shortcomings entirely of his own volition. That's my take atleast.

Joesph was fun to watch because of how out of his depth he was. He didn't power through, he couldn't. I'd argue a Gary Stu "finds the power" while Joseph eeked out a W using by any means necessary.

Stardust Crusaders: Too slow and unnecessary scenes, but if you read the "over heaven" novel (dios diary), you learn a lot more about part 3 and get to see another POV than the main cast one. You get to see the behind-the-scenes stuff If you wanna say so 4. Jojolion: Ending was kinda nice, deserved spot 3. Diamond is Unbreakable: Yoshikage Kira should have been implemented in the storyline a few episodes earlier to build up tension 2. Golden Wind: Italy portrayed in all its glory and its just so awesome and nice to watch. Every episode was enjoyable and the only negative thing is diavolo being only introduced halfway through. 1. Steel Ball Run: Its perfect in any way and is a well deserved Nr. 2 in my All-Time favorite Manga. I had so much more fun reading it than any other part and arakis art was just peak during that time
I finished reading parts 1 through 7 in a single year and went back on them several times. And here's are my rankings 8. Phantom Blood. Honestly it wasn't as bad as most people made it out and I finished it in under 2 days though the pacing is really weird. 7. Battle Tendency. I'm probably in the minority on this one since I didn't found it as in treating as the other parts but I really did enjoy Joseph. 6. Stardust Crusaders. I really enjoyed the main cast and I liked how the stands where introduced. Though the pacing can feel a bit sluggish. 5. Stone Ocean. I actually found this part to be overlooked since it contains some of my favorite characters, battles, and I enjoyed the second hafh. Not so much as the first Hafh. 4. Jojolion. I've haven't chached up to the latest chapters but I did like the mystery and learning about the other characters. 3. Vento Areo. I really like the fast pace action, and while there where a few things that a noted me I really enjoyed this part a lot. 2. Dimond is Unbrakable. It features a lot of my favorite characters. And I liked the setting in Morioh, and I also like the slice of life stuff. 1. Steel Ball Run. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one, but this part was just full of surprises that I couldn't stop reading it. Overall I really enjoyed this series👍

I literally have my rankings from worst to best as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I like Giorno a lot but can understand your criticism. part2 is on the lower end for me because of Ceaser while initially, I loved him as I mulled it over his purpose just felt flat as time went on. Mainly because araki stated Ceaser was supposed to represent a more brother like bond that he tried to get with William but felt he miss. This is fine but at the same time, I still felt like it missed the mark simply because he felt too similar to Joseph with only small differences to set them apart. I would have much more preferred he had calm and cool demeanor to contrast from josephs bombastic personality. Also, Lisa Lisa felt really underused imo with her never really getting a proper face of against kars and only dealing with fodder. Dont get me wrong I still enjoyed it just in grand scheme of the series to me it felt weaker than future parts

Watching phantom blood for the first time and seeing Dio shooting Jonathan with his eye beams, I was so used to in anime the main characters getting the win against the main villain in the end and surviving (DBZ and Naruto) that when it showed Jonathan’s death date I paused the TV for a moment almost in tears cause Jonathan is tied for my favorite jojo along with Josuke.

The thing I didn't like about Battle tendency were the characters. I mean Joseph is my favorite Jojo's character, but the rest of the cast felt really bland and I think that the characters are what make Jojo's what it is, not the story, so that's why I feel it gets a lot of hate. I still like it more than part 1.

I loved season 1. People will talk smack about it being “generic” and whatnot without realising that opinion on itself became generic. Hamon was a great battle system and there were many interesting uses for it, as shown in season 2. Jonathan is a cool character because although simple he is a formula that works. If he hadn’t worked many of us would not have continued to watch the series to arrive at what it became later on. Jonathan was likeable because he represented a pure spirit on harsh times, making sacrifices for the greater good. Young Joseph was likeable because he appeared to be a self insert at first but later on the same episode showed his own face by taking unexpected actions and threw people off guard as he always does. The first 2 seasons had the bizarre element of JoJo because they are where it came from and it was all a LOT more grounded than now and a lot more believable. Hamon being able to serve as controlled electricity and having interactions with the world around is awesome. It’s not like: “Hey btw we’ll GIVE you this power and it can break the laws of nature by stopping time or straight up resetting the whole thing. Bye byeeee!” And people treat it like it’s any different from any harem anime with an op edgelord as protagonist. Season 4 is way better than 3, 5 and 6 I’ll agree and better than 1 by a little bit but that’s as much as I’ll take it. Season 2 is the champ and shall forever be in my eyes.

