This is very interesting project. I had a 600 years ago. Had planned a rear engine package(out of a front drive car) . Building the whole package as a subframe. Life changed and I had to move on. It doesn't remind me of something.... I remember years ago helping some University kids with their engineering project. They were building some pretty trick shifter carts/cars. They used a lot of high tech processes as learning tools. The one thing they discovered after we had mentioned it. Motorcycle engines don't like to be run hard in a flat plane. Meaning they rely on centrifugal force to keep the oil in the pan. They tend to starve for oil when run under load in a cart/car. They went through several motors before they brought it to us. After that they went to a very cool dry sump system. Food for thought.👍
I'm paused at 3:39 and just want to buy your fab table and jig/tooling. that's brillllliant - thanks for sharing so much great detail and keen insight. As a jack-of-all-trades diving into my first full motor-swap custom, watching you go thru the process on such a similar car is just extra extra cool with me!
You inspire me man, I’m taking some of your ideas aha im a 16 year old working with the tools I have access to which isn’t much. I found myself a 72 Honda n600 and am planning to do the same. Hope you continue uploading daily, so I can learn some of your tricks and tips on building one up myself!
Absolutely awesome work there mate, I’m really glad that you’ve decided to go for the rear wheel drive setup. These little cars just look born to slide. 👌

Your backgear lathe is missing drip oil pots for the headstock bearings, a pair of ebay cheapies and motorcycle oil should keep it going.

Front wheel drive will be more cool because honda.. but it’s doesn’t matter 🤷🏽♂️🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
