    Someone name me an athlete that broke 62 records in one season? I'll wait, because I haven't heard of any athlete accomplish break so many records in one year

      How about Magic Johnson scoring a rookie record 42 points in an NBA finals (still a rookie record) while playing all 5 positions. Averaging 18.0 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game? Not 62 records per se ... but a more impressive rookie record nonetheless.

      @larrytoole1476 62 is insultingly made up. Name them, wait I will go first. Most turnover in one year. Your turn

    • @gale826
      @gale826 3 часа назад

      Go look at the most turnovers top 20 NBA players and think about it. You will understand if you try. CC's usage leads the league. CC's passing difficulty leads the league. Both those categories point to an understanding of why her turnovers will always be high. In addition, WNBA players are far more skilled at poking the ball loose than college players. It took her some time to understand that and make adjustments to her ball position for more protection. Last but not least, no player in WNBA history has endured the dedicated defense thrown at her.

    I think this coach is a mixture of laid back, intense, kind and fair. Besides, like Iowa folks, not egocentric. She looks so relaxed and rested. She also knows how to keep private private.

    Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin are winners but so are you Coach Lisa Bluder!! You helped instill and revalidate those values of kindness, caring about others, professionalism and sportsmanship and conduct like Caitlin and Martin’s parents did!! You too are a HERO and a FABULOUS COACH!!

    Caitlin Clark will have REAL fans continue to show up at her games and support her despite the fake fans who now hate her.

    • @freedomlost6466
      @freedomlost6466 День назад +2

      I disagree. A lot of her real fans will leave with the white privilege situation. People are just sick of the race card. She could have been smart and spoke about just uplifting all women, but she caved. I know many, including myself, that will no longer be supporting her. This is why sports and the WNBA are failing so much. You can say we were never real fans. It's your opinion, but we still won't watch, and it hurt her a lot.

    • @SisterNoble
      @SisterNoble День назад +8

      @freedomlost6466 Okay, well, she knew what backlash would come with her comments. Evidently, she was tired of the bullshit. She was sick of people harassing others in her name, using her name to spread hate, and to go after other players. Obviously, she didn't want to be used to promote some movement against black WNBA players or the league itself.

    Loving and supportive people around her is exactly what Caitlin Clark needs and deserves! people are so quick to judge that it has become the norm which is sad. I wish Caitlin all the success in everything she does and hope she knows what a truly amazing young lady she is!

    Here are facts:
    No one outside of the WNBA community knew Taurasi, Aja, Breanna and others.
    Caitlin Clarke Effect gave the WNBA and these women significanr visibility.
    Visibility equates to more money for the WNBA, teams and eventually the players.
    Reminding that the state of the WNBA is not that good. To say that it was growing before Caitlin is not as rosy as we are led to believe.
    Here are yearly ranking for attendances from 27 yrs of the league.
    WNBA saying past players have been building up the league is questionable. Yearly average attendances over last 27 years don't lie. Here is ranking of last 6 years:
    2023 ranks 24th/27(yrs),
    2022 ranks 26th
    2021 ranks 27th
    2019 ranks 25th
    2018 ranks 23rd
    2017 ranks16th
    Caitlin came and lifted2024 ranks 3rd27 yrs
    CAITLIN IS SAVING THE LEAGUE THAT WAS BALLING THEMSELVES TO OBLIVION. THE PRODUCT SUCKS AND NOT GROWING AT ALL.
    ENGELBERT MAY THINK SHE HAS POSITIVE GROWTH WHEN SHE TOOK OVER IS BASED ON THE LOWEST ATTENDANCE AVERAGE 27TH in 2021 AND SHE'S LIFTED THE LEAGUE ATTENDANCE in 2024.

    It's sad that a 22 year old woman that loves the game of basketball and wants to succeed at that game, can't accomplish that in America without a firestorm of hate and judgment. Neither race ,black or white show much advancement in the area of kindness and humility.

      @@gale826 nobody is trying to hurt Clark. Have you seen some of the fouls other players have taken? Argue that the WNBA is too physical if you want but it isn’t aimed specifically at Clark. That is just what gets shown.