I've only watched parts 1, 2 and 5, but I've read all of them, and I can't say I hate Stone Ocean as much as everyone says I should. It's a solid 4th place for me, after Steel Ball Run, Golden Wind and JoJolion
I think there's a lot of stigma for part 6 since it kinda retconned part 3 with the whole "HEABAN" stuff, the location hardly changed throughout the part, a lot of the stands weren't very cool or just had weird uninteresting fights (damn you Dragons Dream!), it was the ending to the original universe and many fans were probably mad at Jotaro's death and the fact that fucking Emporio of all people was the one to finish off Pucci. That being said I still really like part 6 and can't wait for the anime

Asian Debris well Joseph is ok. I just prefer Johnny because he’s sarcastic and cheeky, whereas gyro is goofy and headstrong, meaning they complement each other well. Idk I think someone like jolyne is like Joseph but better, as Joseph is cunning but not much else, whereas jolyne has a lot of different personality traits going on. He’s one of the better jojos but not the best for me anyway.

So I can explain a bit too. First off, until the alternate universe JoJo's went through little character development in there own part (Jotaro and Joseph both developed over the course of multiple parts). Johnny morally gray actions and character development make him my favourite. Gappy not far behind going through an insane amount of self discovery. After that I feel for the most park Araki's writing and characters feel more real and fun in each part. Overall, my favourite villain is Kira because of how real he feels.

Part 4 was like the part 3 "stand of the week" formula only the characters actually develop and grow from their mistakes. That being said I still like part 3 more. (Part 2 is the best overall tho)

well considering part 4 was made on the blood of part 3 because the part 3 anime was intentionally drawn out becuase they were not sure it would be profitable enough to warrant making part 4. If you read the manga, it's easily the shortest part bar part 1 and 2 for obvious reasons. When you watch the anime, you can tell it feels slow in a lot of parts becuase it was meant to be that way. Plenty of stand battles could've been one episode instead of two. In terms of length, part 3 really could have been cut in half almost with only 30 episodes rather than 48.
@@ahnafahmed4951 I've read all the Manga, The anime follows it pretty closely. So I don't exactly see how it was intentionally drawn out. If anything, I'm surprised they fit so much into so little episodes. DIOs arc fight was a good 10 chapters or so alone, and they fit that and the ending into only 3 episodes
Something I love about Steel Ball Run that I don't see brought up much is how the focus changes from Gyro to Johnny gradually. Early on you could easily call Gyro the main character with him getting fleshed out much earlier. However Johnny's subtle character development catches up and he shines during the later stages.
It goes further than that .Gyro was even introduced earlier than Johnny ,and the first chapter had his name as a title . Johnny really started to slowly get attention after getting Tusk , and his development skyrocketed when he got act 2. This whole thing goes to show how Johnny was the most flawed jojo we had so far and he wasn't even deserving of being the MC in the beginning. The more he developed as a person, the more of a main character he was starting to become . Part 7 was perfect

As much as each person has their own tastes, it seems as though NEARLY EVERYONE absolutely loves part 7, SBR, ive only read the first few chapters but everyone and their granny's cat seem to say SBR is one of if not the best part, in a few years the anime will be here so i hope it lives up to these high expectations, but these are just my experiences and thoughts

Honestly I'm not surprised about part 3 placement at all. What I'm surprised about it part 6 placement. That's one of my favourite parts after Part 7 & 5! Very surprised about part 5 placement too.
I'd say pt7 and pt5 are tied for number one for me. Pt6 is 2. pt4 is 3. pt2 is 4 and pt3 is 5, with PB being last.
Thats the great thing about jojo everyones favourite parts are so varied, with maybe 7 being the exception.

Here's my favorite to least favorite. Mine is a bit weird because I haven't started reading 7 yet despite keeping up with 8.
4 - Best Villain, setting and general cast. Loved the relatively low stakes of this one. This is where stands become really interesting.
2 - Best JoJo, best pacing and it really laid out the groundwork for how battles would be structured going. Every fight with Whamuu is amazing.
8 - Lots of potential. It could go a number of ways but I'm loving it. Mamezuku is a contender for best Jobro despite his relatively limited screentime.
6 - Has perhaps the 2nd or 3rd best JoJo and one of the better main villains even if things get a bit messy towards the end.
5 - A better Part 3 essentially. This has some of the best fights in the series like with Grateful Dead and Beach Boy or the one with White Album. Bruno and Mista are some of the best characters in the series. La Squadra houses some of the best minor villains though the part has one of the weaker main villains for me sadly despite how crazy King Crimson is. Some characters feel like missed opportunities and could've used more screentime like with Fugo, Trish, and Narancia. Gold Experience is stupidly overpowered even without requiem. The way Giorno uses the snake at the end of the Illuso fight is hands down one of the dumbest moments in the entire series.
3 - Solid but nearly every other part outshines this in nearly every way. The formula gets a bit boring at times. Avdol, Kakyoin, and Iggy are kind of underused and Jotaro feels a bit like a Deus Ex Machina at times. Most of the fights towards the end are really solid though.
1 - Enjoyable but not that great. Dio pretty much carries this entire part.

