Great vid Sedge. Now you'll have to do a separate video on surface clamping. Using Festool clamping elements and perhaps other wedge-type clamps like the UJK ducks. I find myself using those a lot nowadays. I mention the clamping elements because a lot of folks have trouble with them angling up. Maybe you have some tips on how to address that.
I’ve always thought that the MFT is the one tool that makes every other tool that I own better. As much as I love the Domino, I recently built a small table where the geometry didn’t work with the Domino, so I had to resort to pocket screws. Using my old pocket screw jig was such a pleasure with the MFT. If I had bought the MFT first, maybe I never would have bought the Domino.
@@sedgetoolThe MFT3 is always the first tool that I set up for any project. I like it so much that I just ordered 2 MFT HZ 80 clamps from Germany as there is no word on when they will be available in the US.
@@nathanclaytor4083 Some distributors are receiving the last of the manufactured stock from Festool. According to my German distributor, the VAC SYS is now discontinued.
@@Mike--K Thanks for that info Mike I appreciate it. Luckily I just took delivery last week from my local distributor of the se 2. I am glad I put in the order about four months ago, I will probably load up on the accessories now as that stock probably will sell fast. Thanks again for the info
I've lived in Greatah Boston for the last 25 years. Love you guys. Yous ah awsome!

Thanks, Sedge. Another short but content-rich video. Lots of solid pointers -- and you're great about always giving us the why, and not just the how.
Wicked ....Thanks !!!!!!!!!!
Sedge is always worth watching, even if you know most of the tips there's always that one gem in there you didn't know yet! 👌🏻😎

Always something to learn! The main tip I picked up here was the corner clamping with the dog. Thanks for the tips as always!
Happy to help! Thanks Phillip !!!
Some of these things may seem obvious to people who do this everyday, but this is excellent instruction. I always take a tidbit from your vids!
Thank you very much !!!!!!
Great video, you are so good at teaching. The only thing you forgot was to tell Big Dee "that is the best clamp down I have ever seen". :)
Great point! ...LOL !!!!

This is a timely video for alternative clamping methods without a VAC SYS...now that Festool has discontinued the VAC SYS. ☹️
VAC SYS is available again ⚡️👍
Great point! I'm bummed it is being phased out as well.......
