I applied to my current role November 2023. Role was filled. I shrugged it off they told me I was a strong candidate & I had really connected with everyone along the way. They told me to look out as the team is growing so I felt like they hadn't written me off. Additional role opened in February 2024 in the same team. Hired almost immediately!! I used the interview intervention 😀 book strategies it was an immense help and confidence booster. From November I totally see how they most likely had a difficult time choosing candidates my colleague is amazing. 😊
I want to add when I reapplied the leadership said I had guts to do it. That apparently not many people reapply (to their knowledge) after being rejected. Honestly I didn't even sweat it 😅 based on the interview I knew they needed my skills & knowledge and I just had to wait for them to add another role in the first quarter. It wasn't even in my mindset that I should be scared of being rejected the 2nd time.
I 125% agree. My IT career allowing me to train in healthcare for the past 12 years ago, began on a Monday after Thanksgiving Day. I recall interviewing after Oct. 31st. I received my first high paying 3 month project work ~ contract where I interviewed around Christmas and 1st day boots on the ground was mid January. I will be interviewing tomorrow morning for a 6 week remote project that will begin in a few weeks through Jan 2025. Salary is so good, awfully good. Why, because I have discovered long ago I save companies and more specifically hospitals and departments half million +. I ❤ listening to your presentation. I listened to you for my 1st contract. By the way, I resigned from my 12 year IT job a few months after reorg. A month after my exit, there was a massive layoff. Go figure!
ii really needed this today. Thank-you. I just erased all my bullets because they feel fabricated, and I'm recycling back my network to pick up where I left off Nov 4, 2019 even if its the 5th time and they ghosted me. Don't quit.
@andylacivita omg!! I believe you mentioned something of taking a contract job for startups companies? The founder liked my skillset so much for Ai medical sales put me at the highest bracket of commissions. Also founder mentioned there was a three part interview process, he liked me so much do you want to work for us on the spot. After 6 months they will negotiate salaries, when I exceed their expectations I will be considered full time. They said if my production is the best they will look at salary negotiations prior to 6 months. It’s been almost 5.5 months looking/doing referral interviews. I’m so thankful for your content!! You’re a definite Godsend!!! Bless you!!
❤ this video, so true about looking now. Even if you don’t get the job somehow you wind up sticking in their memory and they will call you for another role. This has happened to people I’ve known many times.
I love all your videos and your energy!👍 Also, I do agree with you. I changed my job this week, and I've just learned that my friend received a job offer, too! Thanks for all your tips!🎉
Hey Andrew, thanks for your tips. I noticed that this season of year is when I receive many messages from recruiters. Some are just speculative calls to know how much I earn and I think they are calibrating their budget, because I never hear back from them.
Not much good response and need to care about my current finance. End up having to take a contract role since the past few months have not got much bite or good responses. How do you even choose companies when you don’t know which to choose or the role you are going for?

The ATS = Applicant Trashing System. Simply the perfect translation.
Unfortunately so true!
I've been using it ever since I first heard him say it. Lol.

It is! We're interviewing for a couple of posts this month / next, after nothing all year. Pretty much for exactly the reasons you say.

Hang in there. Activity is good!

I'm putting an app in for Starbucks right now.
Good luck!!
Love this! Does anyone have any tips on how to find the companies you want to work for? There are a lot and a lot of them hire remotely.
I have videos on my channel on this!
@@andylacivita Thanks Andy, I'll take a look