I find most of the parts to be pretty standalone outside of some setup which each part explains pretty well so skipping parts doesn't really bug me at all and I never found myself confused because of it. Especially with the alternate universe parts. I'll get to 7 soon enough. Just not in the mood to read it yet.

Part 1 was really good. I do admit it was pretty standard compared to other jojo parts . But if you look at it separately you see that it was a decent show.

Honestly part 2 is my favorite the story was amazing and the fights were amazing (though the info was over whelming though that's evey anime and jojo ever in general) the characters were great joseph is by far my favorite jojo he was young and immature leading to actual improvement of the character to learn his abilities unlike every other part especially crusader to where jotaro just knew how to use his stan the whole time.
Even though JoJolion isn't finished, it's already by far my favorite. The same happened with part 5, I loved it so much even though it wasn't finished yet. Then the ending happened, and it fell down to maybe my 3rd ranked part lol.
After reading multiple theories on Reddit, I have come to reason that Kira is the villain of JoJolion.
While he may be a counterpart of the main protag, there are moments where you can notice Kira's feelings dominate, especially in chapter 93. Gappy feels the urge to do anything just to save Holly, even if it means killing off those who get in his way (i.e. Damo and his gang). In 93, Gappy's feelings for Holly are overtly noticable. I've hypothesized that Gappy is Part 8's villain; he has the willingness to slaughter the doctors who planned on mass-producing the Rokakaka (to treat people with seemingly untreatable illnesses and injuries) in order to get what he wants, which is to cure his mother's disease.

I’ve only watched the anime so far, but for sure am gonna read the manga soon, but for me battle tendency is criminally underrated I loved it a lot, it’s what originally got me into jojo. I thought part 3 was meh, DIB is probably my favorite though I loved the characters in it and really liked Josuke a lot and the bonds he made with other characters felt meaningful because they persisted throughout the whole part. I liked part 5 a lot , but Giorno was a little boring I mainly enjoyed it for bucciarati’s crew and the interactions they had. I wish that we could have stardust crusaders characters with the writing of golden wind I would be so happy BC stardust crusaders had my favorite characters so far, especially jotaro and polnareff, loved the video 💕
The so called "problem" of part 5 is that Giorno didn't have that much of screen time, but I think it's better because all members of Bucciarati's team had their stories explained along with Giorno and this is personally one of the best things in Part 5, since the main villain is obsessed with "killing" the past, everyone of the main cast and also his past gets theirs explained

I don't know how you can rank it as your favourite. I can understand saying you like it but part 2 seems to just do everything part 1 Deos but better.

There's more comedy to break of the stagnant dark tones. Compared to Jonathan's one dimensional character. The walls of texts that were the "fights" and the dark medieval setting(tho this is just personal preference) I just can't see part 1 as anything but inferior to part 2. Though I still respect your opinion.

Phantom Blood was fine, but just a little dull and kind of a slog to get through.
Stone Ocean was much more interesting than Phantom Blood, but I thought the minor villain's stands got fairly convoluted and made for some weird fights, and I thought the main villain was pretty average as far as the series villains go. I also dislike how underdeveloped several members of the main cast are and the ending just felt rushed to me.
I like Diamonds is Unbreakable. I think Josuke, Okyuasu and Koichi are some of the best characters in the series and Kira is one of the best villains. I'm just not a fan of slice of life, so as good as the second half of it is for me, its bogged down by the first half.
Battle Tendency was super enjoyable. Joseph and Caesar are two of my favorite characters in the franchise and I think the dynamic they have with each other is just wonderful. The story is interesting, characters have character growth and Whamuu.
I know it's not for everyone but I really enjoy the format of Stardust Crusaders. I liked the stand battles, I like the character interactions, and most importantly I liked getting payoff for watching part one.
Golden Wind takes everything that I liked about Stardust Crusaders and does it better.
I feel like Jojolion is DiU at its best. It's full of mystery and interesting characters with more interesting stands. It also helps that Gappy is my second favorite Jojo.
Steel Ball Run is the peak of the series. It has my favorite JoJo, JoBro, and Jofoe. It's plot is great, it's characters get real development, and It has my favorite stands in the whole series. Like said in the video, it really is Araki's Magnum opus.

