Hiking in Miramar Pineland Park, Florida

- Video I filmed in Miramar Pineland Park. This is a great place to go hiking to see many species of plants and wildlife. Some of the plants and wildlife you can see in this video is the following;
1. Lady of the night cactus (Cereus hexagonus). Some of these cactus are over 8 feet tall. These catcus are native to South America.
2. South Florida slash pine (Pinus elliottii var. densa). There are many big South Florida slash pines in this park.
3. Sabal palm (Sabal palmetto). The Sabal palm is the Official State Tree of Florida.
4. Live oak (Quercus virginiana). There are many big live oak trees in this park.
5. Opuntia cactus. This is a native species of cactus that grows in this park.
6. Various species of ferns. There are many ferns growing under the South Florida slash pines and live oak trees.
7. Muscadine grape vine (Vitis rotundifolia). Muscadine grape vines can be seen growing under South Florida slash pines and live oak trees.
8. Cocoplum (Chrysobalanus icaco). Cocoplum can be seen growing under the South Florida slash pines and live oak trees.
9. Six lined racerunner (Aspidoscelis sexlineatus). Six lined racerunners are a native lizard species that can be found in the park.
10. Brown anole (Anolis sagrei). Brown anoles are an exotic lizard species that can be found throughout the park.