Ironically the setting is what makes me like Stone Ocean. Not specifically that it's a prison, but that the characters stay in one place and we as the audience can actually become familiar with a location for once

honestly. most people hate the prison setting because stand fights are "restricted" and they said it's boring. but that is actually what makes it different from other parts. this ain't a stardust crusader where yall fight in an open area in a desert or some shit. this is about someone trying to breakout from a prison in order to defeat someone. 💀 man, even the viviano westwood fight in prison still one of the best fights in jojo.

Regarding stone ocean, I enjoyed it a lot when reading it for the first time. Maybe it's because I don't dislike the prision setting as much as you do, but I liked a lot the main cast, the fights were also very, very good and I think I would put it above Part 3 at the very least.

I must say I greatly disagree with what you said regarding Part 3, the fact that we got so many innocent moments is what to me made thr part so memorable and actually played a huge role in making the finally so tragic and incredible. It also serves to be what the remaining crusaders remembers most when thinking about the trip always talking about “how great of a trip it was”
DIO was the sole drive but that the characters had moments of respite where the world was just fun little moments or talking about different cultures really sells the idea of these men spending so much time together really getting to know eachother and care for eachother.
Also the point about being an enemy in every episode felling repetitive I think has to be blamed on the way we percieve the trip. Every other part also has a new stand user ever episode to challenge the heroes but the difference between part 3 and the others is that they are always on the move so the setting changes along with the enemies making it stand out (just my personal theory)

I did wanna put it much higher as its clear that Araki has grown in writing capability specifically with Gyro and Johnny’s friendship really feeling realistic. Main villain is also funny. But I do think the ending really hurts this part. It just feels so unfulfilling on so many things and also really drops the pacing after The Valentine fight. Would have put it much higher if the payoff was better.

Great part. Again really like it but the slow pacing of the 1/3 of the part really bores me. The lack of a main goal really hurts the part I think. Its only after Kira is introduced that the plot truly begins imo. But after that it is just an amazing part.

Davin Rucker Yeah, sorry. Johnny felt like a side character that was sidetracked. I guess I was expecting Lucy and him to get together at the end due to Part 1. Which I guess kinda added to my disappointment. I think Valentine getting defeated so far from the end was weird and stupid. Watching Diego use The world was awesome and it was great to get a final Brando/Joestar showdown for old times sake but It should have been a penultimate fight. Valentine: Great villain, criminally underutilized.
I didnt like how Johnny’s entire motivitation is build on a self serving goal of being able to walk again. There was no grander purpose like not allowing a singular country to posess a holy corpse. Also while Diego being defeated by Lucy was unexpected and kind of cool, it once again really Robbed Johnny as a character.

Also there is another fight with Diego because Araki didn’t want the same situation he had with GER, because GER is a Deus ex machina because he only has one fight and has no weakness, so he gave TUSK4 2 fight and showed a possible way to counter it. Also valentine’s fight doesn’t end in the love train ark, it ends once Diego is dead, because Diego was his last bid for the corpse parts.

Joesph was fun to watch because of how out of his depth he was. He didn't power through, he couldn't. I'd argue a Gary Stu "finds the power" while Joseph eeked out a W using by any means necessary.

3. Diamond is Unbreakable: Yoshikage Kira should have been implemented in the storyline a few episodes earlier to build up tension
2. Golden Wind: Italy portrayed in all its glory and its just so awesome and nice to watch. Every episode was enjoyable and the only negative thing is diavolo being only introduced halfway through.
1. Steel Ball Run: Its perfect in any way and is a well deserved Nr. 2 in my All-Time favorite Manga. I had so much more fun reading it than any other part and arakis art was just peak during that time

8. Phantom Blood. Honestly it wasn't as bad as most people made it out and I finished it in under 2 days though the pacing is really weird.
7. Battle Tendency. I'm probably in the minority on this one since I didn't found it as in treating as the other parts but I really did enjoy Joseph.
6. Stardust Crusaders. I really enjoyed the main cast and I liked how the stands where introduced. Though the pacing can feel a bit sluggish.
5. Stone Ocean. I actually found this part to be overlooked since it contains some of my favorite characters, battles, and I enjoyed the second hafh. Not so much as the first Hafh.
4. Jojolion. I've haven't chached up to the latest chapters but I did like the mystery and learning about the other characters.
3. Vento Areo. I really like the fast pace action, and while there where a few things that a noted me I really enjoyed this part a lot.
2. Dimond is Unbrakable. It features a lot of my favorite characters. And I liked the setting in Morioh, and I also like the slice of life stuff.
1. Steel Ball Run. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this one, but this part was just full of surprises that I couldn't stop reading it.

This is a pretty solid list- I’m watching/reading through rn and can see your points. I’m on part 5 and so far every Jojo’s part has been better than the last. I literally have my rankings from worst to best as 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. I like Giorno a lot but can understand your criticism. For me I just like how he has the drive and determination of dio with a better moral compass and his character design is peak. Great video 👍
part2 is on the lower end for me because of Ceaser while initially, I loved him as I mulled it over his purpose just felt flat as time went on. Mainly because araki stated Ceaser was supposed to represent a more brother like bond that he tried to get with William but felt he miss. This is fine but at the same time, I still felt like it missed the mark simply because he felt too similar to Joseph with only small differences to set them apart. I would have much more preferred he had calm and cool demeanor to contrast from josephs bombastic personality. Also, Lisa Lisa felt really underused imo with her never really getting a proper face of against kars and only dealing with fodder. Dont get me wrong I still enjoyed it just in grand scheme of the series to me it felt weaker than future parts

Watching phantom blood for the first time and seeing Dio shooting Jonathan with his eye beams, I was so used to in anime the main characters getting the win against the main villain in the end and surviving (DBZ and Naruto) that when it showed Jonathan’s death date I paused the TV for a moment almost in tears cause Jonathan is tied for my favorite jojo along with Josuke.

The thing I didn't like about Battle tendency were the characters. I mean Joseph is my favorite Jojo's character, but the rest of the cast felt really bland and I think that the characters are what make Jojo's what it is, not the story, so that's why I feel it gets a lot of hate. I still like it more than part 1.

It's weird, every new part I started on I thought was going to be so bad because I loved the previous so much
1. Steel Ball Run - Has the best story, a great antagonist(Funny Valentine) and some of my favorite characters(Diego, Gyro)
2. Golden Wind - Has ths best main cast(Bruno, Mista etc), interesting minor villains(Risotto, Prosciutto) and the best fights(King Crimson vs Metallica, Bruno vs Prosciutto)
3. Diamond is Unbreakable - Great setting(Morioh), best antagonist(Kira) and good side characters(Koichi, Rohan)
4. Stone Ocean - Interesting Jojo(Jolyne) and a great ending but boring fights and uninteresting side characters
5. Battle Tendency - Has the best Jojo(Joseph) but also the worst villain(Kars)
6. Stardust Crusaders - Horrible pacing and repetitive fights but had a great dynamic between Jotaro and Dio
7. Phantom Blood - Bland characters and a predictable story but a great starting point for the entire series

It took me awhile to enjoy the show once they introduced the stands. But polnareffs fight near the end of star crusader is what made the show AMAZING

I loved season 1. People will talk smack about it being “generic” and whatnot without realising that opinion on itself became generic. Hamon was a great battle system and there were many interesting uses for it, as shown in season 2. Jonathan is a cool character because although simple he is a formula that works. If he hadn’t worked many of us would not have continued to watch the series to arrive at what it became later on. Jonathan was likeable because he represented a pure spirit on harsh times, making sacrifices for the greater good. Young Joseph was likeable because he appeared to be a self insert at first but later on the same episode showed his own face by taking unexpected actions and threw people off guard as he always does.
The first 2 seasons had the bizarre element of JoJo because they are where it came from and it was all a LOT more grounded than now and a lot more believable. Hamon being able to serve as controlled electricity and having interactions with the world around is awesome. It’s not like: “Hey btw we’ll GIVE you this power and it can break the laws of nature by stopping time or straight up resetting the whole thing. Bye byeeee!”
And people treat it like it’s any different from any harem anime with an op edgelord as protagonist. Season 4 is way better than 3, 5 and 6 I’ll agree and better than 1 by a little bit but that’s as much as I’ll take it. Season 2 is the champ and shall forever be in my eyes.

Like SO is the first part with a Jojo that is actually worked and has character development. It has a good main cast with no bad characters, it gaves DIO more deph, Pucci is one of the best villains and it has such a good fights with the use of physics and other sciences with so much creativity. And the ending makes me cry xd. I never found it boring like part 1,2,3 and some chapters of 4. Sorry if my english is not good but I just can't understand his arguments lmao
